I woke up, and H and I got all of the kids ready and off we went to church which starts at 9. I made eggs and tried to feed the them to my little guy D who kept saying "no way mama no way." I had nursed him so I just grabbed a go go squeeze and cherrios in a bag and we headed off. He didn't have a fever, and seemed fine, so we just went. The first hour of church everyone is in the chapel. D was being fussy so I took him out and sat on a couch in the hall. Suddenly he pukes all in my hair, down my shirt, into my bra, down my skirt, and even a bit on the floor but most of it was all over me. I went to the bathroom and tried to clean up the best I could, then scrubbed the floor a bit, and D and I headed out. My H and other kids stayed. After a shower D and I are cuddling on the couch watching Super Why, it's been a great morning
Honest to goodness this is his first time throwing up. He has spit up as baby, but never thrown up. Luckily it was just breast milk so it was just massive amount of white puke, still gross, but not too horrible.

The snow stopped. Our neighbors are awesome. They cleared our driveway again and I got a start on the weekend to do list. Of course it's so cold and windy that sometimes you can't tell the snow has stopped.

Ahhhh tough day at church sorry lady. Hope your LO is better.
I got to sleep in and then I got up and made my boys a big breakfast. After that hubby cleaned up and now we are all snuggling in Jammie's being lazy watching Mickey mouse clubhouse lok
Yuck to puke. :-( DD hasn't puked yet, and I'm worried she's saving it up for a really bad one.
Our dog busted into DD's room at 4:00am because he was scared of the storm and woke her up. So I took her into bed with me while DH slept on the couch. She was really restless and I barely slept, so around 8:15 I handed her off to DH and slept for another two hours.
Now we're all just hanging out at home. Apparently the roads are pretty icy, so we won't be leaving the house today.

It was -50F with the windchill when we got up, I'm hibernating for the day. I cleaned the kitchen, did a bunch of dishes, made brunch for everyone, we watched the jungle book, and played a bit. The town is having a cardboard box race at the ski hill today, DH and his work partner made an ambulance to match theirs and entered. We were supposed to go watch, but Mac didn't want to get dressed. When I asked if he wanted to go watch daddy or stay home and nap he kept repeating 'home, nap' so we stayed home. I turned on Thomas and he fell asleep in my bed. Now I'm laying here enjoying myself feeling baby karate and watching my big baby sleep. I was supposed to make a roast tonight but forgot to take it out of the freezer so we're having chili instead.

Ew.
DS was up for the day at 4 AM. DH had a work emergency that he slept through at 4 AM and has been stressfully dealing with since 7 AM. Feb 13 DD had a good morning. Ate an orange, finger painted without a tantrum, and cleaned up a big puzzle all by herself. Wind chill is supposed to be -30 or something and DH is worried that our outside pipes will be damaged. We are going a bit stir crazy, but I just can't bundle everyone up to face -3 temps+extreme wind unless it's an emergency... March is supposed to have some warm days... I am fantasizing about swimming in the kiddie pool in our backyard.
Church was canceled for us because of snow and wind/cold. Apparently wind chill temps are around -20 degrees F. We've basically just been hanging around not doing much of anything (except laundry and dishes of course.... they are never ending). Currently both kiddos are napping at the same time- WIN! So DH and I get free time. After they wake up we're going to his grandparents' house for supper, they always have the whole family over on Sundays. Not looking forward to going out in the cold but we won't be outside long at all and we'll be ready to get out of the house by then.
It's cold here (not anywhere near as cold at some of ya'll). We braved the store for groceries but other than that we are staying put. I should be cleaning but I'm wrapped in a blanket reading, which is much better
Thanks for the sympathy! That silly kid is totally fine it is so confusing. He watched TV then was up playing, asking for food, totally happy?!? I am happy he is feeling well, but the puke incident was odd. It is cold here as well, but not as cold as some of you, it might snow later but I am hoping it won't, they said there is a chance it won't.

Ugh, puke is so yuck. My feelz for all who had to do with it today.
DH and I are still sick, but last week we arranged for a babysitter this afternoon/evening so that we could celebrate Valentine's Day. We're going to see a movie and then casual dinner - hopefully it will be fun.
The weather here is beautiful today - shorts and tshirts. As much as I want to move back east, I'll miss the CA sunshine.
Oh sagen...I'm so sorry. That is up there with my great fears in life. DS has puked a couple of times but always in the kitchen.
Went to our church stake conference at the temple today. Same apostle spoke again; he was awesome. I love hearing him speak because he speaks with so much conviction.
Not awesome was DD blowing out her adorable dress outfit 30 minutes in. When DH lifted her out of her car seat, there was an audible gasp around us. And this from people who have been through lots of children themselves. It was bad. Eh, what do you do? Now she is sleeping in her swing, DS just went down for a nap, and DH and I are relaxing and watching House Hunters. Aaaaand...I am taking the day off WW. :-D
ETA: Also super sorry for all of you dealing with the super-cold weather...it sounds horrendous. It makes me glad I live in CA.

So sorry sagen. We are in the puking camp as well. DD threw up at 10pm on Thursday night then again 5 mins after she went to bed last night. She has been coughing so hard today. I am afraid of bedtime and laying her down. She will let me hold her for about 45 minutes then she throws herself sideways and tries to get off of me to lay down. Then proceeds to cough and cry. I feel horrible for her because she is a 2 year old who can not tell me what's wrong, that is if she knows, and if I don't do exactly what she wants a mega tantrum is happening.

Sorry you got puked on. When DD2 started to get sick 1.5 weeks ago, DH was lying on the floor with her lying on him and she puked all over him. So you're not alone by any means (although I'd say being in public kicks it up a big notch ).
