Asking because I felt this urge yesterday to take all the decorations down and put the tree outside. I vacuumed the shit out of my floors. Piles of pine needles.
ASAP. Probably start tonight if I'm not at work late. If not, then definitely tomorrow.
This makes me not feel so bad. I told DS that the tree had to go outside because the snow fairies and birds need a place to live in the winter. He was cool with that reasoning.

Doing it Friday, but would have done it yesterday if I hadn't made last minute plans to meet up for lunch with an old friend who was in town. I did put away almost all of the Christmas gifts yesterday though so it was a good start.

We took our tree down yesterday as well. I'd love to keep it up a bit longer, but I was tired of the pine needle mess. If we had a fake tree it would probably stay until the new year.
We usually do ours around New Years, but most of ours came down before Christmas for our listing photos. Now everything is gone except the tree because DH needs to saw it. Do not love having a live tree.

I can't believe all you grinches taking your trees down already! I normally like keeping things up until the sixth, but I know we have a super quiet day at home on the second, so it may happen then. Plus, I figure I'll have energy after a week of vacation, as opposed to cramming it into just a normal weekend when we're normally trying to get a bunch of other stuff done.
The tree/train and stockings will come down over the next few days. All my other decorations are a winter theme instead of Christmas. Those will likely stay up until the end of Jan first part of Feb (unless DH requests they come down sooner.)
I fight to keep it up until Ephiany (Jan 6). I would totally keep it up until February if I was single.
I got a hippopotamus for Christmas (!!!!!) and I would like to keep it up always. H jokingly said I could keep it up on a high empty loft type space in our room. I wonder how mad he'd be if it really went there?
In our house it's considered bad luck to take the tree down before New Years Day so we'll be taking it down New Years days. The rest of it will start being put away once we take LO to grandmas house so it's easier to do.
