Well, I decided to head home at lunch. Contractions seem to pick up a lot more when I'm walking around so my mom and I are going to grab lunch and see what we can get to happen walking around somewhere.
I just purged the crap out of my closet. It feels great. On to the dressers. I have far too many gym clothes, but I do end up using most of them so that drawer might might be my compromise
Ds and I went to Whole Foods for a late lunch. Spicy shrimp sushi for the win. We just finished up a half mike walk around the block, he walked the entire thing! I think he was super excited about the snow.
thelittleredm sounds like it's going to be an exciting day for you!
MissDemeanor add me to the list of first kid disliking the swing. He did use the bouncer for a couple of months.
It's super exciting clean out the fridge-fend for yourself-leftovers night here. I made twice baked potatoes last night and broke some of the skins so I'm just going to eat a bowl of cheesy delicious potato stuffing leftovers because why not. I should probably make a salad to go with it.

lakegirl, that sounds delicious. We are also doing fend for yourself leftovers over here. I am just too tired and uncomfortable to do anything else. And dh is being productive and fixing shit.
I'm trying to convince myself to go to the food store. We had pizza last night and I ate chicken francaise (takeout) the night before, so I sort of should cook tonight. I would like to eat beef stew, but I also don't feel like going anywhere, cooking anything or walking through the food store when it feels like my cervix is about to give up and just let the baby fall out. Seriously, what is up with this pain??
MissDemeanor we only had something like that and DD loved it. Here's hoping this baby does too.
This is us. DS1 loved his bouncy chair. I put DS2 in it for the first time yesterday and he didnt complain.
If you had nothing I'd say start with this and see how you get on. Do you need it in addition to other swings etc? Probably not.
We had a swing (that came off to be a bouncer chair) and no actual chair. DS hated the swing/chair combo. My parents had a FP bouncer chair at their house and DS actually tolerated it quite well. It was the only baby item he'd stay in for more than 2-3 min. The chair seemed to be softer and cradle him more than the swing.
So, this go around I have the swing, a bouncer, a pnp and the graco version of the RNP. Hoping this kid is happy to be put down in one of them.

I want to make beef stew too but I might just wait until my mom gets here and have her make it
It's leftover homemade pizza night here.
NST went well. Only two more before eviction day. Though if things shake down like they did with DS her birthday will be Friday the 13th!
I got started on the great baby clothes sort. Holy crap, I underestimated that task. We got so much stuff for her! I already have two grocery bags to donate and I still have one giant vacuum bag left from a friend to go through. Though I think that one is mostly 12m +
Since we switched ds to his new big boy bed his bedtime routine has changed a bit. He doesn't want to read a book anymore. His choice. He won't pick one or swats it away when mh tries to read it. Mh is all butt hurt about it. I understand his feelings as his evening time with ds is limited (7pm bedtime) and it was a special little thing they did but the other part of me is all: DUDE. Your kid does his bedtime routine with minimal complaints. If he wants to crawl into bed and put himself to sleep without a story let him. Count your blessings.
Which reminds me: @orangcrush did I miss an update about how the new room transition went? Anymore crib jailbreaks?

Yeah, I'd call that a win. Routine is cut shorter just in time for the new baby. It's sweet that your DH is upset about losing the cuddles though.

Well, decided to head to the hospital this afternoon after my contractions had picked up walking around Hobby Lobby. I was really torn about whether it was really time to go in but decided to play it safe. After the second check, the doctor decided to send me home. She said I'm in labor but she wanted to see my contractions closer together so we're home now and munching on Subway. My in-laws are keeping DS for the night just in case we need to go back in tonight. We will see!
lakegirl she tried to climb out when I first put her in it for bedtime the first night but I was pretty firm with her and she hasn't done it since. This will be the 3 or 4th night and she's only had a few wakeups so it's been pretty good overall! I think I might put a nightlight in since she wakes up looking for her stuffed dog and can't find it.
