Happy New Year friends! We celebrated with my SIL and her 2 kids. So a 6 y, 3y , 2y , and 5 month old. Made new year hats, glow stick jewelry, demolished the house....while the adults drink! Everyone is eating ice cream and I am nursing the baby. Overall a good time.
Went to visit my mom. She is home now, decided not to go to a rehab facility. I wish she would have, but not my choice.
Stopped on the way home and got ribeyes and baked potato fixings. Much excite!
Happy New Year, friends! Cheers!
How is she doing now that she out?
She's getting better very slowly. She can get out of bed and walk with a walker on her own. She can't be home by herself, though, for very long and that's really hard on my dad.

^like is to say thank you for sharing the update, not to like that she needs so much help and recovery is slow.
Though recovering slowly is better than not.
I'm sorry she didn't go to rehab, though. That urge to be home is so strong, but also so hard on caregivers, plus a good rehab place is set up so much better for people with limited mobility than almost any home is. (Remind me of this mini-rant when I am older and refusing rehab and/or a nursing home when really it is needed)

For new year's I went to bed earlier than any other day this past week! Though not asleep yet. Hopefully soon. A little jealous of those if you having fun celebrations, but so tired, so also not jealous!
Hope 2017 is,a healthy, happy, and prosperous year for you all!

My dad does have a lot of extra help right now. My sister is staying with them and my cousin has been there when needed. It's not ideal, but it's doable and it lifted her spirits to be home. There is a lot to be said for that, I think.
I got some extra baby snuggles and nursing in and now I'm just watching tv in my hospital room by myself because DH is home with DD. I wish he was able to be here but she has another ear infection and pink eye so it was important to me that at least one of her parents was home with her.

Happy New Year everyone! I didn't make it. Left the restaurant around 10.30pm, got back to the hotel around 11.30pm and was in bed before midnight, lol! We took the kids to the zoo in the morning and they had a countdown and ball drop at noon.
Happy New Year all! We were in bed and asleep by 10:30. No way we were going to make it till midnight. It was hard enough to watch the OSU football playoff game last night lol.
