She's saying if her kid has been consistently sleeping 8-4 and then gets up at 2, would you feed at 2?
I would because my baby has been waking anywhere between 1-4 and usually if I feed at first wake up, he still sleeps until 6 regardless of when that first wake up occurred. I'm also mindful of the calendar and when it seems to be a growth spurt. I won't worry about bad habits or over feeding until baby starts waking more than 2 times/ night. Then I would probably feed at first wake and rock to sleep at second wake. But some babies won't settle without the boob. So then you're left with feed baby or pat baby and let baby cry. That's your choice.
Would you feed if he woke up at 11? I know it's my choice obvisouly, I like to get a sense what others are doing to make sure there's a variety and I'm not like way off base.
I only meant it's your choice on the crying part.
I wouldn't feed at 11 unless like tonight he went to sleep at 6. I might try to pat him but at 3 months I'm not ready for CIO so if he's not settling with anything else, yes I would feed him. It's all dependent on what time he went to bed and how/ If he ate at daycare and if he's also upping feedings during the day like a growth spurt.

At 3 months probably. At 6 months or older probably not. With my first she developed a habitual wake up that happened at 11pm every night. She would eat for a few minutes and then pass back out. Not even a full feeding but I was being woken up out of barely being asleep or having to stay up for it. We did cry it out around 6-8 months (can't remember when exactly) for 3 days with the first day lasting about 15 minutes and the next days lasting much less time. She was a great sleeper after that.
What have you ladies done to successfully increase supply? My girls aren't gaining as much as we (pedi and myself) would like so I'm going to try to increase my milk production.
Is it possible to let them comfort nurse or just cluster feed? I don't remember if you are back to work or not. I know they say the best thing it to keep baby at the breast, that an empty breast signals the body to make more. I've also had success with the mothers milk tea, they sell it at most big grocery stores.
I stay at home so I'm trying to feed more often and pump after feeds to stimulate more milk.
