Yesterday the maid was here and the inlaws gathered their valuables to take to the basement playroom cause, you know, she wants to rob us. Today, FIL just walked to the mailbox to see if the letter he put in last night is still there cause, you know, people want to come rob us of our unsent mail. Smh.
Sounds like my inlaws. My MIL would never let a mall jewelry store clean my engagement ring. She said they would swap out the diamond while I was waiting.
becole I would do maxi skirts and sundresses for yourself in FL. Easy and forgiving.
And I have a car seat cover with a carrying strap. You're welcome to it, but if your carseat is as heavy as ours, I recommend buying one with wheels. Especially with your H in crutches. The first tine we used it H could carry it fine, but when I flew solo with DS I didn't stand a chance of carrying it. I just pushed it on the stroller and wore him.

I've heard this theory before. A really obnoxious friend of a friend started telling me and how she can't wear her "wedding jewels" because it didn't fit (I think she was talking about a diamond bracelet) and there is literally nowhere she can take it to be adjusted because the diamonds are so flawless that any jeweler would try to steal them. Then as soon as she left my friend was like "bitch please. At her wedding we carried fake flowers and she asked for them back the next day so she could sell them on Ebay." LOL
Anyone have 2017 goals they want to share? I haven't even really thought about it, but here's a few off the top of my head:
1. Read. I used to read for pleasure regularly and I really want to get back into it.
2. Cook at home regularly. For health and financial reasons.
3. Keep a tidier house. This one seems hard with a toddler and upcoming babe, but I hate the constant mess.
I'm just going to steal yours. For a while I was doing really well with meal planning and cooking, but first trimester + moving kicked my ass. I need to get back on track. And I need to finish unpacking and properly furnish our house in addition to focusing more on cleaning.

JoBub - Part of me wants to do nothing until we move, but that's a ways off. And I'm nervous that something will come up and we'll have to extend our lease for some reason. But I figure these are three pretty manageable goals.

It's supposed to be date night tonight and SIL was going to keep DD all night, but just called and said her daughter has a rash all over her body. She's taking her to the dr now. FX it's nothing so she can still go over there. We neeeed date night!
We went and saw the new Star Wars this weekend and omg I was so confused. I guess I'm so out of touch but I thought it was a continuing of Rey's story and instead it was a whole different story. Took me an hour to figure out what was going on.

Lol. Having two is really doing a number on you huh? The next, Rey's story comes out next Nov. I think.
One of my BFFs in FLA is due with her first in the first half of Jan. She works for a small company and they don't fall under FMLA. She was told they would give her 8 wks. unpaid leave and had to return at that point, and if that didn't work for her, they would accept her resignation (she's been with them for years so I'm a little surprised at how coldly they handled this). Is it that cut and dry, or does she have other recourse's?
sstwinklinglites could she tack on PTO? Or maybe go back at 8 weeks but ease into it with working 2 days and taking 3 days PTO for a few weeks? Maybe she could ask about short term disability?

Just some ideas
I don't think she had any PTO available, and I also thought about short - term, but I know not all employers let you use it. Mine doesn't for maternity leave. They basically told her, this is the policy, if you don't like it, there's the door. She tried to work something out with them and they flat out refused.
