I know becole has some fun sounding plans, anyone else?
I'm bummed. DH had to go cover a store for some asshole that no called / no showed (and who is now unemployed). He wanted to spend the day with DS because he's hardly seen him this week, and that's shot; plus I can't go get my mani / pedi.
I'm probably just going to attempt some cleaning and make dinner for tonight and call it a day. I'll likely be in bed at my usual time.

I wish we could go to becole's party. I'm babysitting tonight. It sucks. We haven't had a good NYE in like 4 years. If I'm not pregnant next NYE, I will make it a point to do something fun.

I don't feel like NYE is a big deal. I've never had a NYE that I can really say was awesome. Usually we were with family and it was just food, drinks, music, the countdown on TV, talking shit, go home shortly after midnight. Boring by most standards.
Headed to the ILs for the weekend. Having dinner with some friends, but we're taking Z so we have an excuse to leave early-ish. DNW to be there when the partying starts. It's never been our scene.
We're going to a game day today with friends, then will probably just relax and do some cleaning/organizing. Nothing tonight, we declined all invitations this year - just wanna chill at home with H. And will probably be in bed early. DNW to be on the roads with people that might have drank too much.
The place we are going is close to the house. I think if I wasn't on leave and stuck in the house all the time, I probably wouldn't be excited. I'm really excited about the food and socializing. But as y'all know, I'm not a home body.
We have dinner reservations at a seafood place. For 4:00 pm. LOL. But I'm KU and SIL is 4 days away from giving birth so I think we're all excited for early dinner and early bedtime.
After the morning we've had, I'm almost more excited for DH to leave for the week Tuesday than I am for the inlaws to leave tomorrow. Gawd he turns into a major jackass when his parents are in town.

Mine too. He cannot handle the stress of his mother.

Well no mimosas for me. H is a nervous nelly about me ATM and had a meltdown about me drinking. I'm picking my battles and stuffing my face with jalapeño poppers, cheesecake, and guac.

mrscatfarmer13 love tit for support not for the non drinking. Cheesecake and jalapeño poppers sound amazing.
We invited our families over for the evening and are throwing together a 7 course dinner (7 for 2017. H talked me out of 17 courses). H's side is taking care of three courses, we are doing three, and my parents are doing one. We are in charge of the palate cleanser (sorbet) and the dessert and store bought both. I bought pretty things to dress them up. My philosophy is that it's about the experience and having fun, not slavint away in the kitchen. Everyone needs to also come up with a drink pairing (can be non alcoholic) to go with their course. We'll see how it goes. I'm super excited and hope it's fun.
We have one set of couple friends in the area that we knew from college and they were going to come over yesterday during the day, but their NYE plans got cancelled, so they ended up at our house. Turned out to be a great time and the kids got along well.

Did anyone make it to midnight? We were watching Luke Cage and I fell asleep just before 930. I think H was in bed by 10 too. M woke up around 2 with a fever, but thankfully went back to sleep ( in our bed) pretty easily. He slept until 830, which I am beyond grateful for.

We did. Not purposely, but it happened. Went to bed pretty immediately afterwards.
