Holy crap kaydee0402! I can't believe we are due the same day and you are so effaced! Thinking good thoughts for you getting a baby this weekend!
Winnifred, I 1000% agree with you. I can't stop checking in to see what's up with our ladies giving birth today, but you guys probably won't hear from me until after she is born. But to be fair no one IRL (except my parents probably) will know either while I'm laboring. We did that last time and it was nice not to have people constantly texting. Especially since I was in labor for two days!
I started taking EPO three times a day at 35 weeks. My DH is scheduled to be gone the day of our c-section so we're trying to get this show in the road so he doesn't miss the birth. My midwife is 100% behind this and even suggested things we can do so the baby is hopefully born before he has to leave again.
Whoa kaydee0402! I hope you get your baby this weekend!
So I had an OB appt today and the little lady is still breech at nearly 37 weeks. Oy. I now have a C scheduled for Dec. 19th. I'm going to continue to do the spinning babies and yoga stuff (because it's free!) but I am throwing in the towel on the expensive chiro. My OB is not optimistic that she will flip since she has been breech the entire time. So I will be looking up more info on scheduled C births! Any C moms here with advice?
I also gained over 5 pounds in water weight in the past week. My legs look they belong to a different person. BP is still normal but OB is concerned about pre-E and I had to have about 7 vials of blood taken for testing today.
I think that all signs point to us being back home post-baby in time for the holidays, which is a silver lining, I guess!
C-section recovery takes a long time. Make sure you and your DH have someone on hand to help you that first week. Also, keep a pillow nearby at times. I would hold it over my abdomen any time I had to sit up or worst, laugh. It helps it not burn as badly.
It's really easy for c-sections to get infected. Make sure you take it easy, don't overdue it and keep it clean.

emilie, sorry that you might be getting the CS. I don't have a ton of advice....but a few things come to mind since I just had one. Bring lots of maternity leggings or comfy pants. Also, the mesh undies were the best....steal lots of those for home. Take the pain meds and don't try to be a hero. Percocet is your friend for at least 2-3 days. Get up and walk as soon as you feel ready. I was doing laps around the floor the 2nd day and I think it really helped speed up my recovery.
And if anyone tries to make you feel like you didn't experience "real" labor, kindly tell them to fuck off.
Don't be shocked by the shape of your lower abdomen for a while. I'm still getting used to this weird skin flap thing. Hoping it goes away....eventually.
emilie +1 to what pp have said. I'm still on an iv pain killer and took a low dose pill as well right before attempting to walk. The belly band I'm wearing helps so glad to have that on. And while I can get up and walk and hold baby, the minute I sit down and realize I forgot something or something falls to the ground, that's when I need another pair of hands. Def recommend the walking around asap.
I'm hot. I was hot while pregnant, the magnesium makes you hot, and now the room is warmer than I'd care for because baby is here and his temp had fluctuated down yesterday. And if memory serves me right, when I get home I'll get the night sweats. Awesome.
Dh left to be home with DS. I should be napping. I'm tired of being here. Grrr.

I got the Tdap shot earlier today and now I feel like absolute crap. Sluggish and just generally yucky. I have never had a reaction to a vaccine before besides a sore arm. Maybe it's something else but who knows. Anyone else feel crappy after the Tdap shot?
emilie, sorry you're not feeling well - I felt the same way! It all made sense when I saw that like 1/4 people (this # is wrong I'm sure, just going off my memory) feel sick afterwards, those are pretty decent odds! It took me a couple of days and I was back to normal.
emilie it's pretty common to feel crappy after the tdap. My whole work had to get it when there was a whooping cough outbreak a few years ago and I'd say about 2/3 of us had some sort of reaction. It ranged from a sore arm to general malaise.
emilie, I don't remember specifically how I felt afterwards, but whenever DS gets a vaccine, he always spends the day napping. I imagine vaccines impact adults the same way kids so what you're feeling is probably normal.
emilie, Same here with TDAP. Felt like total crap the rest of the day, and my arm was super sore for a week. Definitely the worst shot reaction I've ever had.
