I was one of those people getting my family 1/2 price socks at Fred Meyer this morning att 5am, followed by the fabric store at 6am, and the mall before 8am. Now I have projects to do!
It's now 3:30 and I gave up on crocheting while all 3 kids are awake (also, my eyes kept closing).. Just downed a cup of strong tea, waiting for the caffeine to kick in. I want to decorate, but my house is messy (aka I want it to look cute and country, but I have kids). Anyone else shop at the crack of dawn? It a tradition for my mom and I...
My mom, sister, SILs, cousin, and I went shopping at 6am. We went to Walmart, AC Moore, (Starbucks), Target, (breakfast), Home Depot, and Joann's. My only great find of the day was a new Chi straightener for my SIL not with us.
H and I are currently looking at new ovens. Guess what I'm, I mean we're, getting for Christmas!!!! Best Christmas ever!
All three of us are sick with some sort of nastiness. Gunky, exhausted, and just feeling gross. Tomorrow O & I are going out for breakfast with my friend and then I think we're done socializing for the weekend. We'll probably decorate over the next two days. I'm currently shopping for more decorations from the comfort of home.
It always used to be a tradition, but most deals are on Thursday now. I went to Carters last night to see what kind of gift card I could score, but the $5 I got wasn't worth standing in line. I went across the street to our home town mall and didn't find anything too exciting there either. Today we stopped at the outlets on the way back home and got a good deal on some Pyrex storage containers that DH will be giving me for Christmas haha. I also went to JoAnns on Wednesday and today and got lots of flannel and fleece.

A big no thanks to Black Friday crowds here. H bought some things online, but otherwise, we stayed home, finished Christmas decorating, and ate yummy lasagna. It ended with wine, cake, and the first (new) episode of Gilmore girls. Perfect Black Friday for me
No shopping for me today (except for diapers). Both kids have little colds, and I'm trying to keep ds' from settling in his chest, so we've been doing breathing treatments every 4-6 hours to stay of top of it. Of course, DH is getting a man cold now, so the next few days should be fun.
I think my parents are going to watch the kids for us tomorrow night so we can go to the movies.
I met my mom and niece at 7 and got home after 2:30 today. We went to target, Walmart, kohls, J.C. Penney, & old navy. I'm most excited for my memory foam pillow and the little people holiday train I got for LO!
We made it home from the hospital!! H wanted to stop on our way home for some Black Friday deal, so I stayed in the car with L while he ran into the store. We picked up E and it hit me that I have a family of four now.
Trigger warning: DH found out last week that his grandfather, who has been battling cancer since April will most likely not make it to Christmas. So H left to visit his grandpa tonight.
Not sure how I did it, but I got both kids to sleep on my own.
Best wishes to your H and seeing his grandpa, tjanca22.
Hopefully going to make it to the city this weekend and get some returns and shopping done. I've done a ton of online shopping and gotten so much checked off and know what I want to go physically purchase in stores, phew! I love early Christmas shopping! So depending what the malls are like we might try to get the kids to see Santa while we are there. We have a couple malls we need to go to so hopefully one of them is not too crazy.
Sunday we plan on setting up the tree and doing our interior decorations! Outdoor has been done and on for a week or two now!
I like to live dangerously so I went to the grocery store Wednesday night, Kohl's at opening on Thursday night, and Target and a convenience store on Black Friday. I spent longer in line at the convenience store than I did the other 3 combined. I really didn't expect the crowd to be at the mini mart. It's not like you can get a Hatchimal or a cheap 5000 inch TV there.
H went shopping with his brother Thursday night which is their tradition, but there was nothing good this year IMO. No shopping in person Friday. The kids and I hung out at MIL's all day watching Hallmark and Lifetime Christmas movies. Finally saw Bad Moms too and I was disappointed by it.
Today we are doing the typical Saturday grocery shopping, laundry, etc. I am going to try to put up the tree today too since we are doing minimal decorating in fear of LO destroying things. Family birthday party at Chuck E Cheese tomorrow.

Late to the party but we went to toys r us on Thanksgiving and got some great deals that ended at midnight. We ended up saving about 55%!! We got way more stuff for J than we intended to, but we spent less than we planned. I still have a whole amazon list of books I want for her, hoping they go on sale for cyber Monday. I started my xmas decorating yesterday, and today we decorate the tree! We decided to buy a fake tree from Costco and I'm absolutely in love with it! It's 9 ft tall and just perfect in every way! I got my moms santa collection out, which I haven't seen in almost 10 years, and I was pretty emotional about it. Christmastime makes me so sad because of my family, but I'm so excited to make new memories with J. Can't wait to post pictures!
I hope your DH is able to have some quality time with his grandpa tjanca22. Love to all of you No Black Friday shopping here, but E and I went with my MIL to a new Family Dollar store in her town. It's a pretty big deal for them to have something like that in town since the nearest department store is at least 20 minutes away. The rest of yesterday was spent visiting with DH's family. Last night before bed I ended up LLR shopping. I found some amazing deals and I get to call them all birthday presents, haha. Today I get to lounge and do anything I want... Except I am undecided about what to do!

So sorry about your H's grandpa tjanca22. I hope you're able to get some sleep in this weekend.
My parents are coming over in an hour and still debating what to do when M wakes up. Don't really want to go anywhere but feeling like we should do something's just don't know what.

I didn't go out to the stores until late afternoon yesterday. Got some of the pajamas sets at Walmart for J, nothing else really interested me. Today, I'm doing a vendor event. Offering free shipping over $50 and a chance to win a FREE Shine-a-Light book today, if anyone needs to order some books for gifts

I just shopped online. DNW to tote DD around in those crowds.
We're putting our tree up tonight! DD has the word "Santa" down and has loved each Christmas decoration I've pulled out so far. This is going to be such a fun year with our kiddos.
Black Friday isn't a big deal here. We hit up the Festival of Trees after work and got an epically bad picture of LO. Then he chose not to sleep at all Friday but he slept well last night and had a good nap today.
Bluedaisy, we're currently in the end dregs of a no-nap day. Unfortunately I had planned to do a lot of things during his nap. But the tree is up, the mantle is decorated, and a couple other things are up. Maybe I'll work on it bit by bit at night this week.
H has been working to replace the my faucet in the bathroom for the last 4 hours. The previous owners of our home always did...interesting renditions with their repairs/upgrades. He had to cut the faucet apart to get it out. It had started leaking and creating puddles whenever I used it. He still has to do his. Hopefully it won't be as difficult. I'm going to guess he isn't doing it tonight.
