I was 20 minutes late to work this morning thanks to an "icy sleet mix" so I'll be eating lunch at my desk. But I'll be able to get out on time so I'm willing to make the sacrifice;)

I'm sitting in my car late for a work meeting in the field because my car won't start. Waiting to see if FIL can come help. I've never had car trouble before so I'm feeling pretty useless in this situation. Ugh.
I'm taking Monday off next week, so just trying to hustle and get as much done as possible at work before an extra long weekend for me! I've been really struggling trying to stay focused at work lately, I need to work on that.
Morning! Yucky rainy, supposed to turn into a fun icy mix later tonight into tomorrow morning. I have all the other offices messaging me to see if we're closing tomorrow. #1-I'm not the owner, I can't make that decision. #2-Nothing has happened yet. If the temp doesn't drop as much as they are predicting, it's only going to be rain. #3-I hate winter!
It's a gross mix of rain, snow and ice here. Winter can be over now. I wish I didn't have to go out, but I have my pp appointment this afternoon. I also need to find snow pants somewhere because H and I are going tubing this weekend for our anniversary. He planned the activity and I planned dinner. Our plans don't mesh very well! Dinner is at a fancy new restaurant downtown and he choose to go tubing! Oh well, I'm just excited to get out of the house with no kids!
Last day in my current job! Crazy. I've been with this group for 8.5 years, it's going to be weird coming in to work on Monday!
That also means I need to get as much done on this desk as possible today so that I don't have to come back too often. They probably won't have a new person in this position for another month and then I'll have to train them, so it's inevitable but I'm hoping to get as much done as I possibly can now so I don't have to work super long days for the next month.
I'm so glad it's Thursday though and I don't have work tomorrow, wahoo!

michyme123, -40 today here too, and the roads are terrible. Regardless, I'm venturing out to bring DD1 to preschool because spending so much time in the house this week is making us all go crazy.
MIL is coming over tonight and planning to stay for dinner. We have one tiny pan, a pot, and a spatula and everything else is packed. What on earth am I going to feed her? The girls and I have been living on raw veggies and grilled cheese haha.
Morning, everyone. A kid threw up on the floor at DS's school yesterday so I'm on edge to see if the bug hits him. I had H scrub him head to toe as soon as they got home, even though that probably did nothing. Send all good vibes my way that it misses us.

Everytime DS tells me that someone threw up at school, I cringe inside. Fx it misses you guys!
At home this morning with lo he seems much better though and knock on wood hasn't thrown up since noon yesterday hopefully he can go to daycare tomorrow. It's also cols here, not as cold as others are getting but still pretty cold.

Definitely. He went back again today and I cringed as I entered the parking lot. I kinda wish I could have kept him home because I'm sure there are germs still lingering. Oh well, such is life.

Takeout? Or have her bring the food Assuming she isn't too crazy, I'm sure she'll understand.

Just met with my moms friend who is a professional organizer and I'm feeling so much better now!! MIL is still here she's been here over a week and was supposed to leave three days ago. She moves to Pittsburgh in a little over a week. Yay me.
It was -44 when I was packing up for preschool so you know, it's warmed up since yesterday morning hurrah?
michyme123 yuck we had all that wind last night, it shut a bunch of traffic down. We were at my grandma's and luckily got home before the worst of it hit!
My dad couldn't come in to watch DD today so she got to be a special guest at preschool this morning as it was my parent helper day! DS told his teacher she gets to go to preschool because she's a big girl now haha. He always gets so proud when it's my parent helper day and I think it was extra special for him that his sister could be there too. At snack time he came over to her and checked out her food and made sure she was doing ok lol.
But sugarkissed, michyme123 I see a huge break in the weather still forecast for this weekend! At least I assume it will start west of me and head east for your sakes. I can't wait to breathe fresh air again lol!!
Day 2 of swim lessons went sooooo much better than day 1. The only time we cried today was went we had to go under/get our face wet. Getting ready to paint an apron for MILs birthday present from C. (Wish me luck it turns out the way I'm hoping.)
