1. How old is your LO? 22 months? Almost 23.
2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? I don't count, but would guess he's somewhere between 6-8. He pops on and off a lot in the morning and before naps.
3. Does your LO STTN? If they wake, do you nurse them back to sleep or do you use another method? No, we bedshare and nurse back to sleep.
4. Do you know a lot of other extended BFers in real life? yes, I think just one that's currently nursing

Pregnant & BFing Moms: How are you doing this week? Any issues with supply, pain, aversion? Questions for other moms? going good. I definitely think my supply is pretty low. I only offer my left breast maybe once a day so that one is probably not producing much, if anything. He's still asking to nurse quite often though. I have some pain here or there, but again it's nothing terrible.

Non-BFing question of the week: What's your favorite family holiday tradition? tough one, I love all things Christmas. Making Christmas cookies and watching movies is probably my favorite. But I love hanging stockings too.

3. Does your LO STTN? If they wake, do you nurse them back to sleep or do you use another method? Sometimes he does, sometimes he doesn't. Sometimes I nurse home, but he doesn't fall asleep. Sometimes DH goes in.

4. Do you know a lot of other extended BFers in real life? Just one.

Non-BFing question of the week: What's your favorite family holiday tradition? Christmas: I love decorating the tree while watching Christmas movies and drinking hot chocolate. Chanukah: Making latkes. I used to do it with my dad, now I do it with my older son.

3. Does your LO STTN? If they wake, do you nurse them back to sleep or do you use another method? She does not STTN. We are back to 1-2 ups a night from like two weeks of 4-6, thank the Lloyd. We nurse back to sleep unless it's a bad night and I send DH in.
4. Do you know a lot of other extended BFers in real life? No!! My mom is pressuring me to stop too,so I am very thankful for this community.

He usually sttn nut if he doesn't and it's my night with the monitor I'll nurse him down because it's easiest. Or if he's sick or hasn't nursed/eaten well during the day I'll nurse him even if know he could put himself back down. On nights I don't have the monitor I take a sleeping pill and don't feel comfortable nursing him while on it (even after the 2 hour most concentrated mark) so H figures it out.
4. Do you know a lot of other extended BFers in real life?just my step mom who bf my siblings well into toddler hood so it's nice to talk to her but no one who has done it recently.

Non-BFing question of the week: What's your favorite family holiday tradition? Reading The Santa Claus Book (have read it every year since I was little)and baking treats for the neighbors. I also love watching the Christmas movies with my family and watch home alone every Christmas eve.

sunfrogger88 welcome! I'm sorry your mom is pressuring you to stop. My mom did that for a bit too. Which is especially weird because she breastfed till a year bit I guess after that she thinks is weird. how are you feeling about extended bf? Do you have a LLL near you that you could meet other extended bf moms?

3. Does your LO STTN? If they wake, do you nurse them back to sleep or do you use another method? DS2 starts the night in his crib, and then wakes sometime between 3 and 6 AM crying and wanting me and only me, and DH takes him into our bed. For a while he was content to press desperately up against me and suck his thumb vigorously, and he would fall back to sleep, but lately he's really been wanting to nurse. I hope we're at least slowly headed toward night-weaning.
4. Do you know a lot of other extended BFers in real life? Not really. My sisters-in-law nursed their kids to 2ish, but their kids are all quite a bit older. And I don't know anyone IRL that has admitted to nursing their kid as long as I nursed DS1- yeesh.

Non-BFing question of the week: What's your favorite family holiday tradition? I always enjoyed baking Christmas cookies with my mom, and I think DS1 is finally old enough to fully participate this year. I also like the annual Christmas PJs thing- the kids are getting theirs tonight.

2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 2-3. We may be whittling down to 2 soon. He's becoming less interested in his afternoon feed.

3. Does your LO STTN? If they wake, do you nurse them back to sleep or do you use another method? He pretty much does. He usually wakes Btwn 4.30-5.30 and I nurse him. He'll sleep for another hour or two after that.

4. Do you know a lot of other extended BFers in real life? I know sunfrogger88, but we aren't local to each other.

3. Does your LO STTN? If they wake, do you nurse them back to sleep or do you use another method? - STTN!!! It's new (well other than 2mo-6mo old when he STTN but that was ages ago haha) so I'm excited. When he does wake MOTN I nurse him and put him back in his crib, asleep or not.

