dogmama22 A few months ago didn't you say something about the quality of Medela pumps dropping? I know I'm only 2 seconds pregnant, but I'm looking at my options anyway. I'm thinking of going with a Spectra, but it makes me nervous to move away from what I know.

Yep, ever since they started supplying insurance pumps the quality of the pumps have dropped. I've heard lots of great reviews on the S2

With re: to the pumps, I was just thinking about these. I need to order one even though I still have my Medela and sil gave me her medela that she never used, but figured I wouldn't mind having another as backup. I just saw that Blue Cocoon will order for you, so I might go that route. I was wondering about the spectra too.

Did you contact your insurance or do they list somewhere which pumps they cover? I need to research this.

If you go through Blue Cocoon, let me know how you like it.
My options were listed in the plan. I went with the Medela. Even with insurAnce, there are different model Medela s and even different model pump in style. I read reviews on Amazon of my specific model. I wanted to be able to use my sisters as a backup and be able to interchange the parts.

I looked at a few DME suppliers I remembered from my first go around. You can call your insurance and see who they recommend, but really you should be able to go to any supplier that will accept your insurance.
www.byramhealthcare.com/ is a popular one, but I think I would rather go through Blue Cocoon since they are local.
ETA: if you follow that link, select "start order" and select your ins., the website will populate what's available to you.

Yeah I think Blue Cocoon does the paperwork for you, so it could be a little easier going that route

My insurance isn't listed on there. I'll call them eventually.
vlagroupie where is the shutter going? The bar in the middle look is very classic, elegant. No bar seems to be an updated version- so for more modern, sleek styles.

My mom was saying she got the bar on hers bc they looked more like plantation shutters. I'm so torn bc I like the more modern look but agree it looks more classic the other way.

I personally prefer the classic and would put it in my home but if I had very modern cabinets and furniture, I would do the other one.
If I have to hear my mom talk shit about my life one more fucking time I'm going to lose my mind. Cannot wait to get home tonight.
What is she saying?
Apparently me wanting to dress comfortably means my life is falling apart? I dunno, I try to block her out. I'm crazy for quitting my job with another baby on the way? Because I can work and have two LO's at home while I work anyway? 2.5 yrs to buy a house means we must be doing everything wrong (we waited since it was so unclear if we were staying permanently or not). She is killing me. Eight months before I have to see her again.

I like the bar.
sstwinklinglites that's crazy. I wouldn't like it either if my mom had so much to say about my life. She apparently needs to be taught if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. Lol you guys make the best decisions for your family.
