The snack bar is closed. I'm pretty much devastated. I need a snack. I managed to scrounge up $1.50 to get a sprite from the vending machine, but we don't have any food vending machines. I brought snacks from home, but I really wanted a chocolate chip muffin and apple juice.

DS keeps having dreams where he'll start making noises even if he doesn't wake up, but it wakes me up. I haven't had a single night of uninterrupted sleep since we got back from FLA.

Do you use a monitor? We use ours, but with the sound off. Otherwise she will make noises MOTN, or just whine for a min and not actually cry and wake up, but I can hear it through the monitor and it wakes me up. Then it take a me forever to fall back asleep. If she actually wakes up and cries, I can hear her without the monitor.

lindsay, is she pretty regularly STTN? You need all the sleep growing 2 new babies!
JoBub all my sorries about not getting your muffin and Apple juice. I remember when I would want a certain food while pregnant, it was pretty much all I could think about until I got that food. Lol
I haven't had uninterrupted sleep since second tri, which ended in August. 😴
This baby still isn't stretching his sleep at all. 3 hour stretches were good when he was smaller but he's 7 weeks today and now I expect more out of him! He took an ounce of pumped milk from DH last night so that was good. Our trial run went well so hopefully I can find some time to pump during the day and H can give a bottle for the first feeding. He's so cute though. So so stinking cute and smiley and I keep trying to capture his giggle on video because it's so primitive and hilarious.

We were busy yesterday so I didn't get to update on the Christmas ranch. It was cute. Kinda small and overpriced, but it was good if you don't want to do a ton of walking like at the festival of lights. There are lots of lights close together. We tried to get DD to sit with Santa, but that was a no go. She just wanted to wave from a distance. So now we know to look picture ready for when we take her to the liberty center Santa cause I'm positive we will end up in the picture with her. Lol
We went to the aquarium with some friends yesterday, and she was even afraid of scuba Santa. Lol poor thing.
Also vlagroupie I broke down and got a pair of jeans so I would stop wearing my maternity ones. I got these Lee skinny jeans from Kohls. They are lined with cotton material and no buttons and stretchy waist band. They come up over the mom tire too. You might want to grab some.
Apparently I'm not going to lose these lbs right now. Walking is out since it's like 40 degrees and idk when I would exercise in this house. And I eat because so hungry.
becole, the good thing about breastfeeding is you get to eat! I was way more hungry when I was BF/pumping than when I was pregnant. It was like a primal instinct, and I was legit ready to fight people over food if necessary. I lost weight during that time even though I didn't work out, but that's not true for everyone. I don't think I could have started exercising until I stopped BF or at least stopped pumping because it just took so much out of me, energywise.

I just don't have the energy to bundle myself and this baby up enough to get outside. I was doing okay walking when it was warm but it still didn't make a dent in my weight. I think I'm just eating what I'm burning but if I try to cut calories, I don't produce. I wish my metabolism worked differently. I know I could cut the high fat foods, that would probably help.

I think fat is important for breastfeeding though. Honestly, the thing that worked the best for me, which I think would be ok while BF, was low carb, high fat, high protein. Like Whole 30 or paleo. You get to eat as much as you want, and protein-dense snacks keep you feeling full. I lost a ton of weight on Whole30 without any exercise, and never (really) feeling deprived. But it's also a ton of work with meal prep. Maybe you could find ways to work it into your diet without going all-in.

You mean cutting pretzels and chips out of my diet would help me lose weight??
I struggle with lunch.
LOL. Lunch was hard for me too. I just love sandwiches. I had a chicken salad recipe I would make on the weekend and eat all week. No bread, so I would scoop it up on cucumber slices. It sounds stupid. But it was really really good. And I would make wraps with no wrap, where I just lay the lunchmeat out on parchment paper, fill it up with mayo and veggies and bacon, and then wrap it up and just peel the paper back a little at a time to eat.

I agree with this. Cutting bread and pasta makes all the difference when I'm trying to lose weight, even if I consume the same amount of calories.
Also, zoodles are surprisingly satisfying. My H and DS would have spaghetti with meat sauce, and I would have zoodles instead. My spiralizer was only like $10 on Amazon, and it's really quick and easy.
babylove518 her sleep has been crappy the last few months. 50% of the time she is crying in the MOTN and one of us gets her and usually bring her into our bed, and she falls right back to sleep.
But last night was a terror. She kept waking up, and when we brought her into bed she couldn't stop wiggling and flipping around, so H tried rocking her back to sleep. Which only worked for like 30 mins
I finally took the B6 / Unisom combo last night. While I def. feel better so far today, I also feel like I can go right back to sleep. The Unisom def. knocked me out quickly last night.
I've been tempted to try a half unisom with B6 in the morning to get me through the day, but I'm afraid it will just knock me out. Right now I've been taking it at night (a full Unisom) and it gets me through the day, but at like 7:00 every night, I feel terrible.
The daytime half unisom made me tired the first week or so of taking it, but helped the nausea enough that it was worth it. Now I don't notice tiredness when I take it during the day. But it could help that overall my exhaustion is so much better than it was in the first tri.

Maybe I'll try it tomorrow. I could bring it to work with me and take it at lunch. Tomorrow morning I have a free block, and then we're having mass, so I'm afraid I'll fall asleep at my desk or at mass if I take it in the morning! But maybe if I take it at a time when I know I'll be busy for a few hours, I'll make it through.

I'm feeling ok right now, so I'm hoping that just taking it at bedtime will be enough for me. DH made dinner last night and it was really good, but I just couldn't stomach it, I was so queasy. So I sent him to Kroger to get me the B6 & Unisom.
I also need to get a new bottle of B6 because the only one I could find at walmart when I looked was 100mg, so I don't want to take that more than once a day. DH said it's fine, you just pee out any extra vitamin B, but now I'm reading things online about seizures and blood pressure issues.
