We have a steam cleaner. It's a bissell. I don't love it because it gets clogged with fur so we have to take it apart every few uses to get all the fur out. So make sure you look for something that can handle pet hair. Even if we vacuum a couple of times first the steam cleaner still picks up a ton of hair that the vacuum missed.

I think we have similar cleaners. Pretty sure it's a bissell and we have the same issue with hair. It works, though, so I won't complain
As for cleaner, I have a heavy duty one from either lowes or Home Depot (I forget where I bought it). Since we rent, I need stuff that will get a deep clean and don't trust the green cleaners to do that

I mean it's great it picks up so much of the hair that the vacuum leaves behind! It's just a pain to take apart all the time.
I have the pet Bissell and we like it. I now have no carpet in the house so don't really need it anymore...but when we did have carpet and a vindictive cat (still have the vindictive cat) it was a lifesaver! We did have to clean it out a lot but it's weirdly satisfying to clean out all that gunk!
