Haha thanks for the offer. It seems like she has an off night like every other night, so maybe tonight will be good.
So I just saw the LC- she got him to take an ounce and also gave me exercises to do with him because his gag reflex is strong and he likes a short latch and is protective of his palate. She said he doesn't have a tongue tie and he has full use of his tounge and the lip looks good too. It's more just that his Gag reflex makes him not want anything in his palate. I've got a lot of ideas to try but I think it's going to take time.

vlagroupie - babies r us in Florence has them available for instore pick up today.
hi all, sorry been MIA lots of things going on with court, weight loss, part time jobs, attitude adjustments and anything else you can imagine... hope all is well!
JoBub - That is crazy high. I think all tips and tricks have been covered. Hope you figure out the culprit soon.
vlagroupie - I hope C feels better soon. Gripe water worked for us, but maybe she's got some reflux going on?
I don't think she has reflux unless it's silent reflux. She doesn't spit up or arch her back. I know she'll outgrow it. And I was really hoping to try the Windi but I can't find it in any stores in Cincinnati. I missed the cut off for free same day from amazon today Hopefully tonight will be better.
I see it at Buy Buy Baby all the time. Have you checked there?

I'm ready to start PT DS. The going naked is not an option because of the house - wide carpeting. Ideas? I'm thinking just doing underwear and hopefully he'll hate the feeling of being wet or dirty. And putting him on the toilet every hour.

Is he interested at all or telling you when he goes in his diaper? If not, I probably wouldn't try anything.
We never did naked time, just asking if he wanted to go/sit while he was still in diapers. When he was consistently peeing and staying dry in his diaper we switched to pull ups. We were in pull ups about a month before we switched to underwear in the day, and several months before we switched at night.

You're only in this apartment for a few more months, right? Seems like the perfect opportunity to just get it done. You're going to end up with pee on the carpet whether you go naked or straight to underwear.

Yes, he tells me he's gone or that he wants to sit on the potty (but does nothing once on the potty). I guess I can try the pull ups and see how it goes. I'm going to set up a sticker chart to go with it.

JoBub - Did you end up signing up for the yoga classes? I just saw that Blue Cocoon offers prenatal yoga Wednesday's at 6:30PM. Drop in rate is $12.50. I don't know what a pass would cost.
A teacher at the Edgewood Rainbow has a criminal abuse charge against her right now. That's not where my kid went but that whole organization has far too much turnover and not enough training. The good teachers are good but it's the rest that are scary. And they had cameras and she was a veteran teacher so how she didn't get caught until now I have no idea. I was all up in their business all the time and saw stuff I did not like or appreciate which is why I pulled my kid. Never again will I feel even a little bit bad for being all up in their business.

I just saw that on your FB. Child abuse is always awful, but a 14 month old at daycare makes my blood boil even more. Seriously awful

becole I saw several people share that. It's awful. On a related note, I was reading through STAR reports the other day and the dc by the Ft. Wright Walmart had an investigation because a teacher was (at the parent's request) spraying water in a 1yo biter's in the face anytime they bit or misbehaved or they were given a lemon juice and apple cider vinegar cocktail to drink. All I could think is WTF?
I think the post was taken down because it had a juveniles name in it but they need to gwt the word out.
Yes mrscatfarmer13 it was the Little Links to Learning. I know several families that are happy there and it's my understanding they had the parents permission but still- wtf. The lady that runs that place is a loon.

Here's the initial report findings from the dept of health and family services: Based on review of documentation, the director did not assure that the staff person complied with the agency's discipline policy. The policy states that "Staff will be prohibited from using negative means of punishment." The staff person signed the policy on 03/05/14 stating that she would adhere to the policy. Video footage was reviewed for 9/20/16 and in the footage it shows a two-year-old child on her mat with her head somewhat on the carpet. The teacher mentioned above, walks over to the child and forcefully drags her body back onto her cot by her left wrist and one leg. The teacher appears to be saying something to the child but there is no audio. The teacher then forcefully pushes the child's head down using her hand and rolls the child over onto her stomach and covers her up with her blanket. The child appears to be crying. At this point the teacher then reaches down and yanks the child's mat out from under her causing the child to land on the carpet. The teacher folds up the mat and places it on a shelf and then walks back over to the child and takes her blanket away from her and places it on top of the mat. The teacher then walks back over to the child who still appears to be crying and forcefully picks the child up by both of her wrists and walks her over to a table still holding on to her left wrist. She forcefully places the child in a chair and scoots the chair up to the table using her body and walks away. The staff person stated that the reason she removed her from her cot and placed at the table was because she was disrupting the other children.
ETA: these were other instances from the same investigation "eneral: Based on record review, the director did not assure that the staff person complied with the agency's discipline policy. The policy states that "Staff will be prohibited from using negative means of punishment." The staff person signed the policy on 03/05/14 stating that she would adhere to the policy. A video of the classroom from 9/20/16 shows a twoyear-old child was sitting at a table with other children eating lunch. The staff person in the classroom was viewed walking up and standing behind the two-year-old child and placing both of her hands on either side of the child's head and jerking her head back and looking down at her. She appears to say something to the child then lets her head go and walks away. It could not be determined if the staff person pulled the child's head back by grabbing her hair or the sides of her head.
