My dog has reached a new level of spoiled where he walks up to you, starts scratching his ear then just kind of looks sadly at you until you take over the scratching for him. It's really cute but he's going to be in for a world of hurt when the baby comes. Fingers crossed they get along
I'm in this boat too. My dog will still bite H and I on occasion. I will probably kill him if he bites my daughter. I have a feeling he will be fine but still.

I need to get up and shower and run to the store to pick up my prescription vitamin. I might pop over to target to grab some new sheets for my guest room.
ladytiffany24 - Pregnancy is the perfect excuse to ignore or avoid the drama. Just say it's stressing you out and stress is bad for baby and walk away. People might think you are crazy, but who cares?
ugaqueencity - Our dog will come up to you and shove her head under your hand. Or if your hand is low or on something, she'll paw at it and pull it with her paw under her chin. All for the petting.

That would definitely stress me out, ours just gets whiney when he's not getting attention. I found a doggy daycare I really like so he can go play and get some energy out a couple times a week so I'm hoping that helps

So I stayed home from work today, because I feel a cold coming on. I was just drinking some hot tea and all of a sudden felt the urge to vomit. Luckily tea is all I have had this morning. Not pleasant.
Up until now I've been only slightly nauseous and no puking. I jinxed myself.

My dog is also super spoiled. And needs attention 24/7. He's gonna freak when the baby comes.

Thanks to Kenny Chesney and Country Christmas on SiriusXM, all I can think about is planning a family vacay over Christmas next year. I'd love to rent a house somewhere in the Florida keys or in Mexico for the week between Christmas and New Year's for my dad's side of the family (dad & stepmom, brother & SIL, other brother, H, me, baby).
Is it crazy to consider taking a 5 month old baby on a vacation??
I'm a planner. H and I are really the only ones in the family with much disposable income to speak of, but if we plan ahead enough, we could probably cover the cost of the rental house for the whole family and then they could plan ahead for flights and spending money, etc.
akraus2015 - I don't think planning a holiday trip with a baby is crazy. Renting a house would be one of the easiest scenaros. You'll be able to have whatever supplies you need on-hand, no moving around, you can escape to the house if baby needs a break, etc.
I'm also a big planner and the one who pushes my family to plan ahead. My H's schedule is difficult right now and my sisters need time to save up for anything big. We actually headed off discussions about a big trip next summer and everyone is now more than happy to come help with the baby instead!

I'm flying to a wedding with a 6 week-ish old baby, I think 5 months is totally doable!
I have a friend who is taking their then 3month old to New Zealand in January.

So I don't think it's crazy to take the baby on vacation but I do think it's insane to travel over Christmas. It's such a rip off.

I know it's so expensive, but I totally love the idea of a tropical Christmas. I spent a Christmas in Turks and Caicos one year and it was seriously one of the most fun vacations I've ever been on. Winter is a hard time for me...I have terrible SAD. It's something to look forward to and breaks up the monotony of those dark and cold days.
