I'm going to do freezer meals. I will probably find about 10 different recipes and just do multiple of those. I have a ton on my Pinterest that I've been perusing
You are ambitious! I am definitely planning on some although I have a small freezer. I will probably make some bean burritos, chicken stock, meatballs. It seems like a lot of my freezer meals are more winter based meals, looking forward to suggestions!
I'll be doing this. I did it with baby #2 and it was a life saver. I will probably start next month so it's not frozen too long. I plan to make enough for 15 meals or so. Some batches I make will be enough for 2 meals (like a big tray of lasagna I'll freeze in 2 sections). Here are some things in plan to make - this was my list last time.

I'm planning on doing some freezer meals, and doing some freezer prep starting next month. I'm not sure how many I will do it all depends on what I'm up to next month. I'm planning on doing several small lasagnas, manicotti, a couple different casseroles, taco meat, and lactation cookie dough. I will honestly put more emphasis on the cookies just because my husband loves to cook and my moms already talking about what meals she would make for us once little miss is here. Last time my husband tried making the cookies and they were a major flop, his cooking is amazing but baking is not his thing.

@kendra1992 they are essentially oatmeal cookies made with steel cut oats with brewer's yeast and flax seed meal added in. I make a variety of flavors so they don't get old. They really helped me with my supply.
I was just thinking about this today! I'm definitely planning on doing it, just not sure which recipes yet. I remember seeing a blog post about that on a blog called All Things Katie Marie a while back, but I'm not sure if I'll be using those recipes yet or not. Gotta start pinteresting some ideas!
I will probably do about 10, we don't have a huge freezer but it is nice to be able to have them as an option. A bunch of our friends do meal trains for each other when we have kids which is nice because I get to bless them with a meal when they need it and can't cook and then others do it for us when we have our kiddos
I'd love to do freezer meals, but I don't have any room in my freezer. My parents have offered to give us their box freezer, but no one has a vehicle big enough to transport it!
I am definitely doing this. It was awesome to have a months worth last time so I think we are planning on having about 25-30 meals this time. A few of these will be just chicken/steak/fish already marinated and using frozen veggies as sides. We will probably start prepping mid April.

Yes! I remember eating a lot more those first few weeks after delivery with DD. Nursing made me eat a lot. I'm looking for suggestions on what to make.
I did freezer meals with DS then he turned out to be MSPI so I couldn't use any of them. I'll probably make some baked oatmeals that are MSPI safe but probably not much more than that. It was hard getting rid of so much food that I couldn't eat.
I'd love to do some freezer meals but don't have a chest freezer. We don't have much room in our regular freezer.
Same here luckily we will have my grandma here for a little bit to help cook, plus DH has a month off work so he can help, plus our church sends people over with food. So hopefully we will be okay, but I'm slightly nervous about when everyone is gone!
Same here... But I am thinking like you @allybells I will have my mom and DH here. And my church normally has someone bring meals the first week or so after birth.
I want to do this, but need to research what freezes well. Lasagne, pasta sauce, soup for sure but not sure what else. H won't eat casserole or stew so that limits me a bit.
I'm planning on looking up some crock pot meals and then doing things like pasta sauce and soups like you said. I heard it's a good idea to put crock pot meals or marinating meat in gallon ziplock bags and stack them to save freezer space. This thread makes me want to get started pinteresting more ideas! If any of you ladies know what you are making, please share
I'm definitely making some freezer meals, probably over Easter break if we end up having any days left so DD1 will be home from school and able to help. I don't know which exactly I'm making yet. I'm going to look into some 'dump' meals. We do the sweet salsa dump chicken on a pretty regular basis. You just drop all the stuff into a ziploc bag and throw it in your freezer. Sometimes we throw it in the oven and sometimes the crockpot. I'll probably end up with a bunch of casseroles too. And I usually do some meat like taco meat, chili, pulled pork, even just browning hamburger and throwing it in the freezer makes meal prep easier. We'll probably get some meals from people at church and DH is very capable of cooking, it's just nice to have as many on hand as possible. Add to it that it will be summer time and my older 2 won't want to hang out inside long enough for me to prep a meal.
I am doing them, but I don't have a chest freezer, so I can probably only fit 6 or 7 things in there. I am planning to just double whatever freezer-friendly meals I make between now and the end and freeze half. I actually bought stuff for the first one to make today, since I am off of work (a roasted chicken and mushroom casserole with egg noodles), but H has a touch of the stomach bug DD just got over, so I don't know if he will be up for something that rich. It might have to wait until later in the week. But, I figure if I put a freezer-friendly meal on our menu every week or so between now and April and save half, we will be good to go. I definitely want to freeze some homemade spaghetti sauce and some shredded meat for Tex-Mex, plus a couple non-dinner items, like healthy muffins or banana bread.

Yes, I'm not sure what yet! Some ideas are chicken enchiladas, pasta bake(s), chicken pot pies. Still researching and probably won't start until April sometime.

I just started doing freezer meals to make life easier. So far I have BBQ chicken, lasagna, "pasta bake" (extra lasagna filling mixed together with regular noodles" a taco casserole and a cheese and chicken casserole. I also bought more than normal freezer foods. Like fish and kielbasa that freeze really easy and are easy to cook. I also bought a bunch of bacon that was on sale for later too. I'm thinking blts or burgers or something easy
I saw this on The Kitchn today and thought of you ladies, it's a 4 part weekly series (halfway through) to help clean out and get on track with using your freezer for meals! Mine looks pretty much like the before picture, I might tackle this project this weekend.
also if you can freeze things flat in a ziplock bag then you should be able to fit more in there. I used to use tupperware and realized quickly that it doesn't work as well
I never did this with my first two (didn't have time they were early birds) so I'm starting to plan this now! We're fortunate that we were spoiled with meals the 5 weeks I was on bed rest and a couple weeks after delivery by the food ministry at our church.

Soup, soup, soup! Tortilla soup, broccoli cheddar soup, chicken noodle soup. Bring 'em on. I freeze them in quart-sized bags (lying flat), so there's enough for 2-3 bowls. We get dinner (and maybe a lunch) without having to eat the same thing several days in a row.
I'll also make enchiladas, chicken pot pie, and some of those chicken-with-sauce crock pot recipes (check Pinterest for a million ideas).
Suggestion: I'd avoid making many pasta dishes. When we had our first, everyone -- and I mean EVERYONE -- brought pasta: lasagna, baked ziti, various noodle casserole things. I think pasta is a "safe" bet when bringing food to someone else, so we got a ton of it. I burned out on it quickly.
I'll make a chicken parmesan casserole, taco meat, pasta sauce, chicken and noodles, marinated chicken to quickly grill up, breakfast burritos, and cookie dough.

I will do scrambled eggs, cheese, precooked Jimmy Dean sausage crumbles, and then sauté up onion, green or red pepper and sometimes tomato cut in little pieces. You could also add salsa instead of doing your own veggies.
I actually didn't do any freezer meals when I was pregnant with DD. We moved into our new house a week before my due date (and she was a week late). So between packing to move and then unpacking/settling in, I didn't even think about freezer meals
It worked out well that she was born in June bc we mostly just bbq'd. I had a bunch of meat stocked up in freezer and DH put it on the grill while I made an easy side/salad. My mom and MIL were huge helps also sending over dinners those first few weeks

I just use regular flour tortillas. (Haven't tried any other wraps or corn tortillas) You can freeze them wrapped individually in plastic and then stack them into a tupperware. To warm them up, I wrap them in a paper towel and microwave on 50% power for a minute, then flip and do the other side for a minute. It helps to heat them through without the outside becoming nuclear hot!
