Updates/Appointments: 24 week app on Friday, next growth scan on the 26th
Feeling: meh, sleep sucks. I'm having a rough time with DS1's 2nd birthday coming next week... I'm not ready for him to be 2!
Rants/Raves/Randoms: my freaking MIL
To Dos: not much. Just need to do a final organization of the nursery and wash clothes/bedding
QOTW: What is your favorite baby item purchase so far? (Furniture/Outfit/Toy - anything!)
I don't really have a favorite. We're reusing all but the basic furniture that I haven't had to buy much this time around- just the crib, dresser, and glider, and we've got the first two of that list already
Size: A swede. (Kinda feels like I'm carrying a Swedish dude)
Updates/Appointments: 20th I have GTT, growth scan on the 30th, and appointment on the 6th to check everything over and get my whooping cough vaccine.
Feeling: Like I have a bowling ball on my bladder. This baby is so low compared to my DS1 who sat really really high in my ribs.
Rants/Raves/Randoms: trying to book in to see the doctors st the hospital here is stupid. Their client hours for appointments are Mon - Wed 830-1130. I work those hours usually, and it's hard to get away. Then then midwives are usually only in the afternoons and evenings I work evening shifts. They encourage women to work during pregnancy but how if they have ridiculous time frames to try and book in to see the health professionals?!
To Dos: Pick a name. Buy baby linens and new mattresses for bassinet and cot. Attempt to find someplace to set up baby area.
QOTW: What is your favorite baby item purchase so far? (Furniture/Outfit/Toy - anything!) We are reusing a lot of the crap I had with DS1 and haven't purchased anything else. I got a sweet deal on second hand dresser and change table for $100. Pretty happy with that. Oh and I got a World of Warcraft onesie. I giggle a bit when I see it.

EDD/Weeks: 4/16/17 26w1d
Size: coconut
Updates/Appointments: never heard anything back from the cardiac monitor so I'm assuming no news is good news. My next OB appt is the 25th and she wants me to do my glucose test that day.
Feeling: mostly excited. But I've been feeling really round and my boobs super heavy. I told DH it's insane to think I've still got 14 weeks of growing left.
Rants/Raves/Randoms:
To Dos: pick out little man's middle name and finish his nursery
QOTW: What is your favorite baby item purchase so far? (Furniture/Outfit/Toy - anything!) My favorite is hands down the fabric I got to make his crib sheets. It's so cute!!
Updates/Appointments: Weds 1/11 for 28 wk and glucose test Feeling: Uncomfortable and ready to be done. Rants/Raves/Randoms: My skin on the top of my stomach is sensitive, clothes rubbing on it makes me crazy. To Dos: Still the blinds
QOTW: What is your favorite baby item purchase so far? (Furniture/Outfit/Toy - anything!) both babies coming home outfits. They are similar but not super matchy, I think they will look so cute

EDD/Weeks: 4/19- 25w 5d
Size: Cauliflower
Updates/Appointments: I go in to re-take the 3 hr glucose tolerance test on 1/25- they didn't even have me re-take the 1 hr since I failed in first tri and want me to go straight to the 3 hr. Next OB appt is 2/1.
Feeling: Tired, and starting to feel big and like I have to waddle everywhere.
Rants/Raves/Randoms:
To Dos: First step in getting the nursery ready for baby is getting DD out of there. We want to have our spare room cleaned out by the end of this month so we can start painting. DH has MLK Jr. day off next Monday and says he's going to get a lot of it done on that day, so we'll see.
QOTW: What is your favorite baby item purchase so far? (Furniture/Outfit/Toy - anything!) My standard Tula, gnome place like home print!
Updates/Appointments: 28 week appt next week. I passed my 1 hour gtt by 5 points so I'm hoping my doc doesn't want me to do the 3 hour.
Feeling: Ok. Nursing is ok, sleeping is ok, eating is sort of ok (still having aversions to protein and veggies, yay). Not looking forward to the 18 mo sleep regression which will probably be immediately followed by newborn sleep.
Rants/Raves/Randoms: Do other office's do the thing where they won't let your anyone come back with you at first so they can ask you if you ever feel unsafe in your relationship? They have gotten serious about this at my doc and it bugs me since I hate having my bp taken and really like to have H with me for that. And then of course they want to schedule the next appointment and no, I don't have his calendar memorized. It sort of makes me seethe but I try to remember that if it helps someone in a DV situation it's worth it (it just doesn't seem like they way they do it would necessarily encourage someone in that situation to open up anyway). Sorry that was long.
To Dos: Find a glider. We didn't have one with the toddler but I really don't want to spend quite that much time on a yoga ball again, and H agrees.
QOTW: What is your favorite baby item purchase so far? (Furniture/Outfit/Toy - anything!) Nothing, ha.

