So.. how likely is it that I conceived the exact night we had sex (10/27), got a positive test at 7dpo (11/3), and implantation took longer than expected (I hear it can take up to 12 days?) so I'm closer to 6 weeks pregnant?
My gestational sac measured as 6 weeks on Wednesday. We didn't see anything besides that and a SCH. No fetal pole, no yolk sac.
My betas from Weds came back at 9822. I won't know anything for sure until my ultrasound on the 7th, and I'm freaking out. This seems almost impossible.
I'm scared to go back and confirmed baby stopped growing.

Are they planning to do repeat betas tomorrow? The number doesn't really tell you much unless you know if it's going up or down. At some point it does start to level off, but I would think that if baby had stopped growing your betas would begin to decrease. I'd call and ask for repeat testing tomorrow.
In terms of your question....you can definitely conceive the night you have sex, chances are about 20% on any given day in your FW. While highly unlikely, you theoretically COULD get a positive test at 7DPO, but implantation would have had to already occurred 2-3 days prior to that, as your body doesn't start producing HCG until implantation occurs, and typically you won't produce enough to detect on a HPT until 2-3 days after implantation occurs.
Were there ANY other days that you had sex before 10/27? Could you have ovulated earlier than you think?
ETA: Someone please correct me if my science is wrong...

They aren't having me come back in for repeat betas. They want to stick to the plan of the ultrasound on the 7th.
The only other possible dates I could have conceived from are 10/16 and 10/20.. but that seems unlikely since my gestational sac is only measuring at 6 weeks. I would have definitely seen baby by now, right?

I had THE BEST steak quesadilla for lunch today. There is a food truck that comes to my old office building (we moved back in June to a new office). I made the trip back to the old office building because I was craving the quesadilla. It did not disappoint.

Okay I have my calendar out and I'm trying to figure this out with you. I also had sex on 10/27 and on 10/28. So one of those two days is when I conceived. My first u/s was 11/23 and baby measured at 6w1d and that was 8 days ago, which would put me at exactly 7 weeks this Tuesday, when you were measuring 6 weeks. My RE told me I was measuring 1-2 days ahead. So if we both had sex on the same day and I was measuring a few days ahead, could you possibly be measuring a few days behind and that's what's putting a week difference between our dating scans even though we had sex on the same day? How common is it for babies to grow at different rates this early in pregnancy? Meaning, could our babies both have been conceived on the same day but be measuring at different sizes just because our bodies are different?
I don't know if that was even helpful at all, but maybe gives you a little perspective that maybe you aren't wayyy off in terms of growth in relation to timing of sex. Either way, I'm keeping everything crossed for you. I know the next week is going to be such a long one for you, but I hope you can find some peace these next few days as you wait for answers.
I have been sitting watching mountain lions in my backyard for the last 20 mins. This is the second time I have seen them in a week.
Cool!!! And scary! I have a healthy fear/respect for them. We had one in our backyard when I was in high school. We didn't see him, we heard him. So freaky!

Worked kicked my butt today. Holiday season is so extremely busy.
Does anyone else here have a physically demanding job? I'm worried I may be over doing it. It's my normal though and I do try not to lift more then 30lbs.

I was freaking out. I am thinking they must have a kill close to my house. Now I have to be careful letting my dog out.
That's cool to see outside your door! We have bears at my MILs house and they used to get onto her back deck to steal the bird seed. Scared the crab out of me!

Anything is possible! Weirder stuff happens all the time. Try not to worry about it too much before your next ultrasound - not easy I know.
Thoughts/opinions about ice skating at 9 weeks pregnant? Nothing crazy, just getting my LO on skates for the first time. I haven't skated in years, but I'm not bad at it. Maybe an 80% chance I could make it around the rink a few times without falling on my ass.

Assuming your pregnancy has been uneventful so far I'd do it. It's not like you're 7 months pg with a wonky center of gravity and big belly to hurt in a fall.

akraus2015 - I'm totally not trying to hide the blump. Anyone that asks, yes, I'm pregnant. If they ask how far along, I find that telling them two months makes it seem like I'm further along than if I say 8+ weeks.
