We go home today. H was up throwing up a lot last night, which sucks for him, but we are sharing a room with X and H sounds like a monster throwing up,so I was also up every time with a scared babe. Then his alarm went off at 5:30 by mistake. Spent an hour trying to get X back to sleep only for him to wake up as soon as I set him down.
I hope it's something H ate. DNW tummy troubles in airports and planes.

We had a 5:30 wake up that we decided to let him cry out. Which he did, but he fell asleep sitting up which was hilarious. And I opened my eyes to look at the monitor in time to see him tip forward into the mattress. Somehow he didn't wake himself up despite slamming his face down... He's going to be cranky for daycare! I'm thinking we will get a good nap out of him.
Married 10/10/10! TTC Baby #1 since April 2014 BFP Oct 16 - EP terminated Nov 6 2014 Off the Bench January 2015! BFP #2 June 1 2015 - EDD Feb 12 2016! Baby Boy born 15th February 2016!
rivers and roads, sorry abt your H. Mine is like that too. Hope he feels better soon.
Posted on fb about insomnia. Finally got back to sleep around 430 or 5? Then H was up at 6 and apparently I slept thru crying baby... but I got maybe 4 hrs total? All the caffeine today.
Good morning. It's just me and DS today so I should clean the living room and possibly work on Christmas cards, but I think we're going to nap right now.
I woke up at 3am because my left leg felt weird. Like almost numb, but also not. It was kind of painful. I have a knot in my left hip so maybe it's affecting my whole leg. I must book a massage for myself soon.
Well apparently we have the slowest moving least dramatic stomach bug. After L throwing up twice on Friday and twice Saturday, C woke up throwing up this morning. Poor kid has never thrown up (that he remembers). He was so sad and kept apologizing. Broke my heart. Also, now I feel like dead man walking, because it's coming for me. rivers and roads I have all the sympathy. SO also sounds like an injured dinosaur when he throws up and I haaaaaate it. Can not imagine being stuck in hotel with that. I hope it was just something he ate too! Sending stomach of steel vibes your way.
Morning! Something weird is going on with me and I don't know what it is/why it's happening. It was happening yesterday and I can already feel it starting today. I feel super full/bloated/have indigestion. And then last night shortly before bed I got a sharp pain in the middle of my upper back, right between the shoulder blades. Dr. google tells me it could be my gallbladder.
rivers and roads sorry for the rough night, I hope your H is feeling better today and the rest of you don't catch it. Safe travels!
auchick913 sorry for the insomnia. I have that some nights too, it's like my brain doesn't want to shut off. Playing on my phone makes it worse for me.
DS still has his cold and we're working on another tooth so he's a bundle of misery and just wants to comfort nurse, especially to sleep. He's started throwing his pacifier and crying/grabbing at my boob when I'm holding him trying to do naptime routine.
My mom is planing on coming over tomorrow so i'll probably try to set up the tree then.
rivers and roads I hope X feels better! I can't believe how many F16 babies have gotten the stomach flu!
trtlcrzy I suffer from gall bladder pain occasionally and that does seem like it. For me it's almost always at night and I feel like I need to vomit or poop and I get severe pain in my middle but I can't vomit or poop. Usually fall asleep in the fetal position in the bathroom. If you can get to a doctor WHILE it's happening I highly recommend it because I always go once the pain is gone and they just shrug and say "yeah that sucks but looks like you're fine now!" Grr
In other news, the baby got me sick again and this morning can eat rocks.
Speaking of carriers who is still using one? I stopped a few months ago because she's just too heavy (not weight limit for the carrier, but weight limit for ME). We have a hiking backpack but that's for hiking only - it's huge.

Only when we take the dog to the trail, which isn't very often and then I usually make MH carry him.
+1 to sick baby club. My guys are on week 4 of this cough but ped tells us viral coughs can last up to 6 weeks and there's absolutely nothing we can do about it. L has thrown up 3 or 4 times now bc he coughs so hard.
After 4 days of having dh to cover morning wake ups I lay in bed for about 5 min at 7 this morning hearing 'dadadadada' on the monitor before I realized dh was already at work and that was my cue to get up.
In other news our nanny quit this weekend with zero notice. Said there was a family emergency that she had to leave town indefinitely. No idea what that could be. (And the fact that she just so happened to use her vacation time last week makes it a bit suspect, but I'd hope if she knew she'd be quitting she would have done it last weekend since we paid the vacation week in advance to give us at least a tiny bit more notice). Anyway, MIL is watching them again this week.
I honestly don't know how we're having such shitty nanny luck. I know I'm biased in thinking my kids are the best, but for real they are calm, chill, happy babies. They hardly ever cry. And we're paying over 30k. I feel like this should be easier.

kate61487, I'm sorry about your nanny troubles. It's probably the early 20's age demographic more than anything you or your boys are doing.
apunicorn, we have to use our carrier when we go to the grocery store. There's not much aisle space and I don't think strollers are allowed. At least I've never seen one.
Is center based care an option for you all? I feel like our kids are getting to an age when the added interaction with other kids is a plus.
Anecdotally - my cousin(in law) with twins has been having similar issues. All my sorries.
We really don't want to introduce daycare germs until they're 2 given they were so preemie. Plus this never ending cold has made us all miserable so dh is even more anti daycare lol.
I'm considering taking mil up on her full time care offer if it still stands. I honestly don't know if she can handle it but I'm hoping she'd tell us if it got to be too much and if that were the case my mom can help temporarily (she has to stay with us when she watches them bc the drive is too far to make daily) while we started the nanny search over. Originally I said no to mil bc I thought it would be too much for her (she's 66) and bc I thought the dynamic would be challenging, but she's been our backup care between nannies and on nanny sick/vacation days and it's been fine dynamic-wise, so I'm reconsidering.

Oh no, kate61487! She seemed like a good one too. That's so incredibly frustrating. I'm glad your MIL is close and available during these times.
h has been vom free for a few hours so hopefully the worst of it is over.
apunicorn, I still wear X a lot. Have you tried back carries with a soft structured carrier? Or a woven wrap? Look up Babywearing International in your city and go to a free meeting. They'll help you try all kinds of things to find a way to wear her that works! You can pay $30 for a year and rent a different carrier each month so you can try all kinds of things!
omg kate61487 I'm so sorry about the nanny situation. That's ridiculous. Could you maybe find a smaller in-home daycare? That's what we do, it's only 4 kids. And add V to the "throwing up from coughing" club. I feel so bad for her.

I have an ergo 360 that can go on the back. Maybe I should try it out, I've only done the front carry. I'm just afraid with the back carry that she will not like it and I'll be a mile from home with no option but to carry her in my arms haha
Kate, sorry for your nanny troubles! Maybe a parent/grandparent had a stroke or heart attack out of town and she's going to stay with them/nearby until they get better.
I'm glad you can rely on your MIL for backup care at least, and I hope you find an awesome new nanny soon

I do occasionally. When we are going somewhere that a stroller would be tough (crowds and whatnot) or appts and things where I can't really put him down (like the vet) or sometimes just for naps/doing chores when he's extra cranky. He's about 22 pounds at this point. I'm 5'2" and 100 lbs so it gets to be heavy after a while, but I'd rather my back hurt than my arms.

Try it around the house for a while! There's a learning curve to getting in and out of it, so you want to try it over a bed or with help anyhow.
auchick913 probably true about the age. I just had high hopes bc I have two friends who are nannies in different states who were with families for years at a time.
apunicorn I had considered that, but selfishly, not having to get the boys ready to leave the house in the morning is really really nice haha. It would probably be our plan c, with daycare as plan d.
