Also jealous, because I would love a day of kid-free (I assume that's what you meant) shopping.
Instead, I'm currently letting Elmo parent for a bit, and then taking my non-target friendly toddler to Target. Because I need to buy something for dinner tonight, and they have $25 off $100 of diapers right now.
Slept like crap last night, and Jules was up every hour or so. I think maybe teething. Super annoyed with SO right now. He slept through every wake up(fine) but is now complaining how tired he is but he'll stay up with the baby so I can rest a bit. I told him if he is too tired to let me know and I'll stay up with her. He then freaks out on me because I tell him that every time that he takes her while I nap. He fell asleep while with her twice now and she has gotten into things/eaten things she shouldn't. And he's mad at me. Seriously hate men sometimes.

You're right. Kid-free not friendly. I mean, the mall is friendly but we will have no kids with us...for the first time in 4 years!? No one has a nursing baby or is pregnant. It's going to be great!!!

It looks great! And I'm so jealous of the knobs on the back panel. I had to remove ours because BH won't stop trying to turn ours on...and we have gas.

Headed to ballet in a little bit- I'm going to run to the grocery store while she's there. Then my town is doing a Midnight Madness shopping event tonight so I'm meeting up with some friends to go around 9pm. I'm also pumped for some kid-free shopping today, jessila! Hope you girls have a great time:)
Hi! We have my mom's extended family Christmas this weekend! All my immediate family/aunts/uncles/cousins and their kids should be there again! It's a fun tradition and I'm glad we are still able to do it even after my grandparents passed away. My sister didn most of the organizing to do it in her city this time so we're all going down to hotel it for the weekend
Hi ladies! mrsmonogrammed our city has midnight madness sale tonight too! I'm going with a friend (no kids) to pick up some gifts. It should be fun!
It's just me and the receptionist in the office today because all the attorneys are gone for various reasons. I'm actually motivated to get a lot done, let's hope that feeling sticks around.
billyhorrible, Ugh, 4:38? I couldn't. My kids were up at 7:45 but that's still a little early for me so they came into bed with me and I gave each of them a phone. LO is still obsessed with the Little Einstein Lullaby video (loved it as a newborn too). So my FFFC is that I dozed in and out while both my kids had screen time. For about an hour.
Feeling completely run down and exhausted today. I told my told my team members not to worry too much if I sound loopy. H is flying home today. I hope when he gets home he is in a good mood and or so tired he wants to go to bed early.
Tonight is my company holiday party and while I am soo happy it is finally here. Planning something to this degree has me nervous as shit and I just want it to be over with already. Is it tonight at 6pm so i can have a drink??
veggiemo , I'm jealous of your 7:45. BH has never slept that late and the last time LBB slept that late he was still swaddled.
Yes...but what time do they go to bed? My kids are up really really late. LO's bed time isn't until 9. Then DS and I read books for a little bit. We try to have him in bed by 9:45 but it's usually closer to 10. Then he spends forever in his room talking to himself and getting in and out of bed asking for 500 different things. I would say most nights he's asleep by 10:45 but some nights it's closer to 11:30.
My alarm goes off at 8am. On days DS doesn't have school (like today) we don't have to be up and moving until 9.

I'm having an epic afternoon- DD (who always has to nap ON someone) is napping in her crib RIGHT. NOW. And it's been an hour!!! Angels are singing. This is probably the most pathetic thing I've ever been excited for but she hasn't napped alone since she was swaddled. (Thanks grandma-__-)

This is a fair point. BH goes to bed at 7 and LBB at 8.
Although nights they stay up late for events or because we're out they don't sleep in. Which is why I push for an earlier bedtime. Because that's the only guaranteed sleep they get.
dmoney I hope your party goes off without a hitch! Enjoy your drink!
budders ugh that's not a good situation at school on a Friday. You're right though today was very Monday.
I had a not great start to my day, but really all first world problems. My starbucks app isn't working and stole money from me. How the f am I going to get my stars if I can't use my mobile order? This caused me to be running late for my train, so my bil had to get my ticket for me. Ugh ( see it sounds stupid written out).
billyhorrible , my BFF's 3yo goes to bed between 7-8. She will text me that her daughter is down, meanwhile we are still clearing the dinner table...
But for real, I know you like to cook a lot. How do you get home from work, cook dinner, feed it to everyone and then still have a child in bed by 7? We aren't usually eating until 6:30 or 7. Then clean up and bath and bla bla bla. Do you prep meals ahead of time? If so, when? After they are in bed?

I make dinner after the boys go to bed, so when we get home I just need to reheat it. (Unless it's something that cooks really quickly like last night's shrimp and grits).
We all get home a little before 6, LBB sets the table, and dinner is on the table by 6.
Between 6:30 and 6:45 DH gives BH a bath and gets him ready for bed while I stay at the table with LBB who is a notoriously slow eater.
Around 6:45 we trade and I head in to nurse BH and put him to bed. DH bathes LBB and gets him ready for bed. Then I go in and tuck him in and say goodnight while DH starts the dishes.
Man, most nights DH doesn't even get home until 6:30/6:45. Then shower and it's almost 7 by time he is back downstairs. I try to have dinner ready by 7:20 and we are finished eating around 7:50. Clean C up and change him into jammies and he's usually in bed by 8:30. (No bath everyday, and when it is a bath day he gets a bath late afternoon early evening before DH gets home) I feel like we eat so late compared to most of you.
If dinner isn't on the table by 5:30 in our house, DS is having an epic meltdown (especially after day care days), and there's a 50% chance H is also having a grown man version of a meltdown. So basically, we're eating when everyone's grandparents are. But, we also all get home early-ish (normally right around 5), and are early to bed/early to rise types.
Wow, home a little before 6 and dinner served shortly after? We get home and settled around 5:30. Even if it's a quick dinner it still takes us forever to prep and eat. I'm feeling like Kramer and the shower routine billyhorrible. Maybe you can FaceTime me your evening? LOL.
Our routine: Home at 5:30, everyone visits and talks about the day By 6:00 someone is cooking dinner. Hopefully we eat before 7. Bath about 7:30 while DH cleans the kitchen 8-8:30 is chasing/running/playing on the gym mat, etc. 8:45 cool down, clean up, get LO in bed. 9-10ish read books with DS 10:45 or so DS finally crashes.
