Hey! XP from GKU:
R is 12 weeks today and the past week has made for a happy mama. Last Wednesday we had the appointment with the neurosurgeon to check his head. The dr says there's nothing wrong and he just needs more time for his head to round out, most likely because I was in labor for so long.
Then this morning we had his next weight check and that went well too! He's up 18oz in the 20 days since his 2 month appointment so the dr was very happy. I'm so glad he didn't drop more on the % charts!
We're sleeping ok at night and he's a generally happy baby.I was supposed to go back to work last Thursday but was able to push it off until January 3! Excited to be home with him through the Holidays.

DS2 is 11 days old today. Sleep during the day is fantastic, sleep at night is not so fantastic, but we're surviving. I'm enjoying all the baby snuggles though!
Congratulations, littlelion! He's so cute! danib - I love your little serious boy. He is a doll. Hopefully he will start sleeping better soon. jubilantsquirrel - Your little guys is adorable. I want to squeeze his cheeks.
DS2 is 11 weeks old as of yesterday. He is a happy boy and very social, smiling and "talking" all the time. He loves to be in the action and will be super psyched when he can sit up.
He was diagnosed with right torticollis and left side plagiocephaly (flat head) at his 2 month well visit last week, likely due to sleeping in a Rock N Play "sleeper," which babies apparently aren't really supposed to sleep all night it because it restricts head movement and can cause deformities. Great, right? (We immediately stopped using the RnP and he's now in his crib.) We've been doing stretches and trying to keep him off his head as much as possible, especially the left side. We have EI coming in early January to evaluate him and see if he qualifies for services. If so, a physical therapist will come to our house to work with him, which would make me feel better than just doing the one stretch that the doctor told us to do. It's not really a big deal, but I don't want him to have to get a helmet because what a pain in the ass having to go get a new one every week or every other week.
Anyway, here's my little bub. I took this on Tuesday morning as DH was getting ready to bring him to my parents' house before we went to work. (I've been back to work since 11/21 and it seriously sucks.)
R is 13 weeks today. He's smiling a ton and has even giggled a few times. He's trying super hard to roll over. I think we'll get there by Christmas. He's started sleeping 5-6 hours at a time at night. Thank you god! Hope everyone is having a good holiday season!
G will be 8 weeks old tomorrow! He had his 6 week appointment last week and is 10.5 pounds. He has a small head, though, so hats fall over his eyes. He is starting to give us 4 hour stretches at night. N is a great big brother; he is always checking on G and giving him kisses. I love it. In other news, I became an aunty again this morning! My sister had another little boy, and I can't wait to see him at Christmas. I'm so glad G will have a cousin close in age like N does.
Here is G from Tuesday, and both boys from the weekend.
I keep forgetting to check in here. Such cuties we all have!
My (not so) little IJ will be 8 weeks old tomorrow already. We've been struggling with pretty severe reflux, but after 2 weeks on Zantac and then being switched to Prilosec we're finally seeing more of a happy, content little boy. He's stingy with smiles and seems to be a lot more reserved than his big brother was. He loves to look at lights and is starting to sleep better at night, especially now that his pain seems to be under control. We're getting at least one 4-5 hour stretch. He has his 2 month check up next Wednesday and I'm interested to see how I he is. He seems so much bigger than my oldest was at this age.
Otherwise I'm cleared to start picking up shifts at work after tomorrow and I'm looking forward to getting out and having some adult interaction now and then.
