You can make a tzatziki dip with Greek yogurt and garlic, lemon juice, and cucumbers.
Or, even easier, I love apple slices dipped in vanilla Greek yogurt.
What about making zucchini fries and dipping them in marinara?
I tend to dip veggies, like green beans, spring peas, carrots, jicima, celery, bell peppers, but I have a feeling that's not what you mean by "decent."

1. How did you do on your goal progress/choices this past week? Exercise wise it was great. I did strength training every day of the week, and BH joined me today. I ran 4 days this week.
Food-wise was good until today, when I had a beer. I'm calling it my "cheat day" even though there are no cheat days, and I stuck with the plan the rest of the day.
2. What are your goals for this week? same as last, keep up the strength training and running, and finish the half strong next weekend.
3. Questions/AW/Rants/Thoughts? Today I was supposed to run 12 miles. My friend that I ran with was only running 8. I was so tempted just to do 8. But I got there early and decided to run a mile waiting for her, then I forced myself to stay and do 3 more after she left.
4. GTKY: What song motivates you to move? I feel like this is a moving target, always changing. In 2016 it was The Police's Synchronicity II. My old standby is Jimmy Eat World's Pain.

How did your first week of 2017 go?
1. How did you do on your goal progress/choices this past week? Goal is to stay fit because I'm teaching dance. I got to run for the first time in a week (cold weather sucks). Been lifting every couple days, so 4 miles felt good.
2. What are your goals for this week? I havr a 6.5 mi trail race on Saturday. Goal is to finish in 75 minutes.
3. Questions/AW/Rants/Thoughts? AW I had steak for dinner. Lean protein and veggies!
4. GTKY: What song motivates you to move? Toby Mac Momentum, but I don't typically listen to anything when I workout.

1. How did you do on your goal progress/choices this past week? -I did better with meal choices. I forgot to pick up some more vegetables when at the grocery store today since I was in a time crunch and left my list at home -water intake was slightly better, getting in at least 3 glasses a day now. I'm doing a "year in pixels" page in my planner for this, so I'm excited to see the colors change -steps I was over 11,000 3 days, 9,500 1 day...and then there's the days I wasn't at work, where I was only around 5,000
2. What are your goals for this week? -continue better meal choices and increasing water intake -better sleep (it's 1:30 am as i'm writing this...it can only get better, right?)
3. Questions/AW/Rants/Thoughts? -my garmin doesn't track my steps at the grocery store, apparently. Maybe I need to put it in my pocket or something?

I do the same with apples and yogurt, but Ill stir up half yogurt half peanut/almond butter. Yum!

What are your goals for this week? -I started actually tracking with MFP yesterday so being accountable with getting back into that routine -staying within calorie limits -3 workouts again -maintain water intake but I forgot that 64oz can't all be during the work day because peeing as a teacher is hard
3. Questions/AW/Rants/Thoughts? Aw:I still worked out on Thursday even though we had had a rough night and my motivation level was at a -5.

1. How did you do on your goal progress/choices this past week? I met my exercise goal - I was on the elliptical three times over the past week, which is awesome for me. Food-wise, I did a little better - I was better at snacking less at night during the week, but this weekend we at a bit more poorly again.
2. What are your goals for this week? Keep on keeping on - exercise at least three times, no more evening snacks during the work week and just trying to stay mindful of food choices and portion sizes.
3. Questions/AW/Rants/Thoughts? I'm 100% with you, budders. I just started my period yesterday, weighed myself this morning, and oof. Hoping I'll be pleased at the end of the week when all the water weight comes off. I will say, my pants seemed a bit easier to button this morning, and that makes me feel better about the number on the scale.
4. GTKY: What song motivates you to move? I'm a weirdo, and music doesn't really motivate me exercising. We set up a TV in our basement, so re-watching Gilmore Girls down there in peace has been motivating me.
1. How did you do on your goal progress/choices this past week? Good! I weighed myself before my first fast day and was up 10lbs from before the holidays, so that was a good motivator for me. I've already lost that 10lbs after my first week of alternate day fasting (well modified,I'm only doing MWF). I'm sure it was mostly bloat/water weight. But I feel good about it!
2. What are your goals for this week? Stick to my MWF fasting. Go to UJAM on Tuesday and Thursday. Go to sleep by 11 every night. Drink lots of water.
3. Questions/AW/Rants/Thoughts? ETA: We went to Cheesecake Factory on my fast day and I still stuck to the diet! They have their skinnylicious menu that has chicken lettuce wrap tacos for 260 calories so I ordered that and had the will power not to eat any of the delicious bread. We did take our leftover bread home and I had a piece the next day. I feel like that's what is going to make this diet so doable, that I can always have something the next day if I still want it.

