It is very unstable and requires a restart or a hard reboot several times a day. Apps don't load, safari pages keep reloading indefinitely, camera does not open (keep the black screen) and more. I was hoping the latest ios update would fix things but still bad.
I had this problem with my 5S, and there was a software issue. They had to send me a new phone. I would call Apple.
You think New Years is better then Christmas? I could sleep through New Years and not know the difference. One of the most over rated holidays.
new years is basically Christmas without the stress.
Negative, NYE has no gifts, big family dinner, special songs and movies, or decorations at least not in my house but maybe the @jemomma clan does it different Our Christmas kicks NYEs ass
Normally I'd agree, but this Christmas was not stressful at all and seeing J's face when she realized what was happening was enough to make me think Christmas is the best day ever.

We don't let Juliet watch shows we think are annoying (like Calliou, Peppa Pig, etc) if they come on we change the channel even if J is really enjoying it.
Yeah, I've never cared about nye/nyd. If our friends come over we might stay up until midnight but otherwise we'll be in bed early like any other night.
We did NYE in Savannah once & that was fun, though.
To me, New Years is an exciting night. I remember the happiness I felt as a kid at getting to stay up late, watch silly new year countdowns with my family, play games and just have fun together. There is always a ton of food, sparkling cider (I remember being so psyched at drinking this as if it was some special cocktail), party poppers and a general happy hopeful feeling. This is the kind of holiday I hope to keep going for my kids.
Yes, Christmas is fun and the look on their faces is just so amazing when they get their gifts, but for me it is a stressful holiday. Buying gifts, spending money, putting toys together, its so much fun, but a lot of stress for me personally.
We didn't stay up as kids. I do remember my parents letting us drink a tiny bit of actual champagne and watching the twilight zone marathon the next day.
I'll try that Netflix show. @jemomma DS is only semi aware of reality so I'm in your boat with midnight not being necessary. They don't really know the difference.
DS said the cutest thing today. My dad lives in California so a long airplane ride away and it's his birthday today. This morning DS went out to my car to help shovel snow and he dusted the car off and I asked him why and he said he was cleaning the car off to get it ready to drive to grandpas bday party.

I think I'll like NYE a lot more once my kid(s) are old enough to stay up and enjoy it. I have really fun memories of running around like a maniac with my parents' friends' kids when we were allowed to stay up, having snacks and "drinks." We celebrate NYE normally with friends that have kids in the same age bracket, so I can see it getting better as they get older. Right now, it's a logistical nightmare figuring out when/where/how very young kids are going to sleep, and knowing I'll be up early anyway the next morning makes it hard to enjoy staying up late and drinking more than a couple.
Christmas was stressful, but so fun. It's worth all the work that goes into it. I also think Thanksgiving is a close second for me holiday-wise, it's almost like our Christmas, just without presents.
So not a NYE fan, totally overrated in my opinion. As a kid it was kind of fun but nowhere near as big of a deal as Christmas. As young adult I found there was a ton of pressure to do something interesting or be a great party when I would have rather hung at home. Now LO is too little to get it. Maybe once he's older.
I guess also for me as a teacher the new year really starts in September so I never feel the whole new start thing.
