Yuck. I'm seeing all of the snow on my family members fb pages and am reminded of why I moved away. So happy I don't have to deal with that! But snow days were fun as a kid!
We came home from the mountains yesterday where it was snowing hard. We don't get snow days here thank goodness. Our daycare isn't. Allowed to close because it is attached to the hospital and we can't close.
I feel you on snow. We got 18 inches a couple weeks ago for the first snow of the year. We usually warm up with a few inches, but not this year. Good luck, and stay warm!
@cheeze, I knew you were Canadian, but I either forgot or didn't realize that you were from Manitoba, too! I heard that southern Manitoba was supposed to get hit bad with snow. We're supposed to get quite a bit, too, but it hasn't started yet.

Yup. It was snowing earlier, but has since stopped. Supposed to start up again tonight, I think.
I was just looking at the forecast and it's supposed to start snowing this evening and keep snowing until Wednesday. Ugh. I'm guessing DS1 won't be going to school tomorrow.
We got our first snow yesterday. It was 3 inches. Perfect welcome to winter snow. We had a very mild November so I was kind of happy to see some white stuff. Ds1 was loving it and we had a little snow ball fight. It melted enough that roads were completely clear by this morning. I wish I could maintain my positive snow feelings until April.

This is how I always feel about the first snow of the year. I'm like "yay! Pretty!" and then I remember how I usually feel when it snows after April 1st... total buzzkill.

+1
I'm one of those people who would love for it to snow the week of Christmas and then I'm good. No need for any more. But I'm also a general cold weather scrooge because of my Reynaud's.
Blizzard here. School and daycare are closed. Some businesses are closed in town too. .stay safe amiet79!
Thanks! I hope you stay safe, too. It actually isn't too bad here. DS1 had school today. We just got back from dropping him off. We are just outside the storm. The schools not too far from here are closed and buses are not running, but in our town everything is open.
It's storming here now. Started out with freezing rain, now it's snowing and windy. It'll be interesting picking up DS1 from school. At least it isn't too far.
@cheeze, sorry you're snowed in I really dislike snow. I'm uncomfortable driving in it, so when it snows I pretty much immobilize myself, even if its not a lot of accumulation. Snow is my least favorite thing about winter. I hope you have some supplies over there.
