I'm working on my day off, I'm super tired, and my morning started like this:
DD: "where is my backpack?" Me: "on the counter" DD: "MOOOOOOM. Why are you answering me? I'm talking to myself I'm not even talking to you!" Me: ........... 🙄🙄🙄

Take DS1 to school, swimming lessons for L, take the car in for service, grocery shopping, try to find snowshoes for DS1, home for dinner, swimming lessons for DS1.
Yesterday it came about that we might be going away for the weekend, so I've got to start figuring that out.

Currently pumping at work. I got all the way down to the pumping room when I realized that I left all my bottles at my desk! Ugh, so my pumping time will be cut short today because I had to go back up and get them.
S keeps waking up when I wake up in the morning. I don't mind talking care of him but I wish he would get some more sleep since I know he doesn't sleep much at DC.
Um, so either I'm dumb or I was given bad info, but I am supposed to work Thursday night, not last night. I got there and no one was there. Ugh. Meanwhile at home, DD1 clogged the toilet and Baby R screamed inconsolably while DH searched for the plunger, then it took her a long time to calm down. I felt bad for DH. I'm surprised he's letting me leave again lol. She did take 1oz from a bottle though!

I just realized I left mine at home...explody boobs for me today :/ I last fed him at 4am one side

I forgot my extra bottles yesterday, so I had nothing to store it in! I grabbed a bottle of water from the break room, emptied it and used that to store the milk in.
I also bought a lansinoh manual pump that stays in my desk when I totally screw up and leave pump parts home. I would wind up with mastitis in heartbeat if I didn't pump at work!
I'm about to pull the trigger on buying plane tickets and renting a car to go to FL to visit my grandparents with both boys. My mom will come with us, but H has to stay home because he doesn't have off the long weekend we want to go.
I've never had an issue with flying before...but the thought of having the boys on a plan fills me with anxiety.

I'm flying from CA to FL in a couple weeks with both boys by myself. I'm pretending like it's not happening bc it gives me so much anxiety when I really think about the details. But at least you'll have your mom so that will be huge. We (H included) flew at Thanksgiving across the country, and while it wasn't enjoyable, it was fine.
It's been snowing here for over 12 hours, it's beautiful outside! I haven't seen this kind of snow since we lived in CT, which means H's hours will probably be cut for the next couple days and the city will be shut down forever.

L was a champ at swimming! He put his face in the water a couple of times and loved when I slid him on the slide. Now he's a tired, hungry, cranky mess! Ha ha.

The baby slept so much better last night. He was still up 4 times but that's practically half of seven times from the night before. I'll take it!
I've already got laundry washed and folded (but not put away. I'm not a rockstar) and baby nap in the carrier and DD playing with her toys and not whining for tv all morning. It's a totally regular day but I'm so glad. Our schedules were falling apart hard around here. I was afraid we'd never recover.
My plan is to attack some disaster areas in my house and think of something easy and different for ground beef. Any ground beef ideas? I feel I'm always making spaghetti and meatloaf because DD likes them. I look on Pinterest and things are either gross canned soup casseroles or things my kid will refuse.
cabbagecabbage does your DD like tacos? Last night I made this skillet taco thing for the first time and it was really good. Ground beef, two zucchini, two bell peppers, half an onion all diced up and cooked together in a skillet, then add a packet of low sodium taco seasoning and a can of Rotel. We had it over lettuce but it would also be good over rice. It was tasty and packed with veggies which is always a plus!

cabbagecabbage yay for better sleep! With ground beef I would suggest tacos, lasagna, or sloppy joes. Once I did a Pinterest recipe for crockpot cheeseburgers that turned out pretty well.

cabbagecabbage, I like to make chili with ground beef. I don't know if your DD is averse to spice, but you can make it as mild as you want. I just brown it with some peppers and onion, then add chili powder, paprika, oregano, cumin, and cayenne pepper (use sparingly if avoiding spice), salt, and black pepper, and some arrowroot powder to make saucy (you can use cornstarch too). Then add a can each of drained black, pinto, and kidney beans, plus a jar of salsa and half a beer (drink the other half for sure). So good, especially on cold days!

We are flying to Portland next month and I'm shitting bricks about it. I'm a very seasoned flyer but now I'm feeling some extreme anxiety! Some of it brought on by MH, who is SO anxious when A so much as whimpers in public, so now he's losing it worried about A crying on the plane. I'm also just in denial and will let it sneak up on me.
cabbagecabbage do you like cabbage? ☺️ This is my plan for dinner: www.budgetbytes.com/2016/08/beef-cabbage-stir-fry/ though I'm making it easier and got bagged coleslaw mix. I don't have time for all that chopping! My 2.5 year old probably won't eat it, but I have some leftover rice and I'll keep some of the beef aside to mix with that to offer her.

Thanks, guys. I will totally try out the cabbage stir fry soon @comicsans because I love cabbage (see screen name). I should have mentioned my H hates chili, although he tolerates my veggie chili sometimes, and I'm making tacos tomorrow from leftover pot roast. mcktymck I've added zucchini to tacos before but it's been a while. I should totally do that soon in a small dice to get some extra veggies in DD's belly. Good ideas all around!
madamewaffles, your chili recipe soups good. I'll have to try it sometime with beer and salsa in the mix.
So my day started out *shitty*. I walked into HK's room to a overwhelmingly pungent smell of poo. Her back was facing me and when I turned on the light to see what was going on, literally her entire back, under her arms, and up her neck was the world's largest blowout. This would of course be the morning the DH had to go in early to work for a meeting so I was left to scramble. Needless to say she got a full blown bath.
Sadly, the pajamas didn't make it. To the trash (outside) they went and I am debating on whether to do the same with the sheet that is currently residing in my garage.
On the bright side - my day has otherwise been good LOL.

Sam's cutting a tooth! At least it looks like there's a tiny part poking out from his gum? Idk I'm bad at this game, it's hard getting a good view of his mouth when he's trying to suck on yours or his fingers lol
madamewaffles what are you coming to my neck of the woods for? If you're looking for any tips or things to do, let me know!
My Great grandma's 100th birthday! My mom and grandpa are coming with too. G-grandma has not met A either, so thought it would be perfect for a 5 generation picture! We really only have 1 free day (short trip!) so any and all quickie attraction trips are appreciated!
cabbagecabbage OH, I forgot about my all time favorite thing to do with ground beef, Korean beef! So easy and SO good, we used to eat it a couple times a week for a while there.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef, 1/4 cup soy sauce, 1/4-1/2 cups brown sugar (I always do 1/2 cup), sesame oil, couple cloves of minced garlic, crushed red pepper flakes (a dash for flavor, more for taste, I always do several shakes).
Heat 2 tbs sesame oil, add garlic and beef and cook until meat is browned and broken up. Drain. Put back in pan, add soy sauce, brown sugar and crushed red pepper flakes, stir to combine and cook over low heat for a few minutes. I serve it over rice with broccoli and green onion on top.
madamewaffles 100th birthday, wow! That will be a great trip! I will think about it and get back to you with some fun ideas

I know you're all waiting to know what we had for dinner. I made patty melts with sautéed onions and peppers and cauliflower tots. DD even ate a patty melt without the veggies when I called it a grilled cheese with meat. And she ate three cauliflower tots and about a cup of ketchup.