iqeb, my doc's office doesn't do that, but a friend of mine said they'd have him step out of the room at every appointment so they could "ask his wife some questions" for that reason. Stepping out for a few minutes makes more sense than not having him come back at all, I think.
ThankfulSnail, they let him come back after they've done weight, bp, and scheduled the next appointment. So, basically he gets to be there while we wait for the doctor to show up and doppler/measure my belly. I'd much rather they just have him step out for a moment to ask, since especially as we get into 3rd tri I'm afraid that being separated from him while hearing my kid screaming isn't going to make for the most accurate bp reading.
Also good luck with your 3 hour! I hope you at least get to watch some good tv/chill/do nothing productive while you do it!
ThankfulSnailonesweetworld Amateurs I have a sorcery. I also have an equilateral that I rotate through. Now, you need to add a mesh for summer time!
Oh I fully intend on buying all the baby carriers. Just going to space them out over a few months lol.
Lol. I found with SSC's aren't the greatest first thing with littles unless you want to deal with infant inserts. Have you considered a wrap or sling for the newborn phase? I have plenty you could borrow to try out if you were interested. We also have DH's ergo that I hate lol

I would love to try them out when she is here. Rusty the baby orange cat is only so cooperative. He liked the Tula though.

I have a Tula toddler in gray zig zag but wanted a smaller one for this kiddo since DD won't let me wear her. I got mine on sale from Abby's Lane for $126 in November and had to jump on it. I had a super cheap sling when DD was little but I'd like to get a Boba wrap for this baby, just waiting to see if I find a good sale.

We'll have to meet up and I can pass some off for you to try! I have like 5 ring slings lol 😂
Hey I'm here! Though admittedly I've been hanging around M17 a bit more.
EDD/Weeks: 4/1/17 -- 28 weeks, THIRD TRI!
Size: Coconut? WTF these baby size predictors are so weird. Baby is actually 16 inches long, so more like 2 coconuts? Unless they mean like a raw-right-off-the-tree coconut I guess.
Updates/Appointments: Just had my 1 hour glucose test and failed it. I'm wondering if I messed it up by eating too close to the test. Going to go ahead and do the 3 hour and hope I pass.
Feeling: Really good! Some tailbone pain, some fatigue, but overall feeling fine.
Rants/Raves/Randoms: I wish the office would have called me BEFORE my test to give me instructions. I thought they told me at my last appt to just avoid sugar, but now I wonder if they told me to fast a couple hours before the test and my pregnancy brain forgot. Damn.
To Dos: I think I'm mostly caught up on to-dos for now. I need to do hospital bag stuff but want to wait until closer to delivery time to get that arranged. Baby shower is coming up 2nd week of February, so I'm hoping I'll get loaded up on toiletries and extra clothes (we don't have a ton right now).
QOTW: What is your favorite baby item purchase so far? (Furniture/Outfit/Toy - anything!) Probably the "bassinest" we got. We splurged but I think it will be really great for newborn stage.
iqeb My OB office did that on my first appointment, but not on subsequent appointments. They do have a poster with DV information in the bathroom (the bathroom only women use in the back of the office) with a number and instructions on what to do if you're unsafe at home.

