Had an interesting dream this morning after a 3:00 wake up.
Mark Cuban and I were working on a new business venture together. Developed the hots for each other and started having an affair. Except his name was Victor and mine was Myla.
Hi everyone. Interesting 18 hours or so here. I took a short nap late yesterday afternoon and woke up feeling like I'd been hit by a bus. Headache, muscle aches, really queasy stomach. So DH sent me to bed, where I stayed until about thirty minutes ago. I'm feeling better now, just completely drained. DH took care of the kids and fed C bottles, although I did get up to nurse her early this morning. He told me when I got up, "you definitely have the harder job between the 2 of us". Too bad there's no salary in it!

I think I woke up in the twilight zone. C slept for 7 hours last night! He woke up at 5, changed diaper, ate and went down easy for another 3 hours! It was so weird to wake up and actually feel awake. I almost couldn't get back to sleep.

The first few times it happened here I felt like "shit did I sleep through a wake up and not realize it and he/she cried until she passed out again?" . Very weird feeling.

+1 to major decluttering. I started small with the coupon drawer the other day. I can't wait to do all the drawers in our room and hallway closets.
We were talking the other night about buying a new bedframe since I hate the one we have. That turned into maybe we should get a whole new bedroom set. So we decided to sell this one first, then paint the bedroom and get new carpet, then get a new bedroom set. All of this because I said I hated the bed frame and was going to check Wayfair.
goldenlove3 If you're looking at way fair, may I suggest Joss and Main which had their furniture at discounted prices? Sometimes even free shipping. If you find one on way fair that you like, you can search for it at J&M.

Yea I was sure that H woke up with him but forgot to log it in the app. I actually checked the tapes (ie nest cam footage) and he was sleeping the whole time.

vinolove C loves the sounds of water too! We have a portable sound machine and we took it with us to the hospital when he had to go under the billi lamps. We thought it would be cute to put on the ocean sounds while he "sun bathing" and he seems to love water sounds ever since.
I also had a rough night. Baby didn't go down until 1:30, up at 3:30 and then no sleep until 7:30. Plus H and I had a MOTN fight, so that was fun.
Ugh. That's the worst. I hope you guys got it worked out.
Nope. We haven't said a word to each other all morning. My parents should be here any minute and then we have friends coming over later. Should be an interesting day.
LizInFL oh no, feel better! jubilantsquirrel hugs, I hope you guys can figure it out vinolove I have an app called Sound Sleeper that has tons of different sounds, including one called Mountain River. I highly recommend it. It's free to download for a 1/2 hour of play but you have to buy the upgrade for continuous play. Best $3 I've ever spent. When DS was little we tried some YouTube videos but I found them unreliable at times, especially the longer ones, which could be slow to buffer. The app runs without Internet access.
LizInFL I hope you start feeling better soon! jubilantsquirrel Ugh. Sorry about the rough night and fight.
We had a fun blowout situation at my mom's this morning. Luckily I'd packed an extra outfit in the diaper bag.
We are trying to plan our Spring Break trip. It occurred to me that no one actually asked me what I want. It was "We're going to the beach. Let's find a place to stay! And no we don't want to stay in the historic district, it has to be on the beach or very close, and can't be too much." Oh and now my mom and her so are coming too. Which is fine, but I'm feeling a bit bulldozed here and pretty outnumbered. I almost want to be like, y'all go to your beach house 20 minutes away and I'll stay at a little historic home with the girls where I want to stay. The fact that no one is asking me what I want is what's annoying me. I gave birth. I do 90% of the taking care of people. Shouldn't I get a say in our vacation?

I have a stage 5 clinger on my hands today! He's only happy sleeping on me or nursing. Other than that he's crying! I don't like staying in my pjs all day... it's not good for my mental health. But here I am in pjs after 3pm, watching the Twilight marathon with unbrushed teeth.
I must have heard your bat call as I just picked up my phone to Check in here.
Maybe not a specialist, but I have some knowledge. What's up?
Ha! This might be hard to explain. I'll do my best. When I'm checking for DR, do I put my palm face down with my fingers pointing towards my legs when checking for how many fingers of DR i have? So I'm doing like a horizontal finger count? Or putting my finger tips down in my stomach towards my legs so I'm doing a vertical finger count? I've seen conflicting stuff online. Does this even make sense haha?
fingers should be vertical on your body, so either pointing towards your legs or your chest. The connection goes side to side. So the separation would be how far from the middle. Was that clear? Or no?
danib Hugs, so many of them. I'm sorry you're having a rough time with YH and for your MIL. I really hope your time with YH goes up from here and that he is proactive over the next few days.
waitwhattgrimes1980 planks are not good unless you have a strong core or know how to truly activate your core during a plank. You don't want to be doing a plank and have your back arching so that your midsection is hanging down. As you mentioned tgrimes, doing the plank position with you feet far away but leaning forward or doing it on your knees is a good way to start and learn the proper positioning of a plank. Same way you would modify and progress push ups. The key, really, is learning how to get your inner abdominal muscles firing. This will allow the outer muscles, the ones that tore, to realign and heal. Some people can feel their inner abs and are able to activate them. I think of trying to pull my abs from each side of my waist outward. It is really hard to explain by text to know if you are doing it correctly. I don't know if this helped at all.
So this 'guide' for babies our ages says that the awake time is supposed to be 50-80 minutes. Then nap.
Is this happening with your babies? Cause I don't think it is here, she has really good sleep, nurse, sleep cycles from about 11pm-9am and then the day is a crapshoot. She thinks her catnaps of 10-15 minutes after nursing completely rejuvenate her.
Spoiler: they dont
We are having the same experience except our night cycles are from 9:30-7:30/8. She naps for like 10-15 minutes and then is wide awake again during the day. I feel like I vaguely remember Lillian doing this except without the night sleep. I'm hoping because it's a vague memory it will soon turn into more solid morning and afternoon naps with some sort of schedule.