1. How did you do on your goal progress/choices this past week? I saw the thread while I stuffing my face at a buffet in Mexico, so I opted to wait until this week to participate. Haha. Last week was dedicated to food and alcohol. Now I'm ready to get started with a healthy 2017.
2. What are your goals for this week? Get back to my gym routine. Be as active as I can be despite the terrible weather forecast. Get back to my healthier eating habits after 3 weeks of treats.
3. Questions/AW/Rants/Thoughts? We are all sick this week so I might have to slow down a bit. I'm frustrated. I am mad at my body for not even letting me get back into this. I'm mad my H still wants to deviate from my meal planning and get pizzas and make cookies and such (two things I can't turn down). I'm worried that, with the price of our new HVAC, our gym membership will have to go.
4. GTKY: What song motivates you to move? Anything Beyoncé. Hey ya/bombs over Baghdad - outkast. Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, Rihanna (whom I can't stand normally)...all good.
erbear, I'm sorry you're feeling so frustrated so soon! Eating is by far my #1 downfall, I'm with you - I have such a hard time saying no to things like cookies and pizza. So when then inevitably make their way into my house, I'll try to tell myself to eat one slice less of pizza than I normally would, but then throw some extra carrot sticks or something on my plate instead. Or make the cookies smaller in size, so by eating one, I'm still eating less, but again, still getting the "treat." It's impossible for me to say no completely, so I try to just do less, and find it still helps when I'm really trying to lose weight. Maybe try little tricks like that? Hope you're feeling better about things next week!

1. How did you do on your goal progress/choices this past week? I did OK. Meal planning went out the window and I didn't do so well. I didn't get to the gym, but I did at home workouts and walked each dog a mile in the mornings(total two miles) and then a mile together in the evenings. Once it's not so cold out I'll hopefully do more.
2. What are your goals for this week? Get my house organized, I can't meal plan, eat healthy, chase a toddler around, plan workouts and everything else, with my house the unorganized disaster it is. My moms best friend is a professional organizer and is coming over this week to help us out. Both SO and I come from disorganized families(his being hoarders)and we never learned how to really do it. Other than that, goals are basically the same.
3. Questions/AW/Rants/Thoughts? I need a new sports bra and workout pants, what are you faves? (Fairly large chested and I like high waisted and tight at the top pants).
I took all my measurements last night and hung them on my mirror and made myself an incentive chart. I get a special for every 10 lbs I lose.

erbear don't be so down on yourself, it sounds like you're doing the best you can. Remember everyday is a new day to try again. That's how I've been thinking and it's really been working. So I did poorly yesterday, we'll today I get to try to do better. You can't undo the past.
pghtruelove I got really snug exercise pants at Old Navy. I love them! & believe it or not Victoria's Secret has a whole line of sports bra, they are sooooo much more supportive than what I used to use.

You inspired me to start doing 30 Day Shred again earlier this week. I can't commit to it every day because my knees, shoulders, and butt were hurting too bad, but I'm going to try to stay at it on a semi regular basis.

you can do it! You will absolutely hate day 1-3 on all levels but it does get better and you do get so much stronger. By the end of level two I had to up my weights because it was too easy! When on day 2 of that one I had to take so many breaks. Honestly even if I wasn't losing inches, I'm proud of how strong I've become. My one knee is bad too. A few of the wxcercises where you need to be on your knees, I put a small pillow under my knees and that helps a ton
Now you have me thinking to do 30 day shred instead of BBM. I do find BBM a little easy. I didn't realize you could youtube Jillian's videos?

I did 6 week 6 pack after 30 day shred. Spoiler alert: I did not have a six pack at the end. But it's a good workout. She has a new app that one of my friends is using. My friend really likes it if you want to look into that.
