I am 12w3d and it seems like symptoms disappeared yesterday which is freaking me out even though I know this is normal. Yesterday I was actually hungry and ate real food for dinner. I think I also got a handle on my acid reflux at night which I think is what also helped me feel better. I have an OB appt tomorrow so hopefully I hear a heartbeat and my anxiety eases.
All my symptoms disappeared at the end of 12 weeks too. I still have days when they all come back full force though. I'm having a lot of cramping and stretching. I've been having RLP and growing pains this whole time they just seem more intense, I have to calm myself down and remind myself it's normal. I'm also having sex on the regular now. I keep having anxiety that I'm somehow going to harm something or do damage, especially with those wicked cramps that come after. It seems that you all have a lot more doctors appointments than we have in Canada. I won't see my OB until over 20 weeks and my next appointment is my anatomy scan.
GTKU: that is a super hard question, I love all breakfast food but I prefer to eat it at brunch time. I'm never hungry in the morning for anything more than a bowl of oatmeal and a banana

ihatepizza, thanks for helping ease my mind. In the US we typically have appts every 4 weeks up until 28 weeks, then every 2 weeks to 36 weeks, then every week until delivery. The cramps after sex are scary but everything I've seen/heard said they're okay as long as there is no bleeding.
I forgot my own QOTW: I love all the breakfast foods. I eat 2 eggs and an english muffin for breakfast and fortunately was able to keep that up through the morning sickness. Give me a breakfast buffet any time! Yum!
I am 13 weeks and officially in 2nd tri now! It is so crazy to think that we finally made it here! Anxiety has called out a lot and overall I am doing well. I have started worrying about genetic tests and the Ascan because that's our next big hurdle. But I think it is more of a normal level worry and not the extreme worry that I was feeling before. I still have moments where doubt sneaks in and I can't believe this is really happening. I am sad that I don't have another appointment until the end of December, but H was asking if we could do another elective ultrasound before then to see the baby, so we might do that because it's cheap and makes us happy/calmer.
QOTW: I love all things breakfast! For my birthday dinner I always ask for "breakfast for dinner". And it is amazing! During the last few weeks, I have lived on kids cereal because it's the only thing that sounded halfway decent and didn't make me fill up into bites. Favorite cereals right now include Froot Loops, raisin bran, and frosted mini wheats. I also love eggs Benedict and hashbrowns and bacon, but those of been too heavy to eat the last couple of months.
Hey guys! I was doing ok until I had some spotting this morning. My heart just sank. My NT scan is on Wednesday and I'm always a mess when sono time is near. I just can't shake the feeling they will tell me something is wrong. The nurse assured me brown spotting is normal and not cause for worry. The only thing I can think may have caused it was a doozy of a puke session last night. We've had zero sexy time in a while so who knows why the spotting all of a sudden. I just want to go to the bathroom about every 30 minutes to check. Trying to take it easy and hopefully Wednesday afternoon will be here soon.
QOTW: breakfast girl here too! I've actually been craving scrambled egg sandwiches. I'm so weird. My mom used to make them for me and my brother as kids. And bacon!! Duh!
We're being a little more open with people we see in person about me being pregnant now that the NT scan and blood test went well. I'm still just trying to avoid work knowing until after my year-end review, and trying to avoid a ton of people knowing until after the anatomy scan/until we know anything about possible heart defects. I've been lucky to not have too much nausea all along, but lately my back has been hurting (especially after weekends, when I pick up the kids more than I should), and I feel like gas/bloating has been getting worse. I feel like I've been able to eat healthier this pregnancy than in past ones because I have less of an aversion to salads (as long as there's no meat in them), so that's been good. Maybe that's the reason for more gas
QOTW: Add me to the list for loving almost all breakfast foods! I alternate between cereal and scrambled eggs with cheese most days. My favorite breakfast is eggs benedict with crabcakes, and tomato and avocado. Now I just get them with eggs scrambled rather than runny.
Hello! Appt last week went well. I don't have another until after the New Year. My 16 week appt falls between Christmas and New Year so the office is closed. Just taking it one day at a time. I'm feeling less pukey now, so that's good. I'm trying to really watch what I eat because I can't be packing on weight. With dd that wasn't a problem because I never felt like eating.
Had my appointment last Tuesday and got to hear the heartbeat on the doppler. We went ahead and announced on Facebook after that appointment even though I was only 10w4d because I won't have another appt til 14 weeks and DH didn't want to wait that long. Of course now I'm having a lot of pain/cramping tonight and I'm convinced this is the end and I'll have to tell people. But it's probably all the normal growing pains. I'm feeling better about things otherwise. I think my anxiety really ramps up right before appointments and then I am semi-chill most of the time otherwise now.
QOTW: I love breakfast. Bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches on toasted English muffins is one of my favorites, but really I will rarely say no to any kind of breakfast food.
Thanks teachermomtobe! It's been hanging around all night and my lower back is super achy. So weird but hopefully it's no big deal. I'm sure that anxiety is part of my worry too. I don't want to have to tell bad news. Good luck announcing today!!
huskermom, I hope the cramping is nothing to worry about and just lots of growing pains.
All is well here. I have been crazy busy and am ready for a break, but other than that I can't complain. My next appointment with my midwife is Thursday. I am already 14w4d which is absolutely crazy to me.
My favorite breakfast food pre-pregnancy is mimosas but since I am pregnant it is a toss up between chocolate chip waffles and eggs benedict.

Thanks leloyd! So far tonight has been better, but still getting spurts of cramps. Not sure what the deal is, but at least it's not a constant like last night.
Also, I'm with you on the mimosas. They are my favorite! Can't wait for that first one post-baby!

cateyes, everyone was very happy! I shared with a few people that it was a long journey to get here. One teacher gave me a hug and told me she had been thinking of me and was so happy to hear the news. I think people started to assume there was an issue since we've been married 4+ years and clearly I love kids as a teacher. It feels so good to be "out" at school!
I am feeling a little better every day. Still some aversions but some are getting better.
