We have no plans at all today! First day a over a week that we don't have something. Going to do some cleaning and organizing around the house. Switching out DS'S 3 month clothes for 6 months. He's got a lot of 6 month outfits so might not keep them all and go exchange them. For a bigger size.

I'm so sore from my workout yesterday and I'm still laying in bed!

DS slept a bit better last night. A 4.5hr stretch followed for wakeups every 2 hours. I gave him an extra ounce of pumped milk before bed. Boobs feel fuller this morning after all the water, Gatorade and extra calories I ate last night.

It rained last night and then the temperatures dropped pretty significantly, so roads were icy this morning. All the locals schools are closed. I took the kids to daycare and the drive there wasn't too bad, but 20 minutes later the drive home was a little tenuous.

I'm on call for work, but it doesn't look promising.

Sleep last night was horrible for me. DS2 ate and went to bed around 9 and then was back up by 11. Fed him and then he was kind of restless going back in his crib. I finally fell asleep then woke around 2 to him being restless and fidgety again. He whined a few times, so I got up and got things together for a bottle. Then DS1 started coughing and yelled out for me. I think he was half asleep though, because he never called for me after that or came out of his room. I did panic for a minute thinking, "What do I do if they BOTH wake up???" Fell back asleep after 3, then DS1 came out of his room at 5:20 saying he needed to go to work. Back to bed for him, which he was super happy about. I ended up getting up for the day at 6. DS2 up at 6:30 and DS1 followed at 7. I need a nap.

It is going to be in the mid 60s here today--I love it! Of course it will be icy on Saturday, but we're not there yet.

Sleep was a little better last night, but definitely not as good as it was a few weeks ago.

jwinct I decided to sign up for Weight Watchers this morning. Not excited to give up cookies, but I needed to do something.

I need to go grocery shopping big time. I started tracking on Monday and I really don't have many low point snacks, so I end up being kind of hungry during the day because I have nothing to snack on. We ran out of apples, grapes and bananas and I desperately need to stock back up!

My husband had to bring his truck to get fixed (a bracket broke and the muffler fell off), so he's sitting in the waiting area at the repair shop. He just texted me and said there are two guys talking about yesterday's Trump press conference; one guy is a supporter and the other guy hates him. The supporter just said that Trump is finally going to tell the real story of what happened on 9/11, because what the government told us is a lie and the 2nd plane was really a hologram. He said it took everything not to burst out laughing.

And when the ACA is repealed, this guy is no longer going to have healthcare coverage for his psychiatrist. And he probably doesn't even realize that the ACA is "Obamacare."

These are the people who voted for Trump. Scary stuff.

Preschool drop off number 2 is in the books. She whined a bit at home and in the car about going but just was very positive and very firm about her going. She went in with no tears again.
I went to the bank and opened an account for LO. Now I'm nursing her in the target parking lot. I gotta pick up 3 boxes of diapers I ordered online. I'm gonna wear her and get a shopping cart. Hoping it goes smoothly.

On vacation the baby slept 9-6 one night and last night he slept 9-5:30. Ahmazing. I was getting two hours out of him and then boom- he dropped most of them.

I was feeding DS2 when 1.0 got up. He came into his brother's room and we had the following exchange...
Me: "We need to do your treatment and get dressed."
DS1: "Is it a school day?"
Me: "Yes it is"
DS1: "Uggggghhhh. I don't WANNA go to school."
Me: "Well that's too bad because you're going."
:::::10 minutes later, yelling to me from the living room::::::;
DS1: "Mom. MOM! Are we going yet? My friends are waiting for me!!"

Yes, son. Tell me more about how you don't want to go to school. I love this song and dance every single day. 🙄😐

Baby refused to take the nurser today. I don't think it's the bottle type but I have no one else to try a bottle and he's not having it with H in the evening.
I did pump way better with my manual this morning so that sucks because I need to pump with my regular Medela. I may take my pump to be checked out and if it's no good, I'll get a replacement under warranty.

I have tomorrow off - it's some random confederate holiday in Virginia. I am dropping the kids off at school and going to massage in the morning. I'm going to hit the gym as well - actually, maybe I'll drop the kids off, gym, and then massage. DH got pulled in by the higher-ups so he'll be working all weekend, including MLK day so I'm single parenting. We're also in week one of potty training for DD so I imagine most of the weekend will be spent at home. She (finally) pooped in the potty last night - she had been holding it since Sunday so I'm so proud of her!

I really wanted to try and make time for my mental health this year. I want to see a counselor/therapist about a few relationships I have - I looked at my co-pay - $60/session! WTF?! I can't wait until enrollment so I can switch back to co-insurance - paying 10% of something has been so much cheaper than straight co-payments. Guess I'll be putting that off until July. Grrr.

So V was a complete toddler nightmare last night. Threw food on the floor, screamed the entire time during her bath, and then for at least 30 minutes in her room after bedtime. Then I took her to get donuts this morning just me and her to give her some one on one mommy time. Donuts were fine but I was rewarded with her screaming bloody murder and begging me not to leave her at daycare. This whole combo of new sibling plus terrible twos is killing me.

On the other hand, C woke up right after I left and let H hold her off for an hour with minimal complaining until I came home to feed her. It's amazing how less desperate babies are for milk when mommy isn't around. I'm just glad she didn't torture him. His memories of alone time with V at this age are not good.

At work today because the new boss lady has her first day in office. Since I missed each of her visits during maternity leave, I am glad to see she is more casual than I would have assumed after her interview. It will hopefully keep up with the current culture we have been nourishing in this department.

I keep having issues finding time to pump at work...

I've been so productive and LO has been so good. I can't believe I get this time every Tuesday and thursday. It's definitely picking me up out of the dark hole I dug myself into in December. I'm hoping the honeymoon phase is not too far off from reality.

I finally feel pretty settled back at work (day 4). This week does seem to be lasting forever though.

DD slept from 8:00-6:30 which was awesome. She was in a great mood, very happy and smiling, until I handed her off at daycare. She looked at me and burst into tears!!!! How does a 3 month old even know to do that?? I felt AWFUL and I almost cried. I know she will be fine but that was a bit of a gut punch.

Really looking forward to being off next Monday, and then working from home next Friday so I can have a little more time with DD. It just sucks going from like 9-10 hours a day just me and her to maybe 2 hours a day and I have to share my time with her and the boys.

I think it's selfish, controlling, and petty AF to insist that your partner get rid of pictures of their ex and their time together. If they want to, of their own accord, get rid of things like that, then by all means. But to do it because their SO insisted on it or required it? Nope. I mean, yeah, probably don't keep inappropriate pictures and things, but I feel like that's a different story.

H and I were both in relationships, including a long term committed one, prior to dating. If he would have insisted I get rid of all other BF's pics, I would have laughed in his face. That's representative of a certain time in my life, I'm not going to pretend like it never happened. And I don't expect him to either.

So I ordered C's birth certificate online rather than go downtown and get it in person since I'm not on a time crunch. I ordered it Monday and it said 15 business days. It arrived today. I am quite amazed by the state of texas's efficiency

Anyone elses baby trying to sit up yet? The last few days if he's flat, he makes a canoe with his body and tries to sit up.i pull him up with his arms and he smiles.
I put him in the boppy today. He likes that. I wish I could put him in the exercauser.

becole DS loves to sit and stand. So he's often in the Bumbo or jolly jumper. I do put him in the exercauser but he just stands there.

Don't mind the mess, and DH was right in front of him.

Yes - H tries that too. I'm going to put him in this frog chair thing we have at home tonight and see how he does.
