Pregnant with multiples check-in! How are you doing?!
Appointments this week:
GTKY: Does anyone celebrate Hanukkah or a holiday other than Christmas? Do any of you have any shopping left to do? And also- which type of person are you...do you have cookies and goodies ready to go for all the neighbors/mail person/hair dresser/etc or is your family lucky you got them a card and threw something together in time?
Week/Team/Fruit: 30w3d, team purple, cantaloupes. Eight weeks or less until delivery.
Appointments this week: OB check up on Thursday. No biggie. Repeat a/s on 1/4 because apparently that's my MFM's policy.
Symptoms: Tired, sore back, sore hamstrings, sore belly, insomnia, tired. The cashier at Walmart commented that I look tired.
Rants/Raves/Questions: MH trying to be helpful and give me time to rest, but he's crabby when he does house chores because he's tired and sore too. He's still rehabbing from his knee surgeries. I leave some things for him that I know will just make me hurt to the point that I need to lay down, but I'm trying to do as much as I can still without causing myself problems.

Only Christmas at our house, and generally for my family it's been the secular version of Christmas. I have done no shopping. I first started thinking about it last night, as in making a list of people I should shop for. Last question: none of the above. Hadn't even thought about it.

Week/Team/Fruit: 18 wks 1 day, team blue trips Appt: none this week, then 2 next week (OB & MFM). I'll also have an echocardiogram done on the boys in about 2 weeks to make sure their hearts are good. Symptoms: the nausea has let up a bit. Heartburn is what has been really hitting me. Even waking me up at night. Of course my Tums are packed up in some box so I may just go out and buy some more. Rants/Raves/Questions: moving sucks, particularly when you can't do much of anything. DH packed but isn't super organized so we have no idea where anything is. What's most frustrating is 1. I can't do anything 2. He keeps asking me where things are which I have zero clue since I was not involved in the packing at all. Makes no sense, but that's a husband for you. GTKY: we celebrate xmas. DH was supposed to buy for my brother but I don't think he has. I do not have my shit together this year with all the curve balls so it's a half assed Christmas.
Symptoms: None really. General largeness. Just realized that at 21 weeks I'm as big as I was with DD1 at 32 weeks. Not cool.
GTKY: We're Christmas here. Most of my shopping was like "oh, you're renovating your house ILs? Here's some cash for that I am not the crafty cute-sy person I wish I was sometimes. The last question was brought to you by all my neighbors who keep dropping off goodies in super cute packaging with nice family cards. My cards aren't even here yet and might not make it in time for Christmas. Fail.
Oh and I thought of a question! Does anyone else find it difficult to not 'suck in' your midsection? I can't help it! Not sure what the deal is. If it's like a center of gravity thing or I just try to suck it in to get it out of my way. It's becoming tiring hahaSaveSave
@dvmmmomma the size comparison from a singleton to twin pregnancy is blowing my mind! I had to ban myself from googling. All i know is I've got a decent bump already and I'm already growing out of my smaller sized maternity clothes (although I started out heavier this pregnancy too)

Week/Team/Fruit: 12+1/tbd/passion fruit
Appointments this week: I see the MFM for the first time this week for a consult and scan to (hopefully) see if the babies are identical or fraternal. I think it's super cool that they can tell this by ultrasound now!
Symptoms: occasional nausea when I'm hungry but I try to eat pretty steadily. I've been having a lot of neck pain due to the way I'm sleeping. Thank God for the chiro
GTKY: We do Christmas here. I need to get one thing for my dad but it's a gift card for a store we don't have locally so I will pick up when we get there on Saturday. My cards all went in the mail early and I made some treats for J's daycare teachers and got them each a gift card.
Week/Team/Fruit: 29 weeks/butternut squash or pineapple/team purple
Appointments this week: OB appt on Thursday. I think for BP and weight only. no U/S until early January.
Symptoms: tired. swollen feet. lots of indigestion. oh and I had some hip pain (I was worried that it was contractions but I think it was from the severe cold.)
Rants/Raves/Questions: I can hardly put my socks on. the struggle is real.

And also- which type of person are you...do you have cookies and goodies ready to go for all the neighbors/mail person/hair dresser/etc or is your family lucky you got them a card and threw something together in time? We are done shopping, just need to wrap. I sent out christmas cards, but I did not make cookies for the neighbors this year. I'm too tired. I also banned myself from travel at this point. My tailbone can't handle sitting in the car for 2+ hours.
lindsay - I banned myself from travel and long car rides (more than an hour) at 27 weeks. but I've also been working from home 3x week since 20 weeks because of swelling in my feet and general exhaustion.
Week/Team/Fruit: 32weeks 3 days. Team Purple. Big...just big.
Appointments this week: NST today, U/S and OB appt Wednesday and repeat NST Thursday....bust week for me.
Symptoms: getting more worn out. Also feeling a lot t of vaginal pressure.
Rants/Raves/Questions: Holy crap lil girl- get off mommas bladder! Feeling like I have to go all the time!

And also- which type of person are you...do you have cookies and goodies ready to go for all the neighbors/mail person/hair dresser/etc or is your family lucky you got them a card and threw something together in time? Only Christmas Eve and Christmas Day here. Shopping is all done but 3 items coming this week and need to finish wrapping. 3 of my hopefully 4 cookies made.
Love gus! I totally feel the same way he does with that shirt right now lol
Next appt on 12/28 growth ultrasound
Pain from someone sticking something into my ribs
GTKY we just celebrate Christmas. I think the only person left is my bf's father. Depends on the year. Last year I was family photo card out, the year before cookie maker. This year, I've sent cards to those who have sent to us lol
Appointments: had my OB appt this morning. Everything is looking good so far. A/s scheduled for Jan 4
Symptoms: tired. So tired. When my OB said I shouldn't expect to work in March I thought he was being overly cautious but unless I get a burst of energy soon I won't be surprised.
I'm finding my belly gets sore when i stand too long or do too much.
GTKY: We do Christmas. I'm a get things done early type of person. We do Christmas cards for close friends, family and neighbors but that's about it. No baking and no gifts for the randoms (other than DS's daycare provider but we just give money).

Week/Team/Fruit: 25w/ B/G twins/ cauliflower
Appointments this week: none
Symptoms: Not much, just feeling large!
GTKY: We celebrate Christmas and normally I have all my shopping done before mid December however this year I'm scrambling for the last few items! I haven't baked a lot or gotten small gifts for the neighbors and UPS man like I normally do, I just don't have it in me this year, we didn't even do Christmas cards!

Appointments this week: had a regular OB appt today. They did the AFP, and heard two heartbeats.
Symptoms: Tired, but not as much as a few weeks ago - some days are great, some days are not. I try to take advantage of the great days.
Rants/Raves/Questions: Rant to myself for eating like crap today. I've had limited protein so far, and lots of carbs and sugar. Also rant to my coworker/friend who didn't believe I was pregnant and attempted to touch my stomach.
GTKY: We celebrate Christmas, and I'm better with last minute shopping. It helps me not overspend. I'm almost done, but need to inventory my husband's gifts to ensure I got him enough while I still have time to order from Amazon. We do give gifts to the mailman, my hairdresser, and my waxer.
Crisco Salad, I did a 4hr drive around 30 weeks. The train should be a little better because you can get up and walk, and hopefully it's not packed so you can stretch out. I did a 4hr Amtrak ride a few years ago. Bring a good supportive pillow or cushion to sit on- the padding on those seats is garbage.
