How is breastfeeding going? Great- no issues with nursing
How is pumping/work (if you are back to work)? Here is the problem. I'm short about 1-2 ounces a day. I pump once in the morning before everyone wakes up, and twice a work. My freezer stash is decent, but won't last forever. Hopefully once we start B on solids I can reduce him to 7 ounces at DC.
How are nights? Terrible. He's up every 1.5 hours still. I'm at a loss.
Any teeth/signs of teething? Yes- two bottom teeth are just about through. They are taking their sweet time.
Questions/AW/Rant? I'm just about at my breaking point with how terrible his sleep is. I'm just.....lost here.
GTKY: Do you make resolutions? Care to share if you do them? Not typically. But this year I really need to make time to do something healthy for myself. The only time I can get to the gym is after I put the boys down for the night. By that point I make a million excuses and never go. I need to change that.
How is breastfeeding going? Ok. It seemed like my supply decreased for a little while and I'm not sure if she was just eating more, I wasn't drinking enough water, or I wasn't eating enough carbs. I increased my water consumption and upped my carbs to closer to 50g/day and it seems to be better now.
How are nights? Inconsistent. Some nights she goes down relatively easily and is only up 3 times. Sometimes it takes forever to get her down and she wakes up every hour. It's frustrating.
Any teeth/signs of teething? No.
Questions/AW/Rant? None this week.
GTKY: Do you make resolutions? Care to share if you do them? Not usually. We are moving back home at the end of the month and I have some goals this year related to that. I'm going to start looking for a job and we want to buy a house. I also want to find some mom friends out there.

How old is LO? 3 months (16w tomorrow)
How is breastfeeding going? Good besides the right nipple pain but it's still healing from the affects of some poor latching last week. Left side doesn't hurt at all so it's definitely me that's the issue, not his latch or a tie etc.
How is pumping/work (if you are back to work)? I go back tomorrow. Pumped a few times over the weekend to have bottles for tomorrow. Hoping pumping at work goes ok. Especially considering I'm an accountant and it's year end.
How are nights? Depends on the night. We had another STTN a few nights ago then a couple up every 4 hours and last night was up every 3.
Any teeth/signs of teething? I think so. Still drooling, gnawing on his hands, and fussy. Seemed to be starting to like the frozen keys teething ring we have.
Questions/AW/Rant? Back to work tomorrow... I was fortunate to have 16 weeks off but R still seems so young for me to be leaving him.
GTKY: Do you make resolutions? Care to share if you do them? I haven't bothered making a resolution in a long time. I would like to lose the baby weight; about 15lbs to go.

melody330 - Any chance the bad sleep is teething related right now? If they're taking that long to push through seems like that could affect sleep for a while.
pttomato - I notice a big difference if I have a bad water day. Hopefully the more water/carbs is all you need to get your supply back to where it was.

Maybe, but I doubt it. I've given Tylenol when I thought he was in pain from teething and he still woke up all night.
I'm reading some sleep training books now. Hopefully I'll find something we are comfortable with. This isn't sustainable.

Good luck! Hope you find something that works quickly for you!
Oh lovely. Just found a small/the beginnings of a plugged duct. Hopefully I noticed it quick enough to keep it from getting too bad.
Hot water and massage are key! Also, gravity. Try having baby on his back and lean over him so you're "dangling". It helps the clog move along.
And a diaper filled with hot water lasts longer than a washcloth in hot water!
Thanks for the tips! I massaged a bit then nursed an extra time on that side before DS went to sleep and it has already gone down some. I have those Lansinoh thera pearls heat/cool packs so I'm about to heat one up and massage some more.
Still a bit of a hard area, but no bump anymore like I could feel last night.
How is breastfeeding going? Still no issues nursing at all! Very very thankful
How is pumping/work (if you are back to work)? Much better! I'm back to pumping what she takes during the day. She's been up a bit more often at night, so I don't always pump in the morning now, but at least I'm keeping up. I realized I probably wasn't giving enough time for my second letdown to happen, and also started taking a supplement just to be safe. How are nights? They were great... now, not so much. The last few nights have been especially brutal with multiple wakeups in the beginning of the night. She'll eventually give us a 4-5 hour stretch, but the start of each night is rough. Any teeth/signs of teething? Two bottom teeth, and based on the amount of chewing on all. the. things. I think the top ones are coming Questions/AW/Rant? I feel terrible complaining about her sleep, because we really still are pretty lucky. I guess since she had been such a good sleeper it just kind hit me like a ton of bricks all at once. GTKY: Do you make resolutions? Care to share if you do them? Nothing usually specific. In general I just like to get back on track after the holiday eating fest!
Hi everyone! I posted here when DD was first born with every intention of moving to formula, but BFing has gone so well that I am making every effort to continue it.
How old is LO? 14 weeks
How is breastfeeding going? Great! DD has a great latch and is super quick. I have found bottles take her a lot longer to drink.
How is pumping/work (if you are back to work)? So, I just started back last week, and this week was my first week pumping. I pump once right when I get in the office then once midday. Today that got me 6.5 oz total. Since I was BFing on demand before going back to work, I am still not sure how much DD is consuming at each feed. It's confusing... I never pumped at work with DS, so I'm still trying to figure out the easiest way. How does everyone else do it? Hands free pumping bra? Like I feel like I'm stripping off a lot of clothes just for 15 min of pumping lol.
How are nights? Good. She is sleeping really well. Up usually once a night or so. We have been moving up her bedtime finally, so she has been going to bed earlier and earlier thankfully. The 11:30 bedtimes were starting to get to me.
Any teeth/signs of teething? She has begun gnawing on her hands, so maybe she is one of those crazy babies that pops a tooth early.
Questions/AW/Rant? See above. How the heck do you all pump at work?
GTKY: Do you make resolutions? Care to share if you do them? I don't usually, but this year I am going to focus on being more present. I am on my phone far too much. I want to spend more quality time with the kids and my husband.

For pumping at work.. I use the hands free pumping bra. Makes life so much easier! I also try to pump as often as LO ate, so for me that's every 2-3 hours which is 4 20-minute pumping sessions in an 8 hour workday. However, I'm pretty sure I'm not the norm there. Most of my mommy friends pump 3 times for an 8 hour day.
As far as how much baby needs.. I talked to my lactation consultant about the same thing before I went back to work. How much does your baby weigh? Once baby is 11 pounds, they are what the LC's call "on full feeds", which means they eat on average between 26 and 29 ounces every 24 hours. So when you're breastfeeding on demand, if you count the number of times baby eats in 24 hours, you can estimate about how much they get in each feed.
How is breastfeeding going? Good. Happy to be home and past the holidays and traveling. She's way too distracted and I end up leaking and engorged too often which leads to a supply dip when we get home. She's nursed nonstop for 2 days now.
How is pumping/work (if you are back to work)? Is it possible to stop responding? I work 2 nights and Saturday mornings (8 hours total) I had two weeks off and only pumped to relieve engorgement. Last night was a real struggle to get 2 ounces. Could be a supply dip from traveling though.
How are nights? Getting better again. Seems that 7-8 hour stretch is not coming back though.
Any teeth/signs of teething? Not really.
Questions/AW/Rant? My 6 year old niece was super interested in nursing while we were visiting. I enjoyed letting her learn alittle.
GTKY: Do you make resolutions? Care to share if you do them? Trying to be more present. Less time on my phone. Lose the last 10 pounds of baby weight. Long shot - I have a business idea and would like to get that started.
