Not much going on here this weekend. Guys have a pamper party for a friend this afternoon so my friend and I are going shopping for the baby shower we are throwing on our end.

No advice on the clawing but I commiserate. L is super wiggly when he eats unless he's tired. Though I don't experience it as much now that I'm back to work.
I need to scour the earth today for 12 month fleece footed jammies. It's like there was a hole that opened up and swallowed them all. I can find plenty in literally every other size. L outgrew 9 month this week and poor thing only has 2 pair of 12 month that I can find so far. I live in MN so he will need fleece for another 2 months at least. I am hoping the stores I check out today will have some. At this rate I'll need 18 month (that's the next size right?) ones too before winter is over. lol.
If he grows at this rate his whole life, I'm going to need a savings account for his food intake as a teenager. My brother is 6'6 and 240 lbs and I'm wondering if L got it from him lol.

willow L grew like that until he was around 3 years old then he slowed down, or I guess just started growing at a more paced rate. He is still on track to be over 6 feet tall but (at least for a little while) we are out of the stage where we have to buy new clothes and shoes every 2-3 months.

We went grocery shopping and got S a jumperoo. S loves to jump! There was only one available between like 8 different stores and one consignment shop. I guess they are still sold out from Christmas shoppers...
Today has been L's first day on the ADHD medicine and it's interesting. He is like a slightly more mellowed out version of himself. He was so much better in the stores and his behavior and attention is a lot better. I do hate that he isn't hungry at all. He had a pretty big breakfast but hasn't really eaten since then.

How old is your LO?
We have to set minimums for my L. It sucks cuz we basically force him to eat a bit but he is old enough to understands that his body is hungry even if he can't feel it. However he makes up a lot of calories once the meds wear off at night and he has his big "second supper" then

Ray L just turned 7. It's hard for him (and us) because he doesn't really eat much normally, especially in the morning. There will occasionally be a day where he seems ravenous but those are very few and far between. Last night we made sure he ate as much as he wanted before bed which really wasn't much more than he usually has. This morning I had to sit with him and make sure he ate something for breakfast before his medicine kicked in. He drank one of those Carnation chocolate milks, had a chicken sandwich, and 2 mandarin oranges.
I think it's just going to be really important for us to combine lunch calories into breakfast and dinner and just make sure he gets used to having a big breakfast because right now he isn't used to that. School days are going to be tough... I am not sure about their policy on lunch but I don't want him to be forced to get food if he isn't hungry and it will just go in the trash... plus that's $3 a day that would just be money in the trash. I may start packing his lunch again and just pack some juice and something small like cheese and crackers.
Iced in Day #2 with two kids and a husband with a man cold.
The baby is now clawing my face while she nurses. Holding her hand now makes her scream. Anyone figured out how to deal with this? Motorcycle helmet?
I got two teething necklaces (the kind mommy wears) for Christmas. They seem to help. She twists her hands around the necklace instead of clawing my chest/chin/mouth.SaveSave
sarcaztic10 my kids who are having similar appetite issues get packed lunches everyday for that exact reason.
I know it's a silly thing to suggest, but is he on a multivitamin? If he's not, definitely get that started.
I also have asked parents so send in a few snacks to keep in the class, and the student knows if he's hungry at a random time he is always allowed to have one.

The one I ordered just got delivered yesterday. He loves it, but I love it more. 😗
