becole I'm so glad you all are having a great time! So jealous you are in the warmth and sunshine! I've considered going to visit my parents in Orlando in Feb. just to get the heck out the cold. Disney really is magical, I don't know how they do it, but even as an adult I loved it there.
For sure go! People are so nice and helpful with littles. I had some guy hold #2 while I buttoned his pants. Everyone on the plane was offering #1 snacks and stuff. And then the help in Disney too. Don't be intimidated. It's a good time. Always works out.
Is C enjoying activities that are from movies he's not familiar with? My DS knows the original MMCH characters, and Cars and Nemo, but hasn't seen any other Disney movies. So I have been wondering if he would care about Disney or not.
He says "I want to ride the rides all day long. I don't think he cares, it's just cool to him. He has seen a lot of Disney movies though... he mostly watches movies and doesn't see shows at all but he still liked seeing the storm troopers and Jake from the neverland pirates. They're just good stuff to him.
becole are you staying at a onsite Disney resort? I want to plan a trip for 2018. All my coworkers say to stay on property. My parents offered to come with us. They're not really interested in Disney world, but they would watch the kids during the evenings so H and I can go out. They're saying we should just rent a condo nearby.
I've stayed off property for financial reasons in the past, but on property is the way to go for the full Disney experience and convenience. You get extra park hours, property provided transportation between all Disney properties, including transportation to airport. They offer special dinning packages only to those staying on property, and you get that Disney service everywhere. And there's a lot to be said for the way Disney makes guests feel, it's next to none. But financially, off site can save a lot of money. You just have to coordinate a rental car, and meals. I like to stay at condos and such, and we do groceries and cook at home to save money.

My dad is a Hilton honors member and they offered him a free stay in a timeshare resort here for listening to a presentation, it's beautiful. Called Parc Soleil. It's a king bedroom with a locked off door, big soak tub and shower, kitchen and fridge, dining table, living room with sofa sleeper. Then for like $100 they added an adjoining room so my parents also have a king bed and shower with small kitchen. It's 20 minutes from Disney but it's not in the park. Hs Aunt walked us in today for free but otherwise If everything wasn't free I would stay at the park and buy tickets and schedule your fast passes. Tickets for 4 people is $440 for MK. Costco has deals that include tickets as well with resort.
Since you can take food into Disney too, we brought a soft cooler to pack drinks and brought kid snacks and we can carry in food. I'm at he hotel for nap right now while my parents listen to the presentation.

Thanks becole and sstwinklinglites! Totally makes sense. I'm leaning towards the splurge and staying at the park. We only plan to go to Disney once or maybe twice. But we will see once I start pricing stuff out.
There are resorts that are priced budget friendly. The budget airlines are also decently cheap. It's the food/ character breakfasts/ and tickets to the parks that are a lot, imo. And anything your kid wants to buy like some $20 Mickey bubble blower and $24 ornament we have bought so far.
I don't know if you've seen those commercials now about how Duke is the electric provider, but another company is the carrier? Well, that's what I had explained previously that we did, and our bill went down significantly. We use... Zoom Energy. If you're interested, I can get you the information for the friend that turned us to it and signed us up.

No I don't think we've gotten another one yet. I'll have to ask H. It all comes out automatically and the emails go to his inbox, so I only see it if he forwards them to me. I'd kind of prefer not to know sometimes. LOL
