My right boob is a side show freak with the milk. Left boob step it up!! (Featuring my sexy turquoise robe, again)
That is exactly how I feel! Since day one my right has so much more milk!! No matter what I do my left just doesn't keep up!
Yeah I've tried pumping my left more and putting LO on the left first for most feedings. He gets fussy fast on that side, he knows the right is a-flowing with milk.

DS has been sleeping like a champ...3-4 hour stretches since we bought the RNP at a few days old. These days he still goes about 3 hours between feedings, but takes forever to go back to sleep. I'm officially entering sleep deprivation territory. Add in my damn dog barking sporadically from 9-midnight and I'm ready for a nap.
On the plus side, the housekeepers are here today. They might be my favorite people in the world.
I've started pumping some excess for when I return to work in two weeks - I'm using a hand pump right now since I didn't want to invest in an electric pump without knowing if I would be able to produce milk well.
I'm only able to pump about 2oz at at time right now, my milk came in about five days ago. I know pumping will help to increase the amount that I'm making but I'm a little frustrated by my low output so far.
LO went through 4 changes of clothes yesterday between spit ups and poopsplosions.... Trying to use up the last of the NB diapers but not sure if my washing machine can keep up at this rate for the next couple of days LOL. On a side note: SNOW DAY!

The weatherman keeps changing our forecast. In the past 24hrs we have been downgraded from 5-8inches to <1inch. This makes me very sad. I was really hoping for a good snow especially since I'm stuck at home anyway. Sorry for all of you ladies dealing with a ton of the white stuff and freezing temps, but this Tennessee girl would be happy if you would be so kind as to send some her way.

Is this from both sides or one? I get 2 oz out of 1 breast when I pump. My LO is 6 weeks old so I'm guessing you have nothing to worry about just yet

2 oz is actually average for breastfeeding women so don't get too frustrated with yourself! I've found that drinking a gatorade or two a day has increased my supply. Coconut water is also good for that too.

Sorry to everyone who's enduring freezing weather and snow! Our forecast for snow in Nebraska keeps getting pushed back. None so far, this pleases me!
We feel like champions today because our LO only woke up to eat 3 times "overnight." She ate at 1030, 145 am, and like 545 am! And she spent part of the night in her crib, NONE in my arms sleeping. Sweet success for us. Now if I can get her to stop peeing a tidal wave as soon as I toss her dirty diaper and just before I place a new one.
Does anyone else's LO have baby acne? L broke out this week. How long does it usually last? Is there anything I can do or should I just leave it alone? Also, anyone use baby lotion for dry skin? So far I haven't, but he's peeling all over.

We have real snow! Taking the toddler sledding after his nap. I'm excited to see what he thinks. Grammy is still here through the end of the week so I have to take advantage of the free baby holding while I can.

See if your insurance company will pay for an electric pump. Then you don't have to pay for one at all and I've never had good luck with manual pumps
I have 4 little bears, just like my name says. 2 girls 2 boys ages 8,5,3, and my newest babe. 2 of my little bears have life threatening food allergies, feel free to ask me more about that!
Called about the heat again... it's the whole building. Apparently, because of how shitty the windows and seal on the AC's are, everyone has their heat cranked all the way up and the boilers can't compete. SOOO glad we don't pay for heat here because I can't imagine the bill, but I bet I'd have my own boiler if we did. *sigh* Just get it reasonable in here for my newborn, k? thanks.
laceysbryan happy 1 month to our lo's! Mine is a month too. Crazy how the time flies.
DH had the day off so we're enjoying some extra family time. Definitely staying in today (and all weekend actually) because it's cold as balls here. Good time to catch up on the dvr!
When it rains it pours. Mentioned about my cats the other day in UO. But now I found someone has been pissing up the front bedroom. I've had it. The kid had a really rough day yesterday the kid was awake for six or seven hours during the day and was a real demon to put to sleep. Today he sleeping to catch up.

When DS has a little breakout I put breast milk on it and it clears up pretty fast. Also, he was really dry and peely for the first couple weeks. I used baby lotion and coconut oil after exfoliating with a wet washcloth.
