hikingmama222 I asked my doc about the exersaucer and jumper and she said not until 4-6 months and they're feet need to be touching the floor or it can create issues with their hips.

Hmmm. His feet do touch. DD had such good head control at 2 months we started her in the jolly jumper then. She has no issues. Do what you feel comfortable with. I'll admit I don't ask my doc anything...

She even commented he had good head control and I said I would prop his feet up and put a towel to support his torso and she still was like no. I know I had my first in it by now.
Anyone elses baby trying to sit up yet? The last few days if he's flat, he makes a canoe with his body and tries to sit up.i pull him up with his arms and he smiles. I put him in the boppy today. He likes that. I wish I could put him in the exercauser.
Oh yeah. He definitely doesn't like to be laying, whether it's back or tummy. I've tried him in the Bumbo and he does ok for a few minutes. His head control isn't super great yet. (See: doesn't like tummy time)
Yes, DS totally tries to sit up, mostly if you lay him down on your lap. He is okay laying on the floor, but if he's on you, he wants to be sitting upright and will pull himself forward.
LO definitely looks like she's trying to do crunches to sit up. And sometimes when she's propped on the boppy and I hold her hands, she'll pull up and be so happy about it. We just started putting her in the sit me up froggy seat and she mostly likes it.
Yeah. Today he didn't even try to latch. Just got mad.
It took weeks to get DS1 to take the bottle. We ended up waking him up with it and that's what did it. We let him nap for a bit, then just started giving him the bottle and in his sleepy state, he took it. It got much better from then on.
It's so stressful. I hope he figures it out for you soon.
What did you do in the mean time, just let him figure it out? Give extra at home? Wake to feed at night? Just trying to prepare.
We are potty training over here. I'd rather do it with MH's help but DS is very interested in potty right now and I didn't want to squash his interest. DD is finally letting my parents hold her without crying. She is 14/15 (?? I don't remember) weeks old and she is just now starting to not be such a mamas girl!

So MH came home from work this morning and decided we're going to try to get N on the potty today. Although he hasn't actually gone yet, he has sat every time we put him on it with little to no fighting. That is a big step forward for him. We'll see how tomorrow goes. G and I have spent a good chunk of the day snuggling. I sat him on my lap earlier, and he was trying to pull himself up to sitting. We also have not had the tv on all day, which was pretty nice.
Thanks for asking!! I think it is teeth related or she was dressed too warm last night. Woke up perfectly normal this morning but has been sort of fussy and extra drooly today. My husband has strep though (lucky us) so I hope neither of the kids get it!
