What are your kids favorite foods? I'm having a really hard time getting J to eat. She has started losing weight. Also any tricks to get them to drink? She is obsessed with spitting all of her water out, either on the the table/floor, or into something else and then she pours it onto herself *insert eyeroll*

C has definitely grown pickier lately. Sometimes pouches are the only veggies she will accept:(
She really likes things she can pick apart- tacos, sandwiches, mini burgers, pizza, mac n cheese w/ chopped up broccoli, stir fry (rice, chicken, veggies), peanut butter toast.
Favorite snacks are cheese sticks, yogurt, fruit, (blueberries, bananas, strawberries are faves) goldfish, yogurt raisins, cereal bars, and yogurt melts.
I'll be following, I would love more snack ideas that are portable in the diaper bag.

We've had that problem here too on and off, it goes in spurts. Also spitting any and all liquids is FUN mom! You're such a buzzkill!
Seriously though C gained 6 ounces in 6 months. Her dr wasn't concerned because she's super active and had a huge growth spurt. She has her favorite items and she will eat the same damn thing every day for weeks. I try something new at least once a week and sometimes it's a hit and goes in to rotation like steamed carrot sticks and sometimes it ends up all over the floor.
Some favorites are avocado, cheese sticks, chicken nuggets, tacos, waffles, most fruit, go gurt, peas, steamed carrot sticks, pizza(pepperoni), graham crackers.
ETA: after reading sabrinaml post I wanted to add that we have been "hiding" food as well. She stuffs the things she doesn't want to eat next to her in her chair.
We are also having this issue. If it's in his plate and he doesn't like/want it, he either throws it on mom or dad's plate, the floor or the table. Foods that are a guarantee he will eat: hot dogs, lunch meat, avocados, gerber ravioli, blueberries, raspberries, grapes, re fried beans, cheese sticks, Honey Nut Cheerios, pizza, chicken noodle soup (though the chicken is hit or miss) It is a struggle to get him to eat any veggies and most meat (hamburger, chicken, pork) I've tried dipping sauce- he won't eat it. He did actually eat a little bit of his roast from our Mississippi roast dinner last night (refused the day before though) H and I are to the point that we are done with making a second meal for Cole. I just make sure there are 2 things on his plate he actually likes and no more "somes" (snacks after 5:45. We don't eat dinner until 7:15 most nights. Earlier on Sat and Sun.) ETA: I forgot tuna fish. Kid loves tuna (mixed with a little mayo and mustard, dash of pepper.) he can eat a whole can by himself. Not sure why I quoted myself. But I deleted it.
For morning and afternoon snack time I usually do this:
Plate of cut up veggies (carrot sticks, cucumber stick, sweet snap peas or broccoli heads) with ranch and hummus dip.
Plate of cut up fruit. Apple slices (sometimes w peanut butter sometimes w cinnamon sprinkled on top) orange slices, grapes, watermelon slices. Mango cubes. Avocado slices. Or any fruit.
Cubes of cheese. Tortilla chips with guacamole.
For dinner we just do what we are eating unless it's spicy then we cook them a simplified version.
. Also agree dipping sauce is key. It makes eating fun If she likes milkshakes try whole milk yogurt with a little honey added so it's healthier
For dessert or after lunch snack she loves frozen blueberries she will eat cups of them even in the winter

@mramonogrammed, she is over pouches right now 😭 every time I give her one, she stomps it. @jemomma she is a huge fan of dipping and a lot of times lunch is 5 French fries, half a chicken nugget, and a cup of ranch.
The one thing I have been doing lately, which is probably teaching a horrible habit but I don't really care right now(FFSC?) I make something and pretend to eat it and that it's something I really want. If I do that it's a 100% she will eat the entire thing. On days we can't get her to eat anything we give her a milkshake but I just got stuff yesterday to make smoothies so hopefully she'll like those as well and she can get something a little more healthy in her.
-Chicken nuggets with dipping sauces -lunch meat on a plate -Simple sandwiches cut in 4 so they are easy for her to pick up. Peanut butter and jelly or turkey with mayo or tuna salad. -corn cheese tortillas with side dipping sauce of guacamole or beans. -teriyaki chicken legs with plain rice -
Also steamed corn on cob is a big hit. She eats it right off cob and it's fun for her to eat by herself.
Both my kids also right now love sushi seaweed paper so I buy it in sheets and cut it in rectangles for them.

