4. AW/Questions/Complaints? I've been seriously slacking on my running the past 2 weeks, which is not a great time to do so. So I'm going for cumulative miles this weekend. Doesn't really have the same effect, and I feel like I'm going to hit the 11 mile wall during my half.
GTKY: Did you receive any healthy living-related gifts over the holidays? One of my running friends got me some new running socks.

1. What are your long-term goals for the year? Lose 40 lbs
2. What are your short-term goals that you are working toward right now? Better meal planning, get to gym 2-3 times a week, move everyday, take my dogs on individual walks instead of together, and healthier snacks!
3. Are you using/following any meal or exercise programs? I'm doing Weight Watchers and my friends sister is going to start doing group training for us + a few other friends, all moms.
4. AW/Questions/Complaints? I've already lost 14 lbs from weight watchers and I started 3 weeks ago! I haven't even added in the working out yet. I feel really good about myself. It also is helping that I have found a hobby so I'm not just sitting around eating.
GTKY: Did you receive any healthy living-related gifts over the holidays? Some cookbooks and yoga pants.
ashbash, I do yoga by Adrienne videos on YouTube when I can't get to the studio. She has tons of varying lengths and concentrations so you can do anything you like.
1. What are your long-term goals for the year? Lose 10-15 lbs before I get pregnant, which will hopefully happen spring/summer. And even if/when that happens, maintain moderate activity and healthy eating.
2. What are your short-term goals that you are working toward right now? H got everything set up in the basement so the TV works and the elliptical is ready to go, so I'd like to get on it twice during the work week and once on the weekend. I feel like that's a manageable amount for me. Also, now that the holidays are really done, I need to cut waaaaaaay back on sweets and get back on the good eating wagon. Going back to work Tuesday should help a lot.
3. Are you using/following any meal or exercise programs? No. If I don't notice a few pounds lost in the first couple weeks I'll start logging my food again to track calories. I've also strongly hinted that a Fitbit would be an excellent birthday gift, I can't find mine since the move.
4. AW/Questions/Complaints? I haven't stepped on a scale since before break. I should see what the damage is, but I'm avoiding it.
GTKY: Did you receive any healthy living-related gifts over the holidays?
No. Instead, we got five bags of candy combined. Some of that will be taken to work next week and left in the lunch room. Do not need that much chocolate in my house right now!
1. What are your long-term goals for the year? I want to be in a healthier place prior to getting pregnant. So, lose weight and gain muscle. Eating better overall, tracking what goes into my mouth, working out at least 3 times a week.
2. What are your short-term goals that you are working toward right now? Starting a consistent work out schedule. Drinking at least 64oz of water a day, again.
3. Are you using/following any meal or exercise programs? StrongLifts. It's a 5x5 lifting guide. You slowly work your way up. I really enjoy lifting and being strong. This works for me because we have a full gym in our basement. I'll probably pull my head out of my ass and realize I need to use MFP again.
4. AW/Questions/Complaints? Not yet!
GTKY: Did you receive any healthy living-related gifts over the holidays? Nope. I'll probably buy a couple new sports bras.