EDD/Weeks: April 8/27 + weeks
Size: a lantern?
Updates/Appointments: week after next I have my GD test. Nada until then
Feeling: fine, but oh so tired.
Rants/Raves/Randoms: almost to third tri. I can't believe it!
To Dos: buy a bassinet and a car. Figure out who the hell is going to watch our toddler during labor. Gently remind friend who offered hand me downs and other friend who has my son's old clothes.
QOTW: What is your favorite baby item purchase so far? I scored a cheap rock n play off the parenting list servs. Mostly I'm just proud I didn't get murdered picking it up. I listen to too many true crime podcasts.

EDD/Weeks: 4.15.17 - 26+3 (almost 4)
Size: Butternut Squash
Updates/Appointments: Monday 1/16 (Midwife) Took my 1 hour Glucose test today. I will call tomorrow and ask how long the results typically take.
Feeling: I feel good. The SPD really sucks lately. I'm in the most pain getting in and out of bed. My SI belt is helping when I remember it during the day. M hates the belt and kicks it all day.
Rants/Raves/Randoms: I don't think I have anything here. H and I had sex on Sunday for the first time since Thanksgiving. I snuggled in next to him and M kicked him. That was the first time he felt her move. My cat (laying on me now) has felt the baby kick more than H. He's just not into the pregnancy.
To Dos: Pack my hospital bag. I've started to gather things like extension cord and power strip but I need to figure out which bag I want to use. Should I just use my small rolling carry-on?
QOTW: What is your favorite baby item purchase so far? (Furniture/Outfit/Toy - anything!)
I love the crib. I think that's my favorite. The ducky leggings I just bought her make me so happy though.
@osw I did the 3 hour test with DD, and I believe I got the results right away. They wanted to schedule a follow up right away if I failed. (I passed despite living off homemade rice Krispy treats for 3 weeks lol) Good luck and hope you get good news fast!
Size: an ear of corn, a banana split, a litre of whiskey, a baseball mitt, a cantaloupe. I say pick one, they all seem like different sizes.
Updates/Appointments: appt and glucose test at end of month.
Feeling: Meh. I feel huge, but with 3 months to go, I know it's not over lol.
Rants/Raves/Randoms: MIL is driving me bananas. I cannot wait to move out. It's nice having FIL around, he entertains lo while I get stuff done. The other day, she told me what to make for dinner, sent me to the store (on my dime) to buy the ingredients, then didn't come home until after 10 pm or help with dishes. Turns out, no one knew her dinner plans (or that she told me to make pot roast) and we could have had what WE wanted. Grr.
To Dos: House shopping. Car shopping. I guess our plan is to be broke by the time DD2 is born lol
QOTW: What is your favorite baby item purchase so far? (Furniture/Outfit/Toy - anything!) We haven't bought a thing. Since she will be DD2, and I have a slight hoarding problem , we have most everything. I do want a different rocker/glider this time around, but that's it.
Hey ladies, dropped of the face of the earth for a bit there. We unplugged for the holidays and most things since the New Year have been an absolute hectic shitshow. Should be able to keep up better now.
EDD/Weeks: April 6th, 28 weeks
Size: coconut
Updates/Appointments: Passed the 1 hour glucose. Actually came borderline hypoglycaemic. Kind of funny considering I had to take the 3 hour the first pregnancy. On the negative side my platelets came in under 100 for the first time this pregnancy. I have to have a consult with an OB and an anesthesiologist.
Feeling: Physically good. Could use some more sleep. Trying to stay active and my chiro is keeping me together.
Rants/Raves/Randoms: Little stressed about the platelet situation. They might transfer care away from my midwife and I am not good with that. I just get frustrated because literally no on cares about my normal platelet situation until pregnancy, and then suddenly the sky is falling. Taking it step by step, first I need a better blood test and in the meantime, trying to step up my healthy eating game.
To Dos: Everything? We've picked up a few items here and there but we haven't done much at all. Definitely have to start with the nursery wall. It needs to be patched up and repainted.
QOTW: What is your favorite baby item purchase so far? I did buy a couple cute outfits, to pick from for coming home from the hospital in. We are using most of our previous baby stuff but I did want a couple things that were just the new baby's.