4. Do you know a lot of other extended BFers in real life? - not locally. A couple acquaintances through LLL.

sunfrogger88 do they have a Facebook group? My local LLL does and it helps because we can answer questions for each other between meetings but I've also seen people talk about places they'll be during the week (baby wearing groups, library activities, etc.). Maybe if you found the local group fb page you could ask if anyone wanted to meet at the library for storytime or something. I don't know if you work outside of the house but even if you do most libraries around me have a Saturday event once a month. It would be a good way to meet mom's in the same experience as you.
I'm full.of ideas because I've been trying to figure out how to make more bf mom friends so I have someone to relate to about this specific topic.

I'm full.of ideas because I've been trying to figure out how to make more bf mom friends so I have someone to relate to about this specific topic.

I do work full time and I also coach from Nov-Apr on Monday, Thursday nights and Saturday the local fb is quiet. Our local bwi chapter is a little chattier though, and I am in some other local mom groups. thanks!!

2. It's been 4-6 recently.

3. She STTN. Actually last night was the first time I've had to go in in a long time. I think she's working on her first molar. I did nurse her but she was awake when I put her back in the crib, and she went back to sleep peacefully.

4. Just my best friend. I'm always bummed that she lives a state away.

Favorite tradition: DH and I always spent Christmas Eve with just each other so we started ordering Chinese food. It's random but it stuck and it's become one of my favorite traditions. I also love cutting our own tree every year.

I'm trying to not stress about the waste at daycare because I have a stash that will get me to her birthday at least. I'm okay with her having WCM when we're apart during the day. Non-BFing question of the week: What's your favorite family holiday tradition? The visit from Santa on Christmas Eve. It was magical as a child and I love watching DS and this year DD "meet" Santa.

2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? Morning, evening, overnight. I don't let her nurse during the day on weekends even when she's with me. She's fine not nursing in the morning if I'm not around. Next up we're tackling the overnight nursing.

3. Does your LO STTN? If they wake, do you nurse them back to sleep or do you use another method? I only nurse as a last resort. She'll usually go back down easily if she wakes up for any other reason.

2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 1-3. We've successfully eliminated the morning session, always nurse at night, and on weekends she asks sometimes before/after naps.
3. Does your LO STTN? If they wake, do you nurse them back to sleep or do you use another method? She does STTN. On the rare night I have to go in her room, she just wants to cuddle.
4. Do you know a lot of other extended BFers in real life? My sister (nursed my niece until she was 6, currently nursing her 13.5 month old)

2. How many times per day does your LO nurse?1-2. We tried cold turkey on nap and it works if he's not overly tired. Otherwise he screams for boobs. Need to get this to work for bedtime too.

3. Does your LO STTN? If they wake, do you nurse them back to sleep or do you use another method? We do stories and back rubs and I let him chat. Mostly he STTN and if he doesn't he'll be up for a while no matter what

4. Do you know a lot of other extended BFers in real life? No. One friend several states away and her last kid is weaned.

I go here now!! I thought we weren't gonna make it, C was refusing for a few days last week but he's been sick and that was when his ear infection was at its worst so I think that's all that was.

1. How old is your LO? He turned 1 on 12/1 (I didn't realize this check-in started on Thursday)

2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 4-6x and usually once MOTN.

3. Does your LO STTN? If they wake, do you nurse them back to sleep or do you use another method? Once in a while he STTN or gives us long stretches, but generally he's up at least 1-2x. Usually MH handles anything the first half of the night (he will try rocking him, and will give a small bottle of BM if needed, which I don't pump to replace). I nurse back to sleep if he wakes during the second half.

4. Do you know a lot of other extended BFers in real life? No, I don't know any. None that BFd past 8 months actually. So grateful to my BMB and this board for the support!

Non-BFing question of the week: What's your favorite family holiday tradition? MH and I put up the tree and decorate on the day after Thanksgiving. Now that we have C, we will let C open one present and a book/pajamas on Christmas Eve, and I'll make us breakfast Christmas morning (orange cinnamon rolls are a must!) after we open the rest.

4 times (counting overnight) on workdays, quite a few more on weekends.

No STTN here. We did Ferber just after her birthday and she goes down great now, but it's a shock if she doesn't wake up once between 12-2, when she nurses then goes back down drowsy, and again anytime from 3:45-5:00 when I've been trying to let her work through it, usually unsuccessfully, so we end up early for the day. She's in her crib now (we were bedsharing before) so I'm getting significantly less sleep than I used to. But at least I have my evenings

Not that I can think of. I anticipate comments at MH's family's Hanukkah party.