Happy New Year! Let's talk healthy living.
1. What are your long-term goals for the year? Establish a workable likable exercise routine, stick with it, and progress in it. I'm moving significantly less since going from SAH with J to a desk job. I need need need to get moving!
See a chiropractor, get aligned.
Less screen time before bed, and get to bed earlier (as I type this at 11:40 PM lol)
2. What are your short-term goals that you are working toward right now?
Join a gym with a pool (made a phone call today and got a free 7 day pass!)
Get back on track with my eating and water intake after the holidays
3. Are you using/following any meal or exercise programs? I use Isagenix nutritional cleansing products and clean eating guide and I'm in love. Theyve changed my life! I dropped some stubborn lbs but more than that I have more calm energy and less joint pain than Ive had in years! The "diet" is similar to a Whole 30, plus protein shakes, herbal supplements, and drinking LOTS of water!
4. AW/Questions/Complaints? People who work lots of hours during the week... when do you exercise?! I had a hard enough time working it into my schedule when I was SAH, I now feel overwhelmed trying to figure when/how/what/where. Trying to start by finding a pool.
GTKY: Did you receive any healthy living-related gifts over the holidays? I got a watch?
periwinkledaydreams, I haven't worked out in forever, largely because I felt like there's never time with working (almost) full-time! H and I are both committed to getting in the workout routine again though, so we've promised to keep each other accountable. We're lucky to have an elliptical in our basement, so my plan is to just work out for the duration of one Gilmore Girls episode after DS goes to bed - normally by 8. As much as it pains me to give up that "me" time, I'm hoping that as long as H and I are both alternating nights, it'll keep me accountable. Plus, not putting the pressure on myself to do it every night should help, my goal is to get down there just two nights during the week, and once on the weekend. Giving myself permission to not feel like it's something I must do every single day makes it easier for me.

periwinkledaydreams, various things I've done: *Get up 30 minutes early and go for a run. *Do a workout video (or two or three) while DH put LBB to bed. *Do "television workouts." Kind of like a drinking game, but with an exercise instead of a drink. Like on Once Upon a Time, "do 5 burpees everytime I character says 'Magic comes with a price.'" *Go for a run during my lunch hour at work.
My current situation is having DH do drop off so I can get to work early, and leave early and go for a run before picking the boys up.
1. What are your long-term goals for the year? I would like to loose 40 pounds. I have already lost 10 so im on the right path!!
2. What are your short-term goals that you are working toward right now? Just making sure that I get to the gym at least 3 days a week. Ideally I would like to make it 4 days but if I make it 3 I will be happy with that
3. Are you using/following any meal or exercise programs? I am tracking everything I eat in My Fitness Pal. It lets me track my macros so i know how much of everything i have eaten. DH found a website that i can enter my current stats and it breaks it all down for me so i know how much i should be eating if i want loose weight.
4. AW/Questions/Complaints? This weather we are currently having (rainy and gloomy) makes it hard to want to workout after we put the baby to bed for the night. However i was able to go last night so I'm hoping to be able to go tonight as well!
GTKY: Did you receive any healthy living-related gifts over the holidays? DH got me as a gag gift a WWE workout video that is hosted by Stephanie McMahon. I am actually going to give it a shot on the days that I cant go to the gym (Wednesday nights and Fridays). We shall see if it actually works or if it really is just a joke.
1. What are your long-term goals for the year? To lead a healthier lifestyle than I currently am.
2. What are your short-term goals that you are working toward right now? I would like to run on my elliptical and do some sit-ups/crunches 3x a week to start. Eventually I hope to work up to 5 x a week.
3. Are you using/following any meal or exercise programs? Not currently, but I am trying very hard to cut out unnecessary sugars and fats.
4. AW/Questions/Complaints? Anyone have any good excercises for toning the tummy area?
GTKY: Did you receive any healthy living-related gifts over the holidays? No
When i was working out with a trainer one of the exercises that I did was laying on your back, legs up in the air bent at a 90 degree angle. while keeping one leg bent, you want to slowing lower the other leg and tap the heal. you have to use your core muscles to keep your back 100% flat on the ground. Its hard but it works on your core which works on your tummy.
1. What are your long-term goals for the year? -Be under 200lbs by September and 185 by the end of the year -Start weight training again -Work on flexibility -Start some healthy habits, LO is more aware now and I don't want him learning bad habits from me.
2. What are your short-term goals that you are working toward right now? -No Starbucks for the rest of the month -Drink more water -Get a planner and set short term goals
3. Are you using/following any meal or exercise programs? -Nope
4. AW/Questions/Complaints?
None so far GTKY: Did you receive any healthy living-related gifts over the holidays? Haha nope, not unless you count the three pairs of Old Navy work out pants I bought myself on boxing day.
