Just dropped both kids off at MMO, I have 4 hours to clean the crap out of this house. I have a bunch of deep cleaning to do. First up the pre Christmas toy purge!
DS crawled into bed with me at some point this morning after H left and fell asleep for a bit. When DD got up (who caught her brothers stomach flu last night) she came running into our room and woke DS up. I told him I was tired because his sister is sick like he was now. His response was adorable. "DD, do you want to go downstairs with me and watch TV?" Her - "yep" "Ok. Mom we will go downstairs and watch TV. You can stay in your room and sleep. Can you make me breakfast?"
Morning ladies. My parents get into town next week and I am so ridiculously excited. I haven't seen them since September, and they are so helpful! My mom's going to help me power through my pre baby to-do list.
We bought new dining chairs from Cost Plus World Market during the Cyber Week sale and I just got an email that it scored me $120 in rewards, woot woot! I love that place!

Took some personal time this morning to go on a daycare tour at our local Y. Apparently, they expect the two year olds to come in potty trained. Wut? And, the Director looked exactly like Elvira.
M randomly threw up some milk today. But seems fine otherwise and hasn't thrown up since. I hope the milk wasn't spoiled. This is the first time he's thrown up. (I know we've been lucky).

My Mom came a month or 2 before both babies and I loved it! I hope yall get through your list and have a great visit
My MIL has strep throat. I feel bad, because she obviously caught it from DS but it's just so weird because none of the rest of us got it. At least not yet. And she was only with him one day, the day AFTER he started his antibiotics. So I'm just scratching my head a little. Anyway, last I checked she was feeling like crap, so I might need to find coverage for LO's care tomorrow. Ugh, tis the season.
So we are donating a stocking stuffer to a child in need. I chose an 11 year old and her item of choice was a $10 Target gift card. H just texted me that he picked up the gift card but he got $20.00. I'm not sure this is a good idea? There is a limit set for a reason right? Like are other kids gonna get their $10 cards and feel cheated? I'm not sure he did the right thing here...

What is the setting that they are receiving the gifts? Their home, a party, church, etc?

It's for families at a homeless shelter. DS's school is handling it, we are giving his school the gifts, unwrapped.

It's so fucking cold in our house even with the heat on, I hate our house in the winter. Normally it's not that big of a deal, but since I am home most of the day now it really sucks.
On the plus side, Caspar Babypants (do people outside Seattle know who that is?) is doing a free show today that we are headed to.

are all of the kids getting the same stocking stuffers? Is every parent donating the same thing? If not, I don't think it matters. A child in this situation likely isn't going to care, they are going to be happy to get anything. It sounds like your H just wanted to give a little more which is very generous.
The kids range from infants to pre-teens. Like I could have picked a 9 month old who asked for puffs and a teething toy. There was a 7 year old who asked for "shopkins". So I think you're right and it should be fine. And yeah, that's exactly what my H was doing which I agree is very generous. Of course I want the child to have $20 instead of $10. But we were given instructions, which we didn't follow and I just want to make sure there isn't anything negative that can come out of it.
veggiemo I'm terrible at sticking to the max amounts on gift giving things. I'm sure she will be stoked and I'd bet you aren't the only ones who bought more for "their" child.
