Hi, sorry I haven't been around much, but I have a quick question. Yesterday I got either food poisoning or a 24-hour stomach bug. The milk I got last night looks a bit funny - thin and watery and almost bluish. I'd like them to get my antibodies but I'm worried about giving them milk that seems off. I have been BF throughout the day today but we give pumped bottles at night.
I've heard of milk changing to be more like colostrum when you're sick, but this seems to be almost the opposite.
Interesting! I remember reading on Kellymom that sometimes BM is watery with a blueish tint so I would think it's fine but I haven't ever personally experienced this!

I think the color is related to the fat content sometimes? I would imagine the makeup of your breastmilk changed, because of what you were/weren't able to keep down. But I wouldn't worry about giving it to your babes.
