Happy Saturday and V-Day! I've been having some minor contractions/cramping all morning. I'm really hoping that things might get started. But little miss is still wiggling around in there. I don't remember if they tend to chill out a bit before or not. We shall see. TMI but also seeing a bit of my MP. On Thursday i was 3 cm, 70% and very soft. Seems promising!! DS is spending the night at grandma's tonight which is the first time in like a year... I've informed DH that we will have some sexy time to hopefully encourage things along! It's been awhile so we'll see how that goes. Ha! Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Hey ladies. Another lazy day at home snuggling baby Dom and preparing for another blizzard. I'm starting to go stir crazy, and am SO over this weather. My mom is planning on coming in on Monday for a week because DH is going back to work on Tuesday. Boston public transportation is a mess and I'm worries she won't be able to get to me- kinda terrified at the idea of being home alone with this babe. How do you pump every 3 hours when there's a baby that you have to take care of? Gah- so annoying!
Valentine's day is going well! DH bought me these beautiful diamond studs as a combo Valentine's day/"push" present. Our first Christmas together, we were 20 years old, in college, and SUPER broke. But he bought me these teeny tiny diamond studs- like they literally couldn't have been more than 1/16 of a ct each. I ADORED them. I wore them for years. Then a year ago, DH and I were home for a few days recovering from my miscarriage. Of course, one of my earrings went down the drain in the shower, and we couldn't get it back. We were already so devastated and after all that heartbreak, it felt like a really big deal. So giving birth to this boy and getting (big time upgraded) new earrings feels kinda like coming full circle in some way. I know that's a serious story about some dumb earrings, but they mean so much to me. It's the best gift he's ever given me.
Being held hostage waiting for the doc to come by so I can be discharged. But the nurse felt really bad so she got us a bag of extra goodies to take home! Five four packs of pre mixed bottles, two packs of diapers, and two packs of wipes. Pretty happy about that!

Happy Valentine's day ladies and babies!
I'm working today boo, but my mom and DH each sent me flowers! DH told me he ordered his a month ago and then realized he should have gone for chocolate, I'm sure there will be chocolate when I get home. Yay! Work is going super slow but 2 more days of this and then maternity leave begins so I can get ready for my little guy to come on Friday.
I slept like crap last night so hopefully tonight will be better.
With a blizzard approaching I braved the grocery store to get a steak to cook tonight for my husband and bought two very delicious looking and expensive cupcakes. Got all the way home and the cupcakes were not in any of the bags!!!! Ughhhhh. The store said they have them waiting for me at the device desk but I already changed into yoga pants and flannel shirt and really don't want to pack up charlotte to go out again wahhhh. The place was such a zoo. That's my whine for the day!

Boo! Can your H pick them up? I hate when I leave things at the store
My inlaws are coming today and staying over for two nights....ugh. I'm dreading it. I was hoping that with them being about 1.5 hours away they wouldn't be actually staying over night at all at our house, or it would be just my MIL. To make things worse, they are bringing their dog. This maybe a one time event. I've been pretty cranky the past few days, and very weepy yesterday, so I'm hoping I can hold it together and not just snap at some dump comment from my FIL. He gets on my nerves, and usually I can hold it together either at their house for a few days because I'm not in my own zone anyway, or just for a day at ours. Its also supposed to blizzard again tonight/tomorrow so I might not even be able to get out of the house while they are here, which was the biggest benefit to having them.
We have a large chest freezer in our basement, so we don't usually keep much in the freezer attached to the fridge. I'm a little worried about stuff getting lost in a bottom freezer, but at the same time I love the fridge space that style offers. We'll go to the store and play with the floor models I guess
I keep very little in my freezer, so I like having the bottom kind.

I'm jealous of all these fabulous vday gifts and plans-- we are grilling some steaks and snuggling with Charlotte which sounds like the perfect Valentine's Day to me!
I just had my first FTM pediatrician appointment with Charlotte. I panicked this morning because she has been very congested and coughing and sneezing and then I took her temp and it was 99.1-- so immediately called the after hours pediatrician line and took her in. Per the doctor she is fine -- some congestion but her lungs are clear and her fever is gone.
I did nearly punch one of the dogs (just an expression I wouldn't ever really) but our boy dog got a hold of the aspirator -- so now I have to purchase a new one so I can suction some of the yuckiness out of Charlotte's nose and throat

Happy Valentine's Day lovelies. DH got me a Mickey Mouse charm for my Pandora bracelet with LOs birthstone (let's pray she's not late and shows up in March lol) just finished walking the entire mall for like 2 hours and picked up dinner. Now home!

