Thanks for the tag DoesItComeInPink! How is your LO? I have great news. We're fully on dairy! No restrictions at all! A year ago I had this 6 week old who was starting to fall in her growth chart & covered in eczema and now I have a toddler who eats everything in front of her!
The catch: she has eczema that comes & goes. I just think it's something we have to deal with. I avoid using hydrocortisone as much as I can. Keeping her moisturized is key. But I can't really pin point what she's reacting to. It may not be food. So for now, I guess we've graduated. DD still nurses twice a day (overnight & 1st thing in the AM). I wish you & your little ones the best & hope they all grow out of this.
We are still doing the no corn, dairy, and eggs over here. I recently tried a bit of corn to see if the reaction was still there and it was. I am ok with it though. Everyone else seems to think it's awful not to eat those things though.
We had a holiday dinner catered in at work and I passed on eating and everyone was apologizing to me saying they were upset I couldn't have any. I have to keep repeating that I am fine. I still eat most of the foods Iove.
MIL visited again a couple weeks ago and still refuses to accept my avoidance of the foods and has started to really disapprove of me BFing DS2 for this long. He isn't even 5 months old!

DoesItComeInPink it is whole corn we are avoiding. MIL doesn't visit often and hopefully I won't have to see her until the spring. Then she will judge me for still BFing.
I am sorry she is being so picky about her milk. DS1 just started right onto coconut milk but I know some babies are very particular. It's good she likes solids so much! I hope you can quit BFing soon!
A lot of good to report here! DD is 10 mo now. I am still BF but have been able to start eating dairy, soy, and eggs again, just within the last month. Still avoiding all nuts as we did confirm peanut allergy through blood testing. Will follow up at 12 mo with allergist on that one. DD has done fine with baked in eggs, but she did have a skin reaction to egg that she got on her face when feeding them to herself. The only lingering symptom of concern is some congestion. I think it's teething related, but am watching closely to make sure it disappears when this tooth comes through. Biggest thing for us is how much her reflux has improved. The turning point was when we stopped giving her baby food purees. She just eats little pieces of real food now. And she has gained 3-4 lbs in about two months which is amazing!!
So DD's Pedi thinks she has a mild milk protein intolerance. I've done elimination and re-introduction twice now and both times when I introduced it she had stomach pain, gas problems, mucusy poop, went from sleeping pretty well to not being able to sleep because of the stomach pain, plus eating pretty much continuously.
Now she's 4 months old so we will be introducing food soonish. Aside from not giving her milk products, is there anything else I should be thinking about? Pedi hasn't been that helpful so far, but I will message her and ask her too.

T has the same intolerance. He's 6mo and I am still avoiding milk/soy. I tried to reintroduce last week but no go. I'll try again at 8 months. We started solids-- and will just avoid soy/milk for now. Pedi told us to go for everything else and just keep Benadryl on hand.
pttomato, I would avoid trying to reintroduce dairy until 6 mo minimum, and I might wait a little longer to see how she does on baby food in case issues pop up (not that it sounds like any will).
Margs is a year now! Still removing things from our diet, womp womp, but is pretty stable and still on nexium 2x a day. Still nursing/pumping. We bring her to CHOP for the special allergy clinic at the end of January so the plan is to stay the course until then. We haven't tried any milk alternatives yet.
So happy for so much good news! @ali7p , @becominggold ,
DoesItComeInPink , Glad to hear she is really starting to eat! FX you find a milk alternative she'll take.
pttomato glad you asked that question. I came here to lurk and see if I could get any insight on when I introduce solids. Plus when to start try again. All your LO issues with dairy my DS experiences too. We follow up with dr next week and I planned to also ask him. I'll let you know if he has an insight.

How are you doing staying on track with what you can/can't eat?
I am doing ok. We pretty much don't eat out. I've bought a cook book and scour the internet a lot. I can do most things that are considered paleo as long as they aren't beef or eggs and a few veggies, so I mostly look to those for inspiration. We've been doing more things like roasting a chicken and some potatoes and carrots, one of Margs's favorite things is diced, roasted sweet potatoes with chili powder spiced ground turkey. So we have our go to dishes and try and find something new every couple of weeks. Thanks for asking I've been experimenting more with baking and found a few hits and a few misses.

We're still chugging along. Meeting with a new allergist in the new year. Otherwise, not much new to report. Still hoping DS outgrows some of these allergies. In the meantime, we've been introducing new foods left and right, mainly beans and fish. And we've officially hit toddlerhood so he now refuses most veggies.
