@kitchen I am so sorry about the house woes. We are dealing with some stuff right now too and it's such a pain in the ass.
We had a contractor come out today to evaluate all the effing water damage we have in our house. Part of our hardwoods are buckling and ruined, we have water damage in our walls from pipes leaking. We have mold in our crawl space which happens to be accessed via our bedroom. We are going to try and get as much covered thru insurance as possible but I have a feeling we are in for a fight.
@kitchen. You're not being unreasonable. You should expect things to operate as they did before the pump replacement. I wish I had a idea of why it's so loud, other than it's just a loud pump.
My ILs have a very loud sump pump. The pump motor is loud, you can hear the water flowing through the pipes, and the pipe isn't well supported so it rattles. I get how annoying it can be.
Sorry about the windows. New or old windows? Is it something under warranty?
Omg @kitchen. I do not think it is unreasonable to expect conditions (like noise level) of a new product to be atleast the same if not better than the old product. And just the fact that there has already been one problem/mistake from their guys would lead me to suspect that it is another problem/mistake on their end. I mean can you get someone else to look and take this company to a small claims court or something if it does turn out to be a mistake? I know, yeah, like we all have time and energy for that. And the windows, ugh. I hope that doesn't turn into a huge thing
becole the other thing I've heard to do is have whoever is giving the bottle have one of your shirts that you've worn recently near and touching LO so they have your scent. And then I've heard to try at different levels of hunger. Before signs of hunger, first signs of hunger, wait til they're starving. See if any one of those is the ideal time they'll give in and take it.
ksyknelvr73 so sorry to hear about all your house damage too! I hope insurance covers it. When will you find out? Hopefully soon!
We haven't officially called insurance yet because the contractor we are working with is going to be out of town over the next couple weeks and I want him to be there when they send out their adjuster. We are planning to call and get them out at the end of this month.