We're really hit or missed as with eating here too - he'll go crazy for something one week and then won't touch it for a month (like bananas is our current won't touch). We also do a lot of exaggerated bites ourselves, and the W will normally put a big forkful in and go "nom" or "yum." I've been making a lot of pasta or rice dishes where I just mix the veggies and meat in with the rice/noodles, and that helps at least get some veggies in, though a lot of times he'll still just pick out the meat eventually.
What DS tends to eat a lot of - frozen waffles, chicken fingers or nuggets, fruit, Cheerios, soup (another easier way to get veggies in I've found), grilled cheese, and now that he has almost all his teeth, he's been doing really well with raw veggies like carrot or celery sticks - I think he likes the crunch.
I had actually just been thinking I might let him "help" me make smoothies this afternoon for snack time.

J isnt picky in general (about food that is, she's picky as hell about every single other thing in life!) but when she goes through a picky period, we've got a few staples: -toast or bagel thins spread with cream cheese, hummus or avocado, or peanut or almond butter -strawberries and/or blueberries -chicken -cheese -broccoli

DD has suddenly become a picky eater too- enough so that I brought it up at the pedi the other day. In general, though, she LOVES cheese. I think she'd eat her weight in it if I let her.
I'm sure this is probably not a great idea, but I've been offering her different foods with cheese somehow incorporated. For example, I let her watch me sprinkle literally 3 shreds of cheese into her eggs the other morning, and she ate every bite. So, basically, if she has a few foods she will eat, maybe try to incorporate those into other foods to widen her food choices a bit.
My kids loooove frozen fruit. I can just fill a bowl up of whatever we have and it's like the greatest treat lol.
DD is often obsessed with ham. Ham is actually in her vocabulary because she loves it so much. Sometimes in the morning if we can't get her to eat anything else we can pull out whatever leftover meat we had from supper the night before and she's perfectly happy with that as breakfast, lol. She's all about the protein I guess haha.
Sometimes just switching up crackers is enough of a change for a snack. But DD isn't much into crackers/bread as much as her brother.
Pickles are another random thing that they go through phases of wanting to eat all the time.
Just some random suggestions anyway. Neither of my kids are particularly picky eaters, but do go through lots of phases on how much they'll eat at a time. Or which food group they'll each focus on always changes too.
LO is picky in general, but she's gained an average of a lb per month since turning one, so pickiness isn't holding her back.
She loves ketchup and everything she can dip in it. I think this is why she likes chicken nuggets! I usually get her to eat one nugget (unless it's chick fil a and she eats all of those).
Breakfast is a grain (mini waffles or pancakes or toast) with fresh fruit (she loves bananas, berries, mandarins, and apple slices). She has been having a pouch, too.
She has been skipping lunch so I do a cheese stick or slice with fruit for a "lunch/snack" usually.
Other snacks she loves are earths best cereal bars (they sell them in the baby food aisle), hummus (usually with pretzels), peanut butter and cheese crackers (I buy whole grain) or ritz bits, dry cereal (kix or Cheerios), goldfish/cheddar bunnies/graham bunnies & still puffs.
I typically serve her what we're eating unless it's something I know she won't like (she doesn't like meat). We do Mac and cheese, cheese quesadillas, English muffin pizzas, grilled cheese, or chicken nuggets. She loves pasta, especially spaghetti. The only veggie we've gotten her to eat is broccoli and I think it was because we made a huge deal out of how yummy it was.
My kid is probably the only one who hates mashed potatoes. I cannot get her to eat them.

C hates mashed potatoes as well. Actually almost any potato. Occasionally I can get him to eat a tater tot or French fry.

W will eat French fries, and that's the only potato - hash browns, mashed potatoes, tater tots... all other forms of potato get rejected. If he didn't look so much like me, I'd wonder if he's really mine. He also has been spitting out cheese lately.
+1 for dipping sauces Anything with a spoon like applesauce, yogurt, fruit cups Cereal Chicken nuggets, meatballs Mac n cheese, ravioli Cheese
I try use limited amounts of foods that he will always eat to get him to start eating then try to get him to switchover to something healthier or more filling. Nothing wrong with eating what you want your LO to eat or for me sibling food envy as well
Yeah, come to think of it, LO doesn't like French fries. Haven't tried toys. She does like sweet potato fries! I bake them for her.
There's a line of frozen foods called KidFresh (I think?) and they have hidden veggies in their food. The stats on them are pretty good nutritionally, too.

I've been giving Jules strawberries and blueberries the past few days, as they are some of the only things she will eat. Well today she has decided she doesn't like blue berries she's putting them in her mouth then spitting them out on the floor. Thank god for my dogs.