It's 11 here, I'm already starving. I think I want fried rice, hopefully I can talk my coworker into it too haha. There's only two of us here so we have to agree on lunch so whoever picks it up isn't gone too long.
Soooo we're definitely getting discharged today! Just waiting on the pediatrician to get here and give the final ok for baby to be discharged. I can't wait for all the kids to meet their baby brother!

That sucks, girl. I hope you can hold it together, but if you can't no one can fault you for it. Were they invited or did they just decide to come? My MIL was very adamant about not coming to stay until after I asked her to come. Me, being the naive FTM that I am, tried to assure her that I would welcome the help immediately after returning from the hospital. She told me it wouldn't be that way at all.

We're in the same boat waiting on the pediatrician. My nurse has been mostly MIA though so I doubt I'm getting a bag of goodies. Although I did spot a bag in one of the cabinets... Is it frowned upon to take one? Lol

My nurses with DD encouraged me to take all the things! Once it's opened I guess they charge you for everything so we took everything but the shirts and extra hats. We had so many diapers hahaha

They had asked mid week, but I thought it was going to be for 1 night which seems WAY more manageable. They called DH yesterday and I'm not sure if they asked or told about the 2 nights. IN anycase he was like, yeah whatever. Bad DH. To be fair, I actually have never told him that his parents stress me out (except for yesterday mid weepy meltdown) because I feel like its mostly petty reasons and compared to other people's ILs mine are a dream. His dad just annoys me and his parents yell at each other alot. If it was just his mom I wouldn't be freaking out, its the whole dynamic when his dad is around. He makes more work/doesn't help and my hubby gets more crabby around him too and kindof zones out. Plus the dog is also not well trained and stresses out my cat who is pretty high strung to begin with. ugh ugh ugh.

Well the bag of goodies is hidden in a cabinet, I'm definitely stealing everything else in the room haha.

Ours just asked us not to take the linens. Which actually I wish I had taken one receiving blanket, because we didn't have any. We had some on the registry, that I just bought a few days ago. I had figured that would be one of the first things someone would get, lol.
We got lots of diapers, diapers for me hemorrhoid cream, extra disposable underwear (highly recommend) and a set of pump accessories that they had me start using because he wasn't latching. Fortunately, they work with my Medea pump, so I have extras now.

I have a side by side and my sister has a bottom freezer, my two year old DD constantly raids my sister's bottom freezer to get out the " ice cake" (ice cream). If you get a bottom one consider that you'll have to lock it

Our normal goodie bag was hidden in the cabinet of the bassinet. She just filled up another one for us. Seriously though, take all the things!

That's a lot to handle with a newborn and post-partum hormones. Could they not find someone to take care of their dog? That would be a huge no-no for me. If you feel overwhelmed, you can send them home and have them come back when you are more settled. Your house, your rules.

I'm giving it a go but I'm about 85% sure the dog is getting banned. Which may have the side effect of preventing future overnights because somehow, no, they don't have dog care options.

Oh shit.....never crossed my mind. Ftm problems.
We just have a gate between the living room and kitchen, so kiddo rarely even goes in the kitchen.
Today is shitty. DD is with the sperm donor. I had flowers/chocolates/teddy bear sent over to his house for her, since I won't see her until tomorrow. I have NO idea if she got them because he's the kind of person to likely throw them away. I will lose my shit if he doesn't give them to her. I can't believe I procreated with someone who would behave like this.

Boo! Can your H pick them up? I hate when I leave things at the store
We ended up going back out as a family, Dad, baby, myself, and both dogs. It wasn't too bad, the store had calmed down a lot, and I got my cupcakes! I can't wait to eat them! Yum

The model we're thinking about getting has a lock, so if that ends up being a problem later on, it has a locking feature!
I think I'm sold on the bottom freezer style. Thanks for all the input ladies!
It's the first day home for us. We got discharged late yesterday and it's been interesting, but so nice to be home. Mia has been sleeping most of the day. I'm worried about night time. DS also woke up last night too. Fun times here. We haven't planned anything at all for Valentines day. Is that terrible
Without fail, the sun starts to go down and my anxiety picks up. Idk how much longer I can go on like this. These baby blues are getting to be crippling .

I'm so sorry I would definitely call your doctor and see if they have any suggestions. My SIL gets crazy panic attacks and her doctor had her take 1/2 benedryl when she felt one coming and that helped her, if you're looking for something to help with that. We're here to listen if you need to vent or just get it all out
