no drinks this year, but I'll be checking here for some yummy recipes to write down. Confession: I have two 12 packs of my newest favorite beer sitting in my basement waiting until after baby arrives. It's a seasonal beer only released in the winter. (I'll be picking up more as I see them available in the store)
I'm going to guess this sounds pukeworthy to some of you because I know egg nog is an..acquired taste. But my sister and I got the ingredients to try this this weekend.
Paralyzers are huge here and the drink of choice on my mom's side of the family so we thought it would be fun to try something different. I also think they are fairly regional-so if you want the usual recipe is vodka, kahlua, Pepsi/coke, and milk or cream. But you can substitute the vodka for anything, I love them with cherry whisky too. It's like boozy delicious ice cream floats basically.
Otherwise a good winter beer, yum! We haven't gotten any lately though. I've been on the wine train this month.
One of my BFFs used to host a yearly Christmas party and always made this or something like this. It makes the house smell so good too! I was always pregnant or breastfeeding the last few years though and I don't know if she's hosting one in January this year so I haven't had it lately haha.

I'm pretty much a red wine girl through and through, though that mulled wine looks amazing! We're traveling to other houses non-stop over Christmas though, so probably won't try making it.
We're hosting New Years this year, and I need to find something festive for that though, possibly that would also still be good sans alcohol for my pregnant BFF.
