carrots fx for you! My sister's house was battling a stomach virus as of two days ago. Not good when they left for Disney yesterday.
I'll be heading out today to do some returning/ shopping. DH is headed out this afternoon to do a little work. Nothing too exciting. Tomorrow I will hopefully, finally meet my friends twins. They're a month old already, but had a stint in the NICU so I didn't get a chance to see them in person yet.
Morning everyone. The cold C gave me is still kicking my a$$. At least sleep last night was better than the night before. Hanging out at home with C until my mom gets here around 11. She's hanging out with C for a few hours so I can attempt round 2 of bridesmaid dress shopping (hopefully easier now that the bride knows I'm pregnant and due a month after her wedding.) carrots, hope you and W are able to avoid the stomach bug!!

Back to work for me today. I got a planner for Christmas and I'm getting this week laid out in it this morning. I wanted something fun and just for ME and I think I've found it:)
Morning! H and I are both off all this week, which I'm so happy about. Currently waiting for MIL to come over - she's hanging out here with DS today so H and I can run some errands this morning and then this afternoon focus on getting shit done - commencing bathroom painting for H, and making some freezer meals for me. Should be a nice break from all the chaos of the last few days!
Also, I really hope I'm not jinxing anything here, but we're almost 48 hours without B the paci, and it's been SO much easier than I thought it would be!
carrots, I hope it's a quick and non-shared stomach bug. budders, I'm glad you're feeling mostly better.
O has been sick on and off since the beginning of November. He didn't have an ear infection when we went in last week but didn't feel good. He started eating normally again yesterday after almost a week of being absurdly picky. He's also been getting strange hives on his face and hands. I can't figure out a common source. They don't seem to bother him and go away within about 20 minutes of popping up. He didn't have any yesterday but they're back on his hands now. Wtf, kid? I'm going to call the nurses line about them because I can't figure it out. We have benadryl on hand just in case and I've been documenting them in case we go in to tell doctor because you just know they won't be there when we go in.
I'm getting my hair cut today! Then we have our fifth and final Christmas gathering!!
Tl; dr: O keeps getting weird hives that go away in 20 minutes. Getting my hair did today. So much Christmas.
Good morning! I'm back at work, ready to attack the week! Or not, I've been procrastinating since I got here. Kids are with my mom, DS has an accelerated swim class this week so that's where they are right now.
I got new bras for Christmas (from my mom) and I'm wearing one today. I'm so embarrassed to say how longs it's been since I've had new bras, but lets just say I'm feeling extra perky today.

what kind of planner did you get? You should check out the planner thread on parenting, they do a new one every month
I lurk that thread sometimes. I asked for a Moleskine weekly planner for Christmas. I'm not sure if I got it yet because some of my gifts are still en route, according to DH.

Kids are spending today with a babysitter while I take Mom to the hospital to have a port put it. Her blood tests weren't all as clear as the CT scans, so she starts 6 months of chemo next week. Yaaaay.....

J was up from 12-6 then up for the day at 7. Finally getting to lay down. Anyone else having a horrible 18 m sleep regression? Any idea of when it will end.
pghtruelove LO has been getting up the past two night for several hours and playing. Not sure if it's the regression or something else.
But she learned a new skill - climbing onto the dining room table. I almost had a heart attack when I walked in the room.
That's exactly was J is doing. It started 3 days before Christmas. I clean out all her old toys then, and I thought maybe it had something to do with that and then new toys? It just feels like it's been going on for a really long time and I'm exhausted.
@jemomma I got a Happy Planner from Michaels. If I stick with it I think I'll look into an Erin Condren for next year:)
i have the happy planner and I LOVE it!
Do you use stickers or just write in it? I want to have an all-in-one place for house bills/due dates, work schedules, appointments, and other odds and ends. I'm hoping this one will fit the bill!
I am at work today. The plan is to work today at the office, work from home tomorrow, half day at the office on Thursday, wfh on Friday, holiday on Monday and then start my leave on Tuesday. I cannot wait to just be done with work.
pghtruelove, yikes! 12-6 doesn't seem like fun! Hopefully you get some rest. Is J wide awake during that time or fussing?
Not much going on today. E is happily playing with some of his new toys at the moment while I nurse L. Hoping to bundle up the kids and take a walk later, that will be our big thrill of the day!

I'm sorry wegrowsheep. I hope this round of chemo is able to get your mom into remission. My mom is on a break from chemo for now, but will have another round in about 6-8 weeks. Hugs friend, I know what you're going through and it fucking sucks.
Also, I really hope I'm not jinxing anything here, but we're almost 48 hours without B the paci, and it's been SO much easier than I thought it would be!
What is your secret?! A didn't care about giving up the boob or the bottle, but this kid is going to be at his wedding with his paci.
DH and I are both off this week. Today we are spending time with A. Probably some outside time since it is so nice out, but tomorrow A is going to daycare so H and I can have a much needed day together.

i use stickers and washi. I feel better when my planner is pretty lol. I will try to PIP later
Yessss! I put some stickers in mine but I feel like it looks like a total newb did it (which is true lol) but I'd love to see what you have going on in yours!

Back at work, just pulled in the parking lot. Sent H a link to a place that I want him to set up a time to view, which would cut around 80 miles and a little over an hour of time off my commute to work. Hoping he calls. I would while driving, but I can't take notes while driving and my memory sucks lately.
MIL leaves tomorrow, thank goodness. She's been here over a week, and while it's nice that she has kept up on dishes and such so that I haven't had to do them, I will be glad to be able to come home and sit on the couch and not worry about waking her up.

I'm here. I have LO at home with me all week because her nanny had a last minute family emergency. Luckily she is not too cranky today, it seems like every other day she is a whiny mess.
How is your job search going beersandweirs? I know holidays can make that part of the business world move super slow:(
Yeah, other than applications I've put in and resumes I've sent, I have no prospects right now... Hoping it picks up after the new year. Thanks for asking.
I use a Vera Bradley planner (& have for years now). I do different color pens for different schools I work in and use the stickers they supply, but I could not see myself actually using other stickers or going all in on a planner like others do.
If I ever have extra money, I want an erin condren. So many of my teacher friends use them!
