So, had my pelvis adjusted yesterday hoping it would help my back. It definitely made me feel better yesterday but oh my goodness, my back hurts so bad today. I want to go home /pityparty
Winnifred, I'm so excited this is your month!!!! I'm jealous
W, I would totally be down for a mall food court date Lol But I'm glad you were able to have something nicer!
OMG YOU TOO??
Do I need to make notecards with the new avatars??
W, what a cocky thing to say, especially from a random stranger. I hate people. But not people on here - just people in the real world who don't know their boundaries...
I have received maybe like 3 comments on my pregnancy from strangers this entire time, none of which were inflammatory. This shocks me, but it's probably a good thing because I'm likely to flip out on someone who makes a rude comment, lol.
@wineandcupcakes, don't neural tubes close pretty early, definitely before second trimester? I think you'll be fine, but I know it's hard not to worry anyway. I didn't know about the green potato thing and then it makes you wonder what else don't I know??

Yes, they close by week 6....not that I also researched that last night.
I was just annoyed because I'm so sick of reading how literally everything is harmful in pregnancy.
I hear you. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that they just don't know what is actually harmful to pregnant women, since they can't exactly experiment. And I think just the fact that you are even worrying about things and doing research puts you ahead of the game. You and your babies will be okay! Hugs!
I'm also over how everything is bad. I read somewhere the other day pregnant women shouldn't do saline nasal rinses. (Mayo Clinic says it's fine, even recommended, btw.)

Seriously?! It's saline! I totally understand not using tap water (because brain-eating aeomebas, yo) but saline?! Its just friggen salt water!
I also get frustrated at this. It's like everything is off limits if you look into it enough.
Did you know that even most water treatment plants recommend you don't drink your tap water while pregnant unless you have had it tested because of the levels of lead it may wind up with after working through the water system/plumbing!? I know it's just to be cautious, but I don't want to even read that stuff!
Our fridge leaked and the in-door water was shut off for a week. H bought me bottled spring water because he didn't want me drinking Chicago tap water. It's likely fine, but it does have a distinct yellow hue and doesn't taste great.
@wineandcupcakes I had not heard that either and that got me worried since I have been trying to increase my water intake and drinking a lot of tap water both at home and at work. I found this from the CDC and then found information on my local water district that there is no lead in the supply or distribution system, in which case CDC says to run the cold tap for a couple minutes to flush out the water that may have been sitting in the pipes for more than 6 hours (so you don't have to do this every time) in case our plumbing contains lead. And the probability of your plumbing containing lead is highest if your house was built between 1982 and 1986, which neither my house nor my office building were.

Also, re: tap water... I asked my ENT about this once and he kind of sighed and said that very few people have holes that would actually allow brain-eaters in there and that using tap water was fine.
