Because I'm over "hump day". Let's chat. So we got a positive for RSV yesterday at the dr. Then we commenced the wrestle mania royal rumble for 5 mins while we tried a nubulizer treatment so that was fun. Then my glass of wine ended up on my couch courtesy of the toddler. I'm going out and staying over night for 2 friends bdays downtown sat. Night. I'm praying to make it through the next couple of days 🙏🏻
What are you all up to today? Looking forward to anything special this weekend?
baytosa2013 so sorry things have been so tough the past few days. I hope your LO feels better soon!
Thanks, I figure it's just our turn at it. Things have gone pretty well for the last year since she was sick so we were due. We'll muddle through and it will pass!

I'm so jealous of new baby snuggles and Gilmore Girls, carrots, hope you're enjoying them! I think I was way to worried to enjoy maternity leave last time (is the baby hungry? should I change him? Is he sleeping enough? To much? Am I doing enough tummy time?) I'm really hoping to be able to enjoy the relative calm of a newborn after having a toddler if we have another!
As for me - I'm healthy, and DS is healthy. H is improving - he stayed home today, but plans to actually work from home, and is washing the sheets and eating, so he's on the mend. This week is relatively quiet at work, so I'm just coasting by for the weekend, we have so many fun plans, I can't wait!
LO is still incredibly lethargic. H has his turn with him today. He was asleep almost all day yesterday, awake I estimate about 6-7 hours. I was thinking about taking him to the doctor but H wants me to wait until Friday. He was sick Fri-Monday too but the extreme sleepiness did not kick in until Monday. Other symptoms cough, fever, runny nose, lack of appetite.
Other than that just trying to scurry around at work and get a million things done today.
Hope your little guy is ok Widget123. Keep us updated!
Sorry about the RSV baytosa2013, hope it gets better soon
I got DS a new lunch kit for preschool. They just have snack time so I'd just been sending him his little snack in Tupperware in his backpack but all the other kids had lunch kits and my sentimental mom guilt kicked in. So I asked if he wanted to pick one out, he asked for Star Wars to match his backpack (he's never even seen it but is obsessed with Star Wars merchandise lol!), waited ever so patient for it to come in the mail and when he got it yesterday it was like pure joy. He had trouble falling asleep last night and woke up much earlier than normal and I'm almost positive it was because he was so excited to take a lunch kit in his backpack today lol! At one point he even told me last night "All my other kids (how he describes his classmates) have lunch kits and now I have one too!!"
ETA just unpacked his lunch kit. He ate the most food I've ever seen him eat there lol! It never comes back (almost) empty!
It worries me too. I keep on second guessing myself about it. I am grilling H about LO's current status right now.
Is there an on call nurse at your doctor's office who you could speak to?
That is probably a good idea to call them and I can use that to help convince H who tends to think I am too quick to take the kids to see the doctor if they are sick. Now I am kicking myself I didn't just take him yesterday. H is home with LO but he is impossible to get ahold of most of the time, probably because he is listening to conference calls with his phone on mute. He did say that he doesn't think LO has had a fever today (although temps tend to worsen in the afternoon/evening) and ate some food for lunch (although still not nearly as much as normal)... so maybe he is getting a little better?
Widget123, +1 to at least putting a call in the the nurses. It will give everyone a sense of peace of mind.
budders, +whatever to the whole education thing. I'm not going to get on my soapbox now because I lack the mental facilities to do so.
I'm at work today. I have my hardest class of the week in 20 minutes. I am freaking exhausted and just want to curl up under my desk for a nap. I'm also performing in a concert tonight so I'll be getting home after 9 and will be responsible for so many students tonight. The other music teacher has a respiratory infection and no voice. Makes things fun. We're quite a pair.
Okay. Off to work or something. Maybe a 10 minute break with my eyes closed.
