I'm lucky that I married into a good family. I love my in laws. But my MIL and her sisters are exhausting when they're all together. I'm not sure how many times I had to tell someone he didn't need a blanket today. I know they mean well but really, relax.

I noticed my in-laws always wrap O in blankets too. Like constantly. Made me feel like I was freezing my baby or something.

Yup. So annoying.
Dude is a little furnace and was curled up in my arms at my ILs 70 degree house..."doesn't he need a blanket?" Yea, only if you want to overheat him!

My MIL does this too. She babysat for us for a couple of hours on Friday night while DH and I went to y work Christmas party. Came home, DD had a fleece sleeper with socks on underneath, her sleep sack on top and then a blanket. Uhh we dont live in the arctic. It's cold here, but not that cold and the thermostat is up higher than it normally is in the winter for the baby.
Anybody's LO's sleep getting worse instead of better? She used to wake up twice, ones after 4 hours and once after another 2.5-3. Now she still wakes up at the 4 hour mark, but is restless the rest of the night, up at least every hour. I'm having awful flashbacks to the first 18 months of DD1's life. Apparently I grow crappy sleepers.
I'm going to jump in. I like the first better here too, but I like sharing pictures more pn FB since it's easier. I need to come up with a way to make it easier here.
The folding mechanism on K's stroller broke. It seems like just bad luck dive a Google search doesn't show it to be a common issue. We haven't used it enough for it to be wear and tear. A bolt cane lose and part of it just snapped. I contacted evenflo and after I sent them a picture of the part they decided to just send me an all new upgraded travel system so that's exciting. I like when companies have good customer service.
Download tapatalk. Makes sharing pictures a cinch from your phone.
I think we finally figure out where we are sending the baby for daycare! But they don't have an opening until July. And we don't have care lined up for the 3 year old from June-Sept. figuring this out will be fun.

That's excellent customer service!! Always nice to not have to fight them.

The past week or so, yes. R had gotten to 6-7 hours for his long stretch and has been back to 4 the past week. Not fun. Last night was 5 1/2 at least so hopefully we're headed back in the right direction.

Hopefully he gets back to the longer stretches!
I just looked through DD1's baby book. At this point she was getting 6 hour stretches, only one wakeup. Then her sleep went to hell around 3.5 months. I'm scared now since we're starting off worse this time!

Fingers crossed the same thing doesn't happen with this LO!
He slept about 7 hours for his big stretch tonight. He actually took a couple decent naps during the day so I'm assuming that helped. Too bad the Patriots were the Monday night game so I had only sleeping for about 4.5 hours when he woke up. At least the Pats won!
After going backwards the past 2 nights to no sleep and wanting to be held, C slept from 9-4:15! After prepping all day for my holiday party next weekend the sleep was much appreciated. I'm hoping this also means he is kicking his cold.

I'll jump in here! I also don't care for the format on FB, but definitely enjoy the privacy and one stop shop feel on FB. Wish there was a way to fix the layout there
This might get a little long. Four years ago my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. They thought it was stage 4 because there were spots on her liver, but 8 biopsies came back negative for cancer so it was assumed to be stage 3.
ETA: She went through chemo and radiation and was declared in remission.
My sister texted today that she was worried about my Mom, she hasn't been feeling well and looked really yellow today. (She's local to my Mom, I'm 6 hours away). I called my Mom and she admitted that she hasn't been feeling well, went to the doctor Tuesday and is having tests done this afternoon. She said her doctor Tuesday thoguht she was fine but I'm not buying it. So I'm crying all morning assuming the worst and that the cancer has returned. Any prayers, positive vibes, anything are appreciated while I wait for news!
Unfortunately we didn't get good news. She has spots on her liver and bones, so it's spread. She needs to meet with her oncologist before know more about treatment, etc. However once it's spread it can't be cured. So I'm struggling a bit but I have a good support system.
Trying to stay positive today and not go crazy with worry about my Mom. Thanks again for all the kind words yesterday. She's being admitted to the hospital tomorrow to start some tests and get a treatment plan.
I'm doing ok thank you. This is my good week lol, next week I go back for my last treatment (yay!) But that means I'm going to be feeling really awful between Christmas and new years.

Congrats on being at your last treatment! Sorry to hear your bad week has lined up between the Holidays, but I'm glad you're doing well!!
