Hey crimpgirl - hoping everything continues to go well and that dr isn't concerned about the size. Seems like everything else is good so maybe baby is just going to be an adorable little nugget while he catches up to you guys! Enjoy your leave, sooo jealous!!
The snow just keeps coming down here, I think expecting the majority tomorrow, on my due date. At this point I'm actually hoping baby stays inside for a few more days.
We need to go run an errand this morning and then we have dh's work holiday party this afternoon.
Since tomorrow's supposed to be so bad, I'm not planning on leaving the house at all!!
And Monday I have my nst and ultrasound. Looking forward to seeing my girl!!
I made it to Billy Joel last night! The doctor was iffy but I felt fine all day, and I'm so glad we went. Now that that's over, baby can come at any time. I have my work holiday party tonight, but I'm okay with missing that for a baby.

My book club is meeting tonight for our Christmas party. Taking baby Jane along as last meeting they each got her a book. We have thank you cards to pass out and this will be her first party. We're wearing Christmas sweaters and I'm going to put her in the "my first Christmas" onesie my cousin made her. We're going to have to redo the Christmas cards, they turned out too dark, but her birth announcements were perfect. I think I'm just going to send them all together.

crimpgirl....we got a lot of washcloths too! Unfortunately many of the ones I got were tiny little things. I mainly use them for wiping formula off of baby faces.
I use the good wash cloths for wiping butts at bath time. I'll have to find the link to the ones I love...

Winnifred, it's freezing here today and they are calling for snow on Sunday night/Monday. I am so not ready for "real" winter yet. I feel like after the holidays I am going to be a miserable bitch for January/February.
lola- I saw BJ in concert once and he was amazing!

Dh went to work. Sigh. I want to go out today. Dh doesn't understand why I want to take the kids out in this cold weather. We haven't left the house since Monday morning.
I'd like to go to toysrus for some christmas shopping. Buy all the kids a little something and have that done with.
Winnifred I think I'm the only one who thinks it would be fun to have a baby in a snowstorm. I'm pretty close to the hospital though.
I mean, as long as we get the dog to the boarder and get ourselves to the hospital, it's probably not a big deal! However, we've been keeping baby's name a secret and do not want to have to tell our families over the phone, that would be a bummer!! We'll see!

Hey ladies. Went to ny women's christmas brunch. Then picked up my needed items for Christmas baskets for the neighbors. It flurried last night and today is pretty blue sky. We are waiting for the snow on its way tomorrow. It is pretty cold here and only going to get colder. I am going to probably just clean the house and figure put what to make tomorrow for dinner while it snows.
I think we will take DD out in the snow tomorrow for some sledding. I am pretty much done with Christmas shopping. Just have my parents. Christmas cards are out.
Winnifred so you guys are already getting it I see! They are calling for 9inches down here..how.much up there.
crimpgirl small babies are not a bad thing! I am not as tall as you and j had to pass a 8lb baby with a huge head..it was brutal. I am praying for lil man..not big man. Haha. Lol on the wash clothes! I mean you can just throw things away I guess. I hope his size is not an issue health wise. I can't believe we are at 38w!
requiressnacks yeah for burping and spit up. Did your Lil man get you yet..Lil shower? I am kind of looking forward to my first encounter..I know weirdo.

WineNChocolate....I've had all the bodily fluids on me. Good times. I think the worst is when DD pooped on me while I was changing her diaper. 😖😖
You sound less stressed than yesterday. Hope you enjoy the rest of your day. 😊
+1 I let ds watch tv all morning long. And I googled how much sleep nb need since mine was up most of the night.
I am loosely trying out the EASY schedule for the twins. Daytime is awesome.....nighttime is a fucking disaster. Hugs for commiseration.
And you must be insane for WANTING to go to Toys R us today. 😉
Fine maybe I'll just do online shopping. Fx free shipping.
At 5 am I resorted to sitting on the recliner with baby on my chest. Only way I got some sleep but I'm afraid he'll roll off me or something. I'll look up EASY.

Random thought of the day to share - breastfeeding has been making me feel crazy weak (just like with DD1, so I knew what to expect this time). With DD1 I lived on carnation instant breakfast shakes but this time I felt like I needed something healthier. Target sells "olly" brand kids protein shake mix, with all healthy proteins - chia, flax, etc. I mixed it with milk and PB powder. Seriously felt so much better in less then an hour- my go to now! Wanted to share for FTMs who (like me 2 years ago) feel weak/dizzy from breastfeeding.

my husband played in the local tuba Christmas and we saw this Santa come by so I went in line to take Jane's picture. He's the best looking Santa I've ever seen. :-)

Thank you so much! I was wondering why I seen to have no energy. My pain is almost all gone, but breast feeding makes so much sense. I've been having trouble staying hydrated. I've just got to. It's no fun feeling cruddy.
WineNChocolate - oh man, feels like we're getting a million inches!! Lol. It hasn't stopped all day. Enjoy being snowed in and getting out for some sledding!
crimpgirl, those 60 wash cloths will come in handy! Those things get lost so easily -- the washing machine/dryer eats them like socks. They're also great for little hands and faces when they get older and start eating solids. You'll be surprised at how many you can go through in a day.
W, you're much more brave than I am. I don't like the mall when it's not close to Christmas -- no way would I go near it anytime after Thanksgiving!
We're having a quiet weekend at home. DD had a sleepover last night. Tonight we're watching How The Grinch Stole Christmas and having our annual Grinch inspired dinner of Roast Beast, Hoo Hash, and Hoo pudding. Tomorrow we're doing nothing except snuggling the baby and watching it snow.

Good morning! Today is cookie swap day! I can't wait to see my friends and get a break from MH. (Although, he's on night shift this upcoming week so I'm sure I'll be bitching that I wish I had him around more)
Last night I stuck to the feeding schedule and it worked!
I baked 5 dozen peanut butter blossoms for swapping. The funny thing about this year, is that I'm not working so I don't have coworkers to share my cookies with. WTH am I going to do with 5 dozen Christmas cookies?!
I've started a journal to give to our daughter one day, and I wrote to her last night about how much it was snowing and hoping she was planning on staying snuggled in for now. Im hoping she's already got the message!
Also, yes to cookies and holiday treats - planning on making some yummies today, including a casserole that's just terrible for us. Comfort food is important.
