Just another normal day here. Random question though. Do any of you have a chair small enough for your kids to sit on, and where did you get it? DD2 is really small but she is determined to sit on the kids table chairs like her sister which are way too tall for her yet and fall over (white chair in the pic) when she climbs them. I bought two second hand step 2 chairs yesterday thinking they were totally short enough but they are just as tall as the white chairs. DH is going to try to cut the Step 2 chairs because the white ones are almost antiques but I don't know if they will be stable once they are chopped down. Any leads?

He isn't interested in sitting down yet. We do have a small table with a chair from ikea for our oldest so I think we will go pick up a second chair eventually.
Does anyone do any winter sports with their kids? I really want us to get out and be active even when it's cold. My daughter really wants to try snowshoeing. Do you think I could pull the toddler in a sled while doing this? Baby wearing could be an option too.

Back at work and it sucks.
I asked my boss if I could take bereavement for Friday and he said no. Last time the HR woman let me use bereavement, but our company has since outsourced HR and it's up to my boss. It just stings because it is the loss of my child, but I can see how some don't see it like that. I hate that I have to use what little PTO I have for it.

littleredfish, we have a padded little rocking chair she ADORES, her favorite xmas gift. Every time I give her a little snack cup, she has to run there and eat there LMAO My mom got it at Gordmans but I have seen them at Home Goods.
ldubhawksfan, Oh I am sorry that sucks that is awful.

littleredfish we have a small table and chair set from pottery barn, I think. It's still a little tall for her, but she can pull herself up into it. She falls out sometimes but it's mostly on carpet. She also has a little recliner chair that she loves.

So I'm officially done BFing. It had tapered to just first thing in the AM and just before bedtime while pregnant, and DD was already rejecting my boobs and pointing to the supplementing bottle at bedtime. The d&c was just too much and I stopped cold turkey because I forgot to ask about the anesthesia or drugs while BFing. My boobs are so small and sad now!! 😢

Hi everyone-
littleredfish- we have a small table and chair set from kid kraft that has 4 chairs. My 3yo sits in it and so does C, comfortably. That's for play. They also have the PBK anywhere chairs for the living room, but honestly, they don't give a crap about sitting on those. :/

So I'm in weaning hell and I'm sorry, but you ladies are going to hear about it until I'm finally on the other side.
Last 2 weeks, we were working on getting down to one session/day. I thought things were going well and by the end of the work week, I was having no clogged ducts. So wtf today to a huge, clogged chunk in one and a smaller clog in the other boob 😣 I just popped some lecithin.
yummeecookee, that sucks! Massage massage massage! I'm scared to wean.
Not much here. E basically screamed all through dinner and while playing after. Not an upset scream, just high-pitched noise-making. My ears...my ears...
My pregnant friend got her genetic testing stuff back and everything was clear! I'm so excited for her She and her H have been trying for years and years with no success, and they haven't had success with adopting, either (nothing wrong with them, our system is screwed and it's impossible to get a baby-baby, which was really their preference) so I am so happy to watch her go through this journey after we both struggled together.

So we tried cutting it and we MIGHT have success. It's still a LITTLE tall but manageable. Now I just need to put a rug skid thing on it or something because she keeps sliding off Poor tiny peanut.

Now mind you I EP'd, but going from 2 sessions to 1 and then to none went faster than I was prepared for (my body decided that) and when it became clear that I could do 2 or none, sudafed really really helped. I don't remember if it's BF friendly- I pumped and dumped because of a lipase issue at that point. Good luck!

ldubhawksfan I'm so angry for you. I just shared a brief overview of your story with my H who agrees that is SO WRONG. It is absolutely the loss of a child and you should be able to grieve as you see fit.
colinsfebmommy sorry for not being clear. E has a peanut allergy. She had a little virus before the holidays and afterwards I was trying to get her to eat. We ended up with this after a dime sized spread on a Ritz :
So I administered Zyrtec at our peds recc and it cleared up right away. Last Fri was our appt with Allergy & Asthma. After 5 min it was pretty clear she has an allergy :

Only indoor sports here. It's too cold, lady!
Too cold?
It was -33 here yesterday with the wind chill. It's only going to be -7 Celsius tomorrow, which means I can go outside. On the weekend we have a high of +2 Cel (That's like 35 F for my American friends)...which means I can go jogging in shorts, lol. But seriously, I am really looking forward to that +2 and I'm doing something outside this weekend.
sunfrogger88, OMG poor baby thank god you found out now and nothing more serious happened! Poor kid.
First time having nut anything or no?
No! She had had it before. My H and I do not have food allergies. The allergist was shocked considering all the new research that just came out about exposing your kids. FFS.. I ate a whole batch of peanut butter cookies when I was 38wks pregnant. She's been exposed.

We're in the same boat. We gave the kids PB at 6m and W reacted at 13m. No food allergies on either side of the family even!

Hugs! Its so random! Do you have to take W for blood work? Our allergist asked us to do we can determine if it's one she'll outgrow. (Fx!)

Her reaction was pretty mild and my pediatrician is pretty blasé about it. She said unless her diet is becoming restricted by allergies then she would prefer to just wait until 3- I was told they won't do a skin test until 3 anyway, and that blood wouldn't be conclusive
