Poll about pee. and diapers.

I had no idea people did this differently than I do until today. Now I'm curious.

I always give L a wipe down. I figure I wipe pee off myself, so why wouldn't I wipe it off her? I discovered DH wasn't wiping her for pee only diapers about a week after she was born because of the same logic. He doesn't wipe his pee, so she doesn't need it either. Apparently my eyes bugged out of my head when he told me this MOTN, so he wipes her all the time now, too.

I don't wipe pee diapers. Pee is sterile and the diaper wicks it away so I figure it's fine. Plus neither girl has had issues with diaper rashes.

I selected no-boy. I don't usually wipe if it's just pee because his skin gets more damp with the wipe than it did without. Unless for some reason, he hasn't had a bath in a few days (this was more common before we had messy dinners and didn't bathe as often), I'd wipe him down once day.

I always have. It never even occurred to me that it was an option not to. The reasoning makes sense, I just never thought about it.

I selected yes for both. I feel like I'm more lenient with DS's diapers, but 75% of the time, yes.

I'm half and half with him. Like, first morning change I always do a quick wipe since there was pee on there so long. Or if we are out and he doesn't get a change for a long time. But otherwise I don't wipe for just pee.

I'm half and half for both. Usually, yes. But the diapers wick the fluid away so well it's not like she's sitting in a puddle. And we have never had rashes with either. However if I know I didn't wipe last change, I make a point of doing it. I also always wipe well first thing in the am.

Always wipe. I figure if I peed my pants I'd probably shower or wipe myself down, not just put new underwear on. I realize diapers soak it up so it's different from peeing your underwear, but yeah. Wiping all around. Did the same with DS.

I almost never use a wipe with pee diapers. Except times like tonight, when I open her diaper and find a bunch of shredded cheese.

I didn't with DS and I don't most of the time with DD. I would if there was irritation going on or something, but she doesn't seem to mind or stink ;-)

We always wipe with pee -- but we also deal with diaper rashes on the regular. I then pat her dry before we seal her up.
